Bought this same coat 4 yrs ago when I moved back to Cleveland from FL - it SAVED me! Was ready for a new one but noticed they changed the fit so I didn't buy one last year. This year they seemed to have listened to customers because they made an additional size - XXL - it's like the old XL. With heavy winter clothes you need it to fit right and not be tight. I am into warmth not sexy! Who cares if it is a "fitted look"? Got it in red and it is gorgeous - cannot wait to wear it. I have a huge dog I walk and this Metropolis is the only way to go. Appears very well made and new zipper too. So glad I bought it AND early.....they get sold out fast once cold weather hits. This coat is a "workhorse"!!!

This coat is light weight and will definitely keep you warm in any weather.

The length of this coat is perfect in that it covers tunics and long sweaters. Many down coats are shapeless and this coat in not so it doesn't look boxy like many others. My daughters love it so much they all want one for Christmas! I would definitely recommend to a friend.

I just moved to Washington, D.C. to start my PhD program. This jacket is great to walk to the university when there is snow on the streets. I have recommended this product to my friend. It is great! I love it!

I bought this coat because I am going to the university of Michigan this year and it had great reviews. I can't comment on its warmth because I have yet to use it but it is very comfortable and lightweight.

I adore this coat. I bought one from Eddie Bauer and one from Lands End, both returned, before finding this gem. I need something to keep me toasty during the midwest winters and recess duty. This teacher coat was the answer to my prayers. It's perfect for wind, light rain, and SNOW. I love that it comes down to my knees to keep me warm all over. I wear it when I walk my dog too. I couldn't be happier. Don't spend your time looking at anything else. This is the way to go.

I park quite a distance from my place of employment & I've always dreaded the walk in Winter because I wear scrubs and it's FREEZING!!! Not anymore! I am in love with this coat! It is the perfect length. It's so comfortable and is not confining or constricting in any way -even when I'm driving; yet I am always completely warm. I don't think I'll ever need another!

This is my second Metropolis jacket. The zipper broke on the first one after about 5 years of owning it. I live in Michigan, so I wear it every day from October through April, so it really did perform well. The NF warranty is fantastic - I just took the jacket back to the store & they shipped it out for me. A new one was shipped to me because they couldn't replace it (I had an older version of the Metropolis). I love the length, its very warm & very durable.

Love this coat. I wanted a longer length coat to walk in the city and be warmer overall. I have an old short northface that I still wear but needed and wanted something almost to my knee. Can wear with pants or a skirt with boots. Warm and not bulky. I usually wear size small or medium and bought a medium in this . Plenty of room for a sweater underneath

I am outside with preschoolers in Michigan weather and this parka is perfect. It keeps you warm and isn't big and bulky like other jackets like it. I would reccomend this to anyone!
