Bought for Alaska trip. Kept my feet warm and dry. Lightweight and comfortable. Could have been a tad wider.

This Boot was beautiful but too short for my size 12 left foot...

These boots are comfortable and fit just right for my regular size. However, they are waterproof and I felt like they would make my feet sweat as they didn't seem to breathe like leather should.

Just in case it isn't common knowledge, I'd like to make it clear that even people with extra wide feet still like to go hiking and do active things. Weird, I know, but it's true. So New Balance...please help us get good foot gear and we will be forever grateful & loyal customers, I promise it is true! I have to return these because, even though the shoe was quite good looking, it is too narrow for my wide feet. Other reviews stated it, but I had to try them since there are so few options out there in an WW toe box. I got the 6.5, my true size, and the 7, because, ya know... comfy hiking socks, etc. Sadly, the boots are way too snug. I have New Balance in a tennis shoe, and it's pretty comfy, and I appeal to the makers of the shoe to provide a hiking boot with similar toe box experience. I'm going to send this review to New Balance itself, since I am on the Zappos site, but I urge other people with wide feet to send their requests to New Balance as well.

I have tried half a dozen pairs of boots trying to find an attractive, waterproof leather women's boot in a size 12, suitable for walking in the city and hiking around Scotland. These will work although they aren't exactly what I wanted. On the positive side, they're New Balance and they actually fit. I'm going to have some additional orthotics added at the specialty shoe store because there isn't quite enough arch support for me. Why can't shoe companies make shoes and boots in a women's size 12? If they offer a size 11, why not a 12? Surely there are lots of us who need a larger shoe or boot because of foot surgery or significant differences in the size of our feet. Even the local specialty shoe store doesn't stock a lot of 12's and they don't seem all that interested in broadening their inventory. Thank goodness for Zappo's! I usually take 7WW in New Balance, but I read the other reviews and ordered 7.5WW, which was too small. I then ordered 8WW, which was too big. The sizing is very strange on this one.

After reading the other reviews, I ordered 7.5 (I usually take a 7), but it was too small. Unfortunately Zappos is out of stock of the 8. I liked the style, and it seemed to have good cushioning and support.

RE: BROWN LEATHER..These are not a true EE and the give is minimal so, though they are insulted, wearing thick socks makes them less wearable

I happily wore a pair of these in size 7.5 W for over a year (which really felt like a Medium width.) Then my feet started to spread at the toe box. I ordered a 7.5 EE and they are EXACTLY the same as the W. There is no difference whatsoever. I measured the sole with a ruler and they are identical. Very disappointed. Sending them back!

New Balance is my go to running shoe brand, as I have wide feet. These were narrow, and my toes felt cramped. For the price they have to be perfect, so I am returning them.

I used to be able to count on New Balance fitting perfectly. I have an unusual size -- a small yet extra wide foot. And even though I order the same size I've always ordered, the latest shoes are all way too tight, just as this one was. If you have an average sized foot I would still endorse New Balance as a great shoe, but if you're a little out of the ordinary like me, look elsewhere.

I love these shoes, they are just a bit too small in the toe box

I originally bought these in a 8.5 wide. I have purchased New Balance shoes for many years and always in the same size. These boots run narrow! I returned the first pair and at the suggestion of the customer service rep ordered the 8.5EE (extra wide). They fit perfectly and where comfortable right out of the box. I would recommend when ordering this style you buy one width up from your normal size.
