When I recieved this coat, I thought, "I paid $300 for this?!" But as thin as it is, it's so warm! And it's perfectly form fitting. Great fit and great function.

I love this coat. It's lightweight, doesn't look overly puffy and keeps me very warm and toasty on cold mornings. So glad that I ordered it. I will definitely purchase more North Face products.

Being a born and raised Florida girl, I was not ready for Michigan winter. My whole body freezes. I've heard great reviews about this jacket and had to try it for myself. This jacket exceeds my expectations. The only part pf my body that is cold is everywhere BUT whats not covered by my jacket. I'm 5'2 and 115lbs. I ordered a Small and it fits great. Plenty of room to add layers, or no layers and still be fine.

I love this jacket! It's warm but light weight and the fit is very flattering. It runs just a little on the small side but I'd definitely order it again.

This coat is definitely worth all the money! I went a size up because wearing my regular size with a sweatshirt was too snug around the middle, but going a size up and it fits perfectly and is comfortable to sit down in with it zipped.

Admittedly I've NEVER liked these poofy coats. In fact I always tell husband I don't think they look good on anyone. But I live in Michigan and haven't had a new coat since 2003. It was time. On a whim I tried this one on while on my way out the door of a department store. I was expecting it to look awful. I was wrong. I've heard people complain about the newer, more flattering cut, but it is really attractive. Not only that, it's insanely warm and super comfortable. Sometimes I just look for reasons to go outside so I can put it on. It's like a wearable sleeping bag. I agree with others that occasionally a feather or two pop out of the coat. So far it doesn't seem to be a huge issue. Perhaps a thicker exterior would prevent that? This is my second North Face jacket. I also have a rain/coat (not sure of the name, Resolve maybe?) and I really like it. I will say in my opinion it seems all North Face products run small. I'm 5'7, 145 pounds and wear a 6/8. I bought a medium and it fits very nicely. I wouldn't buy it bigger. I think part of the reason they run small is so they're closer to the body and, therefore, they keep you warmer. I highly recommend this comfortable, attractive and super warm parka!

Great fitting, warm but now bulky. Received several compliments. I love the white - stands out in a sea of black and gray. Olivia Pope would be proud.

Wife loves it. She complains about being cold at football and baseball games, but not anymore. She loves the length and warmth.

Really love the deep black color and the hat is just perfect not to big and not to small. The jacket is a little snug in the chest area but overall true to size. It's a little bit longer than expected but works for me. Very very warm but not to puffy.

Great jacket. Was skeptical of the level of warmth at first because of how light weight the jacket is... But It has kept me warm! Especially on those cold days of recess duty at work. Love it and so happy I saved up for this jacket!

So difficult for me to find a medium in this color. After trying many stores, you had 1 remaining in medium. All my daughter wanted for Christmas! Perfect surprise for her, she loves this coat!

I love the Metropolis! I originally intended to buy the Miss Metro but the coat was too big on me and was so warm that it belonged to a resident of Outer Mongolia, not the mountains of Colorado, which is where I live. I am 5'2" 100 pounds and the xs Metropolis coat fit me perfectly. The arms do not need hemming and the coat hits me at the knees. It is a fitted coat on me which is why I said that the coat runs small. There is enough room for me to wear a down sweater underneath. This addition turns the coat into an oven. I purchased the black which is elegant enough to wear to any dressy affair, however, I use my coat for outdoor activities. This morning, it was 18 degrees and snowing and I was able to stand outside without moving for an extended period and I was comfy---miracle. Thank you North Face for making such an outstanding coat. Thanks also to the retailer who sold me the coat for 25% off.

My daughter loved everything about this jacket but realized the color I ordered does not fair well with four boys. We are returning for the color black.

So comfortable, warm and such a flattering fit... Braving the maine cold in this jacket is a breeze :)
