Very warm comfortable coat. Not a huge fan of the double zipper.

I really love this coat for winter. Very warm and long so it keeps your legs warm. Goes great with any outfit. One thing I don't like it that feathers keep popping through the jacket.

Love this coat! Its not puffy and it flatters my shape. The only thing I would change is that it is a little too long. Im 5"3 so I need to wear heals with it or else I look a frumpy.

I just purchased this jacket, and although I absolutely love it, I just wanted to point out that this jacket really does run a little small. I am 5'5 and 125 and this jacket is so beautiful on, but it is a little snug around the torso/chest area. Not to the point where it is uncomfortable/unbearable, but I wish I bought this in a medium only because that would give me the option to layer a lot more in very cold weather. Dont get me wrong, I can easily wear a sweater/cardigan underneath and still be comfortable, but I also have a petite frame and smaller curves, so maybe keep that into consideration. I tested this jacket without a sweater, and I felt cold in 25 degree weather. I tested this in 25 degree weather with a sweater and did not feel cold. The length of the coat falls right at my knees so I love the length, because it covers my thighs. Overall I would recommend but consider going up a size if you like to layer.

I ordered my metropolis North Face parka after reading many reviews regarding size. I decided to go with XS as I'm 97 lbs and 5'2. It was way too small. I had to return it to the store and order a size small and wait another 5-7 days for shipping. The length of the arms in the XS was never going to work when I stretched my arms even a little. Also, when I would reach for my seatbelt I could feel tightness in the back/shoulder and it made it uncomfortable. I received the parka in Small a week later and it fits perfectly. I ordered the graphite grey and it is very chic looking with the tone on tone logo. I am so happy I went with grey. Right now I only use the snaps but I'm sure that when Mi really gets snow, I'll use both the snaps and the zipper. I love how lightweight it is. The only thing that would improve this coat is...if the pockets were bigger or deeper. I also don't know why they went from a 600 down fill to a 550 fill? I care much more about being warm than it looking puffy. Overall worth it. I'm happy. I've occasionally wondered who in the world can fit that XS?

I purchased this coat online along with a few other brands, I compared them and have to say this one was by far worth the money. I was worried about spending too much, but when I saw the other coats I realized why its so much. It is super warm and comfy. The only thing I would say is that I wish it was lined with some fleece or something on the inside like the inside of the pockets are, but still a great buy!

This is an awesome jacket. Very light weight and warm, but I bought one for my mother since I loved it so much. She is a larger framed woman and these jackets are tailored tighter around the waist. Great for the slender frame.

The coat is nice and it does fit. I am an apple shape, 5ft8 and 200lbs, size 14/16 misses,, not women's. I hope that helps with guessing if it will fit. I live in a climate that is very windy and damp in the winter. We do not get much snow but the wind is always 30 or more miles per hour and we are out in the open. I like to walk and I do not like to feel like I cannot move because of layering up. I purchased this coat in hopes of being able to walk in the winter and not have to wear 4 layers and still be warm. Overall, so far it seems to fit the bill. Our coldest mornings at 5 am have been in the low to mid 20's and winds about 25 to 35 mph. I tested the coat when it arrived by wearing it out with only a light t-shirt and jeans under it. My arms were a little chilled, but the rest of me was nice and comfortable. I wish the arms were a little warmer and that is a disappointment for me, since I paid almost 300 for the coat. That is why I gave it a good and not great review. Work on making the arms warmer and it would be great. If you wear a long sleeved sweater it is a good winter coat that blocks the wind and is water resistant. I would recommend this if your in a climate that is above zero or you would need to add layers.

I have worn this coat 4 times and love it. After trying on all the coats, this fit the best and wasn't as bulky as a couple of the other knee length NF coats. The only thing I found that is a bit disturbing is the strip of fabric where the snaps are. It is already pilling and looks ragged. I am assuming it is from rubbing on the zipper. Hopefully it doesn't get worse.

Absolutely love it. it's so warm, fits fairly true to size. 5'8 140lbs and ordered a small. A little short in the arms but hits a few inches above the knee and plenty baggy for sweaters underneath

This was a good coat. I got the olive green color (can't remember the name) but good color. Have not worn it outside during brutally cold winter yet, but seems like it will be warm enough.

I purchased this jacket since I work downtown and have to commute. It does keep you warm and toasty but it isn't as warm as I though it would be. Overall I would recommend this jacket for Chicago winters

I purchased the metropolis last year in brown, the number on the sleeve is 600.00 which means the count of down which would make the coat warmer. This year I purchased t he same coat in black and the number on the sleeve is 550, I hope this new coat is as warm as my old North face I purchased last year. Your company should let the consumer know what they are purchasing.

I like this jacket, it keeps me warm from head to just above the knee and is comfortable. It tends to have cold spots on the front upper arm area. If it's really cold, I wear a light fleece under it. The hood tightening straps are easy to use, but adjust so that it appears that my head is very tall. Not so flattering, but keeps me warm. My only complaints are more pockets are needed inside, a waist adjusting strap would be nice, and vents on side would be a great feature. The best thing about North Face jackets are they last a long time, so I know I'll be wearing this one for years to come.

Great coat, LOVE the coat! However, it had a bit of wear on it... threads and a snagged spot. Didn't feel like sending it back and waiting another entire 10 days to get it, winter would be over!

So far the coat has not given me any issues. Its nice and warm and at the same time its not heavyweight which is a huge plus because I commute alot to and from work. The only tiny thing I notice is that the feathers keep coming out but other than that so far, so good!

This jacket is very beautiful and long, up to my knees (I am 5'7"). The only thing I didn't like about this jacket is that it did not have a belt, but other than that I highly recommend the jacket!!
