Not too heavy, not too light. This is the perfect coat for when I bop around in northern Wisconsin and travel home to the sunny west coast. Not sure exactly why the brand makes me feel so good, but it does. The North Face logo commands attention and respect. The color, cut, and overall tailoring of my North Face coat turns heads. Count me as one of your many, long-time satisfied customers who appreciates North Face's attention to detail and is willing to pay a little extra for high quality.

I bought this product for my college daughter who has a very long walk to class. The campus is very open and windy. It's exactly what she needed to make the trek to class! She was so excited to receive it!

Great for cold weather & great for lightweight

I purchased this coat online because my local sporting good store does not carry the size in the store. I ordered XXL. I love the color (Heather grey), love that it has a hood, the coat is light weight, can be zipped or just snapped close if in a hurry. Zipper is a two way zipper, goes up from the bottom, and down from the top. Very comfortable. I was very disappointed the sporting goods store does not carry all sizes available, but very happy with the online purchase, service and promptness of delivery.

I was so excited to finally purchase this parka after years of putting it off. I love it because it's very easy to move around in, and super comfortable. The texture of the jacket is so smooth, it makes you want to take a nap in it! Super warm, and definitely worth every penny!

I searched high and low for the perfect winter coat. I live in Connecticut, so the winters can be like last year--mild and then mounds of snow and subzero temperatures! The features I love on the Metropolis Parka are the hood (gotta protect the hair from snow and wind), color (I got juniper teal), the cozy sueded collar, the twill backing to snaps instead of velcro to catch on everything, the length (above the knee), and the fitted shape. I also like the way the down is quilted--I don't like coats with just horizontal lines because it makes me look like the marshmellow puff man. The inside breast pocket is nice for my cell phone as well. I can line it with a thin polartec for extra insulation, so the 500 down does not bother me. I'm looking forward to wearing it this winter! I purchased the size large, and it fits fine--I'm 5'7" and 160#. I also purchased the cable minna beanie in juniper teal, and it looks real cute with it.

I had an earlier version of this coat that I literally wore out after 10 years. I wore it to a football game in Greenbay, Wisconsin in January of 2008 that ranks as the third coldest game in NFL playoff history and it kept me quite warm. I will retire my original coat this winter, but I am happy to have a replacement. Best coat I have ever owned.

I bought this coat to wear to my kids outdoor school events. I loved the length and the light weight of this coat!

I looked everywhere for a quality parka of this length, I live in a bitter cold part Of Utah and regular length parkas just don't cut it, but longer one's are nearly impossible to find. However this one fit the bill perfectly and it even came in red my favorite color. I couldn't be more thrilled with this coat; it is everything I was looking for, the fit is very flattering and it keeps me super warm. Highly recommend.

We haven't had cold weather yet- but I have heard good things about the warmth- I know this winter I will be covered!!!!!

I have been looking for a coat just like this for over a year. It's perfect for cold days and versatile enough to walk the dogs and also wear to work.

My daughter has borrowed this parka from her friends many times. She jumped at the chance to own one of her own. She attends college in the Northeast where temperatures can be frigid. She loves the fact that it keeps her whole body warm and can be worn with pants and dresses too.

Everything was just fine my friends !!!!
