I bought these for my son - who is in high school. He has wide feet and does not like shoes that feel constricting in any way, shape or form. These fit the bill! He loves them. These are honestly a wide shoe (not a shoe that runs narrow and is now called wide). Super comfortable, holds up well for P.E. class and doing whatever else boys do to their shoes. I imagine, though, give us 4-6 more months and we'll need another pair. But glad to know these work and I can reorder them. Thank you New Balance for making great shoes for wide feet. You have no idea how that has helped me as a mom of 2 boys with wide feet. THANK YOU.

I bought these for my 15 yo son and he loves them. He has another pair of New Balance shoes that he loves and I got these to replace them. So far so good and he's SUPER picky. Hope that helps. He's a 13 wide, btw.

Fit great and is comfortable.

Great fit and very comfortable. My wife an i walk every morning and they have a great cushioned feel.

It is very difficult to find sneakers for my 12 year old son that are both stylish and comfortable. These are wide enough for him, comfortable and get his approval on style.

This shoe was as expected being from NB! Bought for husband who is very happy with these shoes. He had worn NB in the past and tried some other brands and nothing has fit as well as NB! Color and styling are very good also. Would recommend.

Great fit right out of the box. I have two very different feet and it is hard to find a shoe that works for both but these feel great and give needed support.

Have worn this shoe for years with great results. Local NB store closed so my convenient supply dried up! Have a wide forefoot and high arch and these shoes have kept me from foot problems I have had with others over the years (including Plantar Faciitis). Last time I bought this style my store told me it was due for an update and this one is it! The 840v4 continues a long line of good NB shoes for my feet. I have an orthotic that fits perfectly and makes the wearing of this shoe even better for me. I like the color change and design features on the shoe. They are so comfortable. I have worn them out several times to break them in and will start running in them soon. I am certain they will wear well like my former versions. I usually buy a new version each year.

I have a wide foot and run with orthotics. These are only the second neutral show I have found that are wide enough for me and allow for my orthotics. The last of the 840’s is perfect. Even 4E’s in other NB’s are not wide enough. The onset arch support is poor but I remove them and use my orthotics to get the right support

These fit perfect (ordered my usual size). The standard width is a little wider than other brands which adds to the comfort. Really nice cushioning and arch support. Lightweight and well vented. Comfortable to wear all day. Have not tried jogging in them yet because I like them so much I'm trying to keep them nice for normal daily wear. Just wish they were a bit cheaper!

Great shoe! I’ve had several pairs, in succession, of the 840,v.3...no longer available. THESE, the v.4 are comfortable, yet supportive! They are stylish..even my husband commented positively on them.I need the men’s 4E, as the women’s New Balance in this style doesn’t come in the extra width. Keep producing this shoe...nice wide & deep toe box!! Thank you

Received these shoes 2 days before leaving for 3-1/2 weeks in Berlin and Vienna. Lived in them for those 3-1/2 weeks. Couldn't have made a better decision. As I have 4E feet, I've bought only NB athletic shoes for several decades. These have to be among the very most comfortable.

Very versatile running shoe. Lots of support but not too heavy. Fits well.

These shoes are the absolute best I have found to accommodate my gnarled toes, two of which have been pinned in conjunction with the two bunionectomies I have had. My walking gets more stable day by day. The tall toe box helps my toes get into more normal positions. They’re just what a chiropractor and a podiatrist said I needed, but I didn’t find them till ZAPPOS.

I broke my ankle and New Balance are the only running/ exercise/ walking shoes that don't hurt my feet when exercising.

Great shoes.

Decent shoe for the price. Stable with good lateral support. I would recommend this shoe.
