I had the same coat in a light color for 10 years and loved it. It became too small and it was time for a new one. It is the best, most warm and breathable coat I have ever owned. I suggest a dark color. The light shows every little bit of dirt and I had to constantly wash it.

This coat will be perfect for winter...it is warm but not bulky! I always wanted to get a longer parka length winter coat and this one is perfect!

The best all around coat for the winter. Folds up easily for travel. Lightweight but warm. Goes anywhere.

I have this same coat and loved it so much I bought one for my daughter who is a freshman Michgan State. She will definitely love having it for those cold Michgan days.

This coat was just what I was looking for. The length is great for keeping my legs warm without having to put on other gear. Easy to throw on and get out of the house quick to walk/run the dog and then head to work. Very warm and waterproof, fits very nicely and looks good.

Go to school at UW Eau Claire, that's northwest Wisconsin. Lots of cold and snow. The long length gives so much added warmth. Don't usually like hoods but in this climate it's a must. Best is the hood is removable if not needed.

I love the way this coat fits! Very flattering for a down parka. The sleeves are not too short which seems to always be my problem with my long arms. Would recommend this for cold winters.

I didn't think that this coat could be as warm as others have claimed but its true, it is, and I love it.

This was a present for my mom. I would not recommend to wear it without a sweater though.

I go to school in Maine... Although I've never spent this much money (a lot for a college kid) I thought it was important to invest in a really good warm coat that I can wear for years... I found it :)

I just bought a new NF Metropolis to replace the one I have had for about 10 years. This coat is light and warm enough for walking the dogs on a cold day and stylish enough to use as my coat for the office. Love the new colors - got the graphite grey heather and love it. I will miss some of the features of the old coat like the fleece lining on the collar next to my neck and agree with another comment that knit cuffs would be useful to keep cold air out of the sleeves. Maybe when I buy my next one in another 10 years, those features will have been added. In the meantime, I will enjoy my new coat this winter.

I use this product to go about my daily activities in a very cold and somewhat snowy climate. I love this jacket because it keeps my legs warm. It's comfortable and I never feel restricted. This jacket is not bulky at all and makes a great winter coat. Worth every penny!

Just received product but uber satisfied

I am 5'5 120 lbs. I have a very narrow torso and upper body. I initially purchased the Medium in Heather Grey based off reviews of people having to send their smalls back because the coat was too small. However, on receiving the Metropolis, the coat was just too big and wide, especially around my torso and legs. It was unflattering and looked like an expensive potato sack. I decided to return the Medium for a small. However, I was worried that the small would have to short of sleeves or would be so tight I wouldn't be able to fit a sweatshirt underneath. I just received my small in the mail today. I decided to go with TNF Black this time, and I am very happy I did. As far as the fit goes, I am so happy I returned it! The small fits perfectly and is VERY flattering. The sleeves are long enough and the coat is very breathable, and there is room for layers underneath. I am very happy with this purchase! Hoping to see how the coat stands up to Northern Indiana weather this winter!

I looked for a stylish, fitted, knee-length coat. This fit the bill perfectly. I am 5'9"/136 lbs and the medium fits beautifully.

I love this coat. It is so cute and comfortable and incredibly warm! I couldn't wait to wear it when I got it in the mail, and have worn it a few nights out when it has been extremely cold. I would buy it again and again, no doubt!

I love this coat! It is the first winter jacket I have had that isn't too bulky and is comfortable to wear, all while still being warm and body flattering.

I use my metropolis down parka black coat in Chicago when the winds are strong and will continue wearing it when we receive cold temperatures with snow. I invested in this jacket because it is made out of feathers and the condition of it is durable. This is the type of jacket that will last for years and will not disappoint me when the temperature is below zero.

This jacket is the most stylish, warmest, most comfortable jacket that I own (and I own many jackets). I have been wanting this NorthFace jacket for 2 years now and finally got it for my birthday! Best present ever!! It comes in handy for sitting out on the baseball field!
