These felt like the boots from heaven for about an hour - until the lining wrinkled. Initially I thought that I had a sock wrinkle but the sock was smooth. It felt like the entire lining was not firmly attached to the boot. If I could give the boot a zero I would. I am terribly disappointed. The fit was right, they felt wonderful - then pain. I bought two sizes so I could try different sock arrangements and the second pair started to develop the same problem.

I love NB shoes because I have very wide feet. I was so excited to order these boots, but so disappointed when I tried them on. They were no way a standard New Balance WW! They felt more like a medium width!

Have wide, short feet. Have been having great luck with New Balance athletic shoes for years. Loved the look of these, unfortunately they were painfully narrow even though "Extra Wide". So sad.

I ordered these boots because I needed a waterproof, skid proof boot that wasn't heavy for a seasonal job I got with UPS. These boots are absolutely perfect. They match with the brown uniform with a little bit of pop with that pink in them. Anyways, total comfort all the way around. I'm on my feet all day delivering packages, walking up and down stairs and back and forth to the truck....and these shoes have held up great! Very comfortable and true to size. And they got shipped out almost immediately after I ordered them. Kudos to Zappos and New Balance for selling such a great boot! Money well spent!

When it comes to buying shoes, Zappos is my go to online dealer. With this latest order (shopping for hiking boots) I placed and returned two separate orders, each shipment containing four or five different boot brands/styles - for free! I depend on the reviews of customers when determining which shoes to purchase and that is extremely helpful. These boots are so comfortable, right out of the box. I have been walking daily in them in preparing for a trip to Austria and I have not found any problems with them. I thought that I would need to buy some wool socks but these boots are very warm in our 30-40 degree weather. Lacing are ample in length and stay tied. I walked through puddles and they stayed dry. I struggle with plantar fasciitis and the cushion is wonderful as is the heel rise which is necessary for me. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and highly recommend them. And thanks, Zappos, as always!

I have to echo the reviews of others with wide feet. I have been wearing NB 6-6.5 EE for years so I ordered 6.5 EE in these and they are too narrow. I am returning them and will try at 7 EE to see if that works.

I am reviewing the dark brown waterproof women's trailwalker boot, ww1400v1. This boot is coming apart after less than 6 months of casual day walking. Cust service at the new balance factory will not replace it , but only give a partial credit toward a new pair from their website. My size is not in stock and unlikely to restock until the late summer. There was already a problem with the size being too short and I had already worn the boots a few weeks so couldn't return that pair. EVERY pair of shoes or boots from this company has laces that won't stay tied, so I have to buy flat laces locally. If there were minus stars I would give them a minus ten.

Like others, I ordered this boot because a need a WW and New Balance usually fits the bill. This boot was nowhere near wide enough for me and also didn't provide the side support that I would expect from a boot that would be worn over rougher terrain for longer periods of time. I returned it.

Very comfortable. Lots of toe wiggling room. And.. great looking!

Love these. I've been searching for a comfortable casual high top shoe/hiking boot that I can wear most of the day year round. North Face stopped making my favorite pair and their current ones are terrible for my feet. These NB are comfortable, supportive and cushy. I put them on when they arrived and took them off at bedtime!

The boot provides a lot of support; I wear it both for walking as well as hiking. I don't recommend for walking in snow.

This shoe looked great and I was very excited. But after wearing around the house found it to be too narrow for my wide foot. Although I have all New Balance shoes in 8.5 W, these felt very narrow. Disappointed in New Balance, but so glad I ordered from Zappos, and will be returning today.

As others have said, this boot is not an extra wide width. It's more like a C-D width with the emphasis on the C. It also seems to be a half size shorter than my old NB boots. I liked the lighter weight, but it's going back

Love these waterproof boots! I am a size 6.5 with an over pronation problem. I bought them in a 7 so that they could accommodate my orthotics. The fit and support are perfect and they look cute was well. I only wear in dry or wet weather, as I find them too slippery in snow, slushy or icy conditions. Bought my first pair several years ago but recently discovered that the waterproofing is finally wearing out. Now I am buying two pairs because I am afraid that New Balance will discontinue them which would be a shame.

This is my second pair these of boots. They are waterproof and comfy for winter walks. After 3 winters of daily wear, my first pair is now very well-worn. However, I still use them for walking the dog on snowy/muddy trails. I plan to use my new boots for running errands in town until the old pair must finally be retired.

I had to order a size up and extra wide but I really like them. Usually I experience pressure on my big toe but there's enough room in the toe box without being clunky. I had plenty of room for my orthotics, even with heavy socks. They're relatively light and a little stiff. And not heavily cushioned. If you like that squashy feeling, keep looking. They remind me (happily) of my old Vasques. I especially like the simplicity of the look, a warm brownish gray with just a pretty dash of turquoise. I don't like boots that look like comic book covers but I do want them to look like a woman wears them. I tried some Keens which were cute, but the toe box never works for me :(

Right out of the box these boots felt really nice. I am a 12W, and I have orthodic inserts that i usually try very hard to use in every shoe i can, and they fit! The boots are stiff, but that's a good thing for me. They have what is known as Roll-Bar-Technology, and if I am correct, it helps feet that are lazy shape up. I am always rolling my ankle because my muscles are too flexible, and this boot is supposed to help with that, and it needs to be stiff. There is definitely a break-in period, I'd suggest a couple hours of wearing initially, then ease into all day of wearing. The seem to have good tread, great support. I would highly recommend these boots. Oh, and they look great!

I love these. I wore them every day on my vacation in Ireland. Uphills, downhills, on the strand, everywhere. They are very comfortable and waterproof.

I completely loved these boots. I'm a very casual walker/hiker, but ordered these for a vacation trip that I knew would include a lot of trail walking. Excellent support of arches & ankles in these boots. Walked through a considerable number of muddy and wet areas - including a very cold beach - and my feet stayed totally dry and warm. I usually wear a 7.5W in New Balance running shoes, and I had originally ordered a 7.5W but exchanged to an 8W for a little extra toe room. These boots were a very good value and I totally recommend them.

I love these boots. I've been wearing them for over a year and find them incredibly comfortable for long walks and easy hikes. I have arthritis in one foot that I hardly even notice with these boots on. I plan to order another pair soon!

The shoe store said this boot runs small, so I tried a half size up and the arch support wasn't even close. In my regular size, the length of this boot is fine, though it is more narrow than my sneakers and I found uncomfortable pressure points when wearing them for longer times. Ordering online I sized up from a D width to 2E and the fit is awesome! These are the best boots I have had in a long time - they make moving effortless. I have very happy feet!

This felt a full size larger and I am a women's size 12! Very comfortable boot. I liked the maroon accent as well. This looks great.

These boots are wonderful. True to size. I have plenty of room for my orthotics. Comfy. Warm. No breaking in. Lovelovelove.

I love New Balance and loved this boot but am returning it, not because of the boot, but because of a problem my larger, left foot has developed. It recently has started hurting in the arch when I try on most shoes, which makes it VERY difficult to pick a comfortable shoe! Very sad!
