Fit in length and where the arch hits is as expected. The toe box is roomier than in most trainers I've had lately, which is a good thing, there is no rubbing or pressure on the front of my foot. Seems to allow plenty of room for thicker socks, come fall. Arch support is adequate. Love the real laces, they are extra long and so can be double tied easily, and being real laces, it's possible to adjust the fit of the body of the shoe (which can't be done with those new elastic laces that come on so many trainers these days). The grey color has a slight purplish tinge to it, which I like. I'm tired of all those black shoes all the time. And not so bright a color that I'm tripping over myself because I'm distracted by the color (I can do that, try me). All in all, a good choice for me.

Fit is good and is a very comfortable shoe. I went to this shoe when New Balance changed the 608 style and it was no longer comfortable. The soles don't seem to last very long. I only get about 6 months out of a pair walking in them for about 1 hour a day.

This New Balance walking shoe is the most comfortable shoe I have worn. I do not like the bulkiness of it, but that is how walking shoes are made - at least the ones that give the most comfort. It has enough padding in the sole that I think I will be able to walk all day and not get tired or sore feet. I have to order all my shoes on-line to get the width - wide. Stores do not typically carry wide width shoes. Thank you Zappos for your wonderful return policy. I can order multiple shoes and return those that do not fit as I want them to.

Really cute shoe in white with pink trim! It does absolutely run a half size too small. I can usually wear a 5 in any brand shoe, but my toes hit the end.

The shoes would be fantastic but they keep sucking in my socks, even returned the 7.5 and got 7, still sucking socks!

I wanted these to work for me, as they have for other people, but they did not. I am giving a good review as the problem is with my needy feet, not with the shoe. A few years ago, they would have been perfect.Plus it is great that they come in narrow!!

Great shoe, good support, good sole and insole but not for me - with a broken toe which also has a large arthritic bump on the top, the stitching on the top of this shoe hurts too much. Tried a thinner sock and just not enough depth in the toe area. Otherwise would be a good shoe.

This shoe was too wide in the toe box for me even thought I ordered the narrow width.

Roomy toebox is the best thing about this shoe. Average support, average quality. Just a tad more stylish than the NB577 I usually purchase. Not as comfortable as the NB577 for extended daily wear. Difficult to find it all in a shoe for bunions and hammertoes.

I ordered this shoe because I have a narrow heel and it was built on the SL2 last for people with narrow heels. Unfortunately for me, the laces did not go high enough up on the shoe to hold the shoe on my heel tight enough.

The 8 W that I normally wear in New Balance were too narrow in this style.

I have hard to fit feet and found the shoes I ordered from Zappos almost perfect. I'm going to order another pair in another color after payday. Thanks for your help. Dave Ennes

It's a comfortable fit but so wide I had to check to see if I ordered a B. And if you're looking for support, this isn't your shoe.

I love this shoe but it ran a little small for me. I'm so disappointed. It's hard to find a "cute" sneaker. I would go up half a size but the grey is all out.

Doesn't fit like a NB shoe built on a SL2 Last. Item description reads •Built on a SL-2 last that offers a narrow heel width, high instep, deep toe box, and wide forefoot width The 411 does not show on the shoe or the box that it is built on an SL2 Last. I usually buy NB 577 to get the true roomy toe box. I will not be able to wear the 411 on a bad foot day because it does not offer the same comfort of a true SL2. Toe box is less roomy/narrow, fore foot is not as wide and instep not as high. The 411 is a little more stylish than the 577 but for me will not be an everyday shoe because of the fit. I require a true SL2 built shoe and don't find the 411 to be one.

These fit great out of the box! I have sensitive toenails and vary between a B and W width (depending on manufacturer) and hoped my toes didn't bang on the end or get squished width-wise. I am usually a 10.5 in regular shoes, but usually order up a 1/2 size in athletic shoes. This time I just ordered the 10.5 W and it was PERFECT! My only gripe is superficial. I wish more colors/designs were available. I am ordering another pair!

Excellent shoes for walking. Took at little time to break in, but they do not rub anywhere.

I have arthritis in my big toe joints so I look for cushioning, but recently I hurt my knee so now I need support too. These have some of each, and don't look bulky the way some NB styles do. I also tried 2 training styles, which were a little heavier and stiffer, and the 577, which I thought ran small. The 411 is comfortable and extremely light. .

Nice fitting narrow shoe, but not enough arch support for my high arches.

I needed a pair of real walking shoes--not running or cross trainers used in lieu of walking shoes--and came across these shoes. I love my NB minimus, which were my first NB shoes, so I thought walking shoes would be great. Plus, they comes in D width, which I needed. Overall, I think the WW411v2 is a good shoe (good arch support, comfy, looks decent, etc), but it's definitely not a true D width, or size 10... I would say the D width felt standard, and the shoe felt about 1/2 size too small. I'm a true 10, but the 10 in these shoes just felt a little short. My other complaint is the heel aspect is a little too wide for me. I tend to have a wider forefoot and narrower heel so shoes that are too wide in the heel will slide and cause blisters. The shoes are very comfortable, but just not the right fit for my foot.

I bought this shoe for walking and I wanted something that wasn't mesh. So far they're comfortable. The only con for me is the heel seems wide and my foot sips. I added some heel cushions to fix the problem. The toebox is plenty big and gives me room to spread the toes. I think a 1/2 size smaller would have been too short. It would be nice if they were made more fashionable instead of the orthopedic look.

Comfy shoes

I'm diabetic & have issues w/my right foot. Bump on the bottom. So I need deeper shoes, w/ deep & wide toe box. The problem is, most sneakers/ shoes that will accommodate my foot issue are about as dorked out & ugly as they come. And insanely expensive. These are comfy, look normal, but it feels like my foot is sliding off to the side. Both feet. Maybe cuz it's super squishy or cushy? It said it had removeable insoles so I could insert my orthotic, but thats not the the case. I looked several times. There is nothing that can be removed to accommodate an orthotic. Very strange.
