I purchased these for my mother who has wide feet and bunions. She finds most sneakers too painful to wear but found these to be very comfortable. She was able to put them right on and go for a long walk. I tried them on myself and they are light as a feather, I am tempted to buy a matching pair! I cannot recommend them enough.

The best thing about these shoes is the big toe box. I have wide feet and do not like pointy shoes that cram my toenails into each other. The color is almost a lilac rather than a gray - which I like too.

I use these shoes for travel. They don't look as gauche as wearing running shoes but they are just as comfortable. I can walk miles in these and the leather is really nice for rainy days. They are great shoes!

I have a very hard time finding shoes of any sort to fit, casual for work, sneakers, boots, etc. My brother suggested I try NB. Buying online is also difficult because of having to return them. I found a pair I liked (I like the purple-ish gray of these) and gave it a shot. Right out of the box they slipped on as if they were made for my foot. They are cushy, have a good arch support and are wide enough (size 10D). These are the best fitting shoes I think I've ever purchased. They feel soft/almost gel-like when walking. Now, if I could find a fit like this on business casual shoes I'd be in heaven!

One of the reasons I purchased these shoes was because of the roomy toe box. Good choice. I like the color which is lavender and not gray. I may consider buying another pair in another color because they are very comfortable.

Great shoe! I'm a nurse, and find these shoes to be very comfortable. I have a narrow foot, so I was happy to find a great shoe in a narrow width.

Out of 4 pairs of shoes I tried for plantar fasciitis, these felt the best! I slipped them on with no socks, so comfortable. Everyone is different, but these felt great to me!

Excellent shoe for problem feet! I ordered these instead of my usual Saucony Walkers because I was looking for something less industrial-looking and a bit more flexible. These fit my feet perfectly and felt great right out of the box! I have wide, flat feet and need lots of support; these shoes accomplish that for less $ AND come with stylish laces!

I was looking for a nice black walking shoe as I am going to Europe in the spring. I am on the boarder between medium and wide, have very flat feet, and wear orthotics, I bought the wide. This is an extremely comfortable shoe.

I am thrilled to have these leather walking shoes. They fit well, and I have difficulty finding shoes that fit because I have narrow heels. They are so comfortable that I can wear them all day.

I just got back from Disneyworld and walked almost 17 miles in these shoes for two days. They were so comfortable, well fitting and gave my feet the support they needed. I would highly recommend these sneakers.

Let me start by saying I wear NARROW shoes. AND THERE ARE SOME ISSUES WITH 75-YEAR-OLD TOES. These babies solved all problems. The high toe box gives the toes room to move around, and will accommodate my orthotics as well as winter's heavier socks -- not always the case with casual shoes. They give a bit of softness to the step but are not in any way squishy. Thanks to Zappo's return policy, I was able to try several shoes before finding these, and the moment I put them on I knew I'd found my shoes. Thank you, Zappo's for great customer service people, corny but cute jokes, and most of all for these awesome shoes that don't break the bank!

I love these! Very very comfortable. I need a wide size and they look slim instead of the usual sneakers that make my foot look like a boat.

Great. light, not bulky. My foot doesn't look wide like it does in some of the Wide NB. these are slim looking.I can't speak about arch support since I use custom orthotics.

I have walking disabilities and wear orthotics so it is difficult to find the right size and fit. I am so pleased with the New Balance shoes I just bought. I have purchased shoes before with Zappos and they always have what I need. I especially love the free shipping! Thank you Zappos.

I am delighted. Narrow shoes are almost impossible to find. My whole experience was as delightful as the shoes I ordered.

I have purchased these exact shoes before and felt confident that they would fit. They do. I like the high toe box and more rounded toe, as I do not have pointed feet. I take out the insole and insert my own orthotic, one of the main reasons that I bought these. I use them for my daily one hour walk. They fit great on my narrow feet.

It has been a struggle to find reasonably priced shoes to help with plantar fasciitis. I may never walk in any other shoe!! I love these new balance. Perfect style and enough arch support that my heel didn't hurt when I took them off today for thee first time in 4 years. Color me happy!

I never write reviews, but here goes: these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have a narrow heel and a nasty bunion on my right outside toe, a devilish combination, but the toe box on these shoes accommodated that. Style is nothing to write home about. In the event New Balance is phasing them out, I'm tempted to buy another pair as backup.

These are some of the most comfortable shoes that I have been able to find in a very long time! The arch support is perfect -- just enough, but not too much. It does not make the arch sore by being too high and putting too much pressure there. The footbed cushioning is perfect. It is soft, but not too "cushy." Shoes with a "too deep and soft" footbed make me feel like I am walking on a cloud and can't really feel the ground beneath my feet where I am walking. And the footbed does not have those strange extra areas of "support" like some other brands have started using -- which interfere with the natural functioning of my feet. The heel is just a little higher than the front of the shoe, and this gives a very good balance in the body when walking or running. Love these shoes! Will buy other colors --

This is my 4th pair of these shoes. I have a bunion and it is the only ones I can wear that don't hurt. I got the black leather for winter and the soles are way to stiff. I thought they would loosen up but they didn't. They hurt my bunion. I was disappointed as the fit was fine. The tops were ok just the soles too hard.

Fits well. I usually buy New Balance because they are one of the few who make a narrow shoe. It feels comfortable, although I add an orthotic arch support as NB does not have good arch support. I love the color.
