I love this coat but I had to return the medium because it was too tight. I'm 5'6" and weigh 140 lbs. I may order the large, but I'm considering a couple of the other coats as well. One thing the Metropolitan lacks is cuffs under the sleeves. Its the little things.

I bought this for my daughter, who is always cold, and she loves it!

Use this to walk the dog on our blustery days...also for running around town. Toasty warm.

I live in mid-Michigan & have been wanting a longer, non-dress coat for a couple years. I am so glad I bought this! The length is perfect, and hits just to my knees (I'm 5'5, 150# and ordered a M). It feels light but is very warm! And I love the charcoal grey color! It hasn't even gotten that cold in MI yet but I couldn't wait to start wearing it.

Great long parka for cold weather & wind! comfortable & movable

I bought this because I needed a new coat for the cold Minnesota winters. My old one wasn't long enough to keep my legs warm. I love the length of this, it keeps me so warm! It comes down a little past my knees. I'm 5'3". I'm really happy with the color, too. I went with the heathered grey and it's beautiful.

This is super light and warm. And the shape is beautiful! I 'd like to wear for decades!

I love this coat. I live in Chicago where it gets pretty cold. This coat is warm and true to size. I would highly recommend buying it.

Gift to myself after last "winner" winter

I LOVE this jacket!!! I have wanted this jacket for years and finally just got one as a gift. It is pricey but worth it as I live in Michigan and will wear for many many years to come. Easy to walk in and tailored so not super bulky. Incredibly warm which is great for running outside with 3 kids.

I love the weight of this coat. It is light, yet warm. It does run on the small size so I did size up.

I was really impressed with my parka. I am small and I was worried that this would be too heavy or bulky but it is just right for me. I like the color and I feel stylish with it. Overall, it keeps me VERY warm and it is good for a Nebraska winter.

I am so glad I bought this jacket. It's very classy looking and is warm so I don't feel like I've compromised one for the other. I live in central NH and this coat befits our weather conditions! LOVE

This jacket is so super cute and cozy. I am from California, but recently moved to Ohio, so I was in need of a good coat, and this thing has become the love of my life. Its lightweight so you don't feel like the michelin man, but it will still keep you super warm. The length is perfect, falling right above my knees (I'm 5'5 and I have a medium). Overall I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for something warm but still cute.

Bought this to replace a very well loved and used NF parka. This is my favorite winter coat. Running errands or playing with the kids...it keeps me warm and dry. Perfect for Michigan weather! Will continue to buy this parka again and again!

Yesterday, I put on my coat for the first time this season and was reminded how much I love it. I was dreading going out and considering skipping walking the dog. 35 degrees with 20mph winds whipping in over the harbor. I was completely comfortable in my coat and remembered that I don't need to dread the oncoming weather. This will be my 3rd winter with this coat and I can say it has changed my lifestyle and attitude towards winter. it shows almost no signs of wear. Thank you!

I've lived in the Midwest my entire life and every winter, I dread the cold and wind. This coat was exactly what I was looking for: lightweight but warm, steel gray color without shine, perfect fit, stylish without feeling like I was wearing a down sleeping bag, and did I mention warm? I wore this on a 40 degree day and was comfortable. The next time I wore it on a 25 degree day with 30-40 mile and hour winds and snow blowing, with a light sweater underneath. I was warm and cozy. Every detail from the lining of the pockets, the sturdy zipper, snaps down the front, to the quality of the materials was what I had hoped for and found in North Face.

I absolutely love this jacket. I got the Heather grey one and i am obsessed with it. I really like the color and the new texture of it. It is so snug and comfy. I definitely recommend it.

I love, love, love this coat. It's warm and flattering - not the bulky look you get with some down coats. Suitable for casual days, nights out, the office. I will say that I prefer a snug fit and the small works better for me than the medium that was recommended on the size chart for my height and weight (5'5" and 140 lbs, small boned and proportional).
