Other shoes I have tried in wide were not wide enough for me. These are perfect. This is my second pair of the same shoe.

After reading the reviews and knowing my feet, I ordered a half size larger. (10.5 wide) I'm glad I did because the sneakers were a perfect fit and just what I needed. I like the larger toe box. I wear an Arizona boot/brace and have to remove the insole from one shoe. This is one of the few sneakers where the brace doesn't show through the sides of the tongue because the shoes are wide enough. I also have a hammer toe and very sensitive toes in general due to trauma. These will be my "winter" shoes. I save my mesh sneakers for warmer weather. While a great shoe, they are not the most beautiful in the world. I ordered black because they will substitute for dress shoes. I recommend these for anyone who needs or prefers a large toe box and needs flexibility with the insole.

I ordered a different New Balance shoe. Same size, 11AA, but it was too short. These fit perfectly. These also have a slightly smaller profile and when you have an 11 sized foot, smaller is better!

Fourth time I’ve purchased these shoes—three times in white, once in pink & white. Wonderful to find a shoe that comes in a narrow width and is so comfortable that almost no time needed to break in. Only complaint is that the pink & white version with a mesh top allows water to get in when raining.

Best work shoe ever!

These sneakers are very comfortable to me. They fit well with orthotics.

After trying numerous athletic shoes I finally found a shoe that has enough room in the toe box. As the other reviewers said the heel area is roomy but I still find this to be a comfortable shoe. I really like the color, I chose the grey, to me it looks lavender. I have not wore these shoes out yet but I’m inclined to think I will keep them as it is near impossible to find a wide shoe with a roomy toe box anymore.

I wore these shoes today and they are very comfortable, as New Balance shoes always are. My husband and I wear them almost exclusively.

I was so happy to find NB tennis shoes that had a deep toe box!! My podiatrist told me I’d need to wear a diabetic shoe and my response was not good. I had to give up Ugg’s but now I envisioned orthopedlooking shoes. These are great!! No one will even know I had to switch from my regular NB and my foot is much happier. I was getting pressure sores on top of my toes. Hopefully those are a thing of the past.

First, I have to give praise to Zappos. I've have synovitis (metatarsal pain) and even though shoes would be great for everybody else, the pain is greater with certain shoes...Zappos has accepted the returns that did not work out. (Of course I wore them in my home only for one day...returned good as new) So, thank you Zappos. If shoes cost more elsewhere, I will not purchase. I KNOW Zappos. The New Balance is perfect, but my heel slips and I am hoping I won't have to send them back. They are well cushioned, wide toe box, but not too wide. I am an 8.5 M and they are true to size. I think you would be very pleased with this shoe.

Finally, a pair of walking shoes that work for my feet. The toe box is big enough to accommodate my needs while the heel is narrow enough to eliminate slipping. They are comfortable, which is the most important thing for shoes I want to wear to the gym. High marks for the "Grey" color too, which is really more like periwinkle blue to me. So happy to find these after buying and returning countless pairs of shoes.

These shoes are so comfortable, right from the start. Color seems a little more blue than gray but they look terrific with my jeans.

Fantastic heel and foot cushioning. Zero fatigue worn new, walked 5 miles on very busy tradeshow. Laces are skimpy but strong, unwieldy to tie.

Finally, a pair of walking shoes that are long enough with a heel narrow enough to fit my foot. I routinely buy 41 or 42 shoes in Euro sizing. These are a 10 1/2 US or 42.5 Euro and they are perfect. My toe has enough room to wiggle without feeling constricted and the heel doesn't slide up and down. Added bonus, the top of the shoe around the ankle is high enough for support but not so high it rubs on my ankle. Not sure how many times I've bought walking/exercise shoes only to have to return them. Even kept a pair of 11 US once and hated them the entire time as they were just a touch too long and the heel slipped. I had almost given up, but thought I would try these, especially since Zappos carries the elusive size I wear. Extra added bonus, Zappos shipped them lightening fast. They arrived less than 24 hours after I ordered them. Thanks, Zappos, for making it easy to buy shoes when you wear an awkward size.

Interestingly, I was looking for a white sneaker to wear as a volunteer at the hospital. This sneaker is so comfortable, I’ve decided to buy another pair for just walking. I have a very narrow foot and a very narrow heel.

a-MA-zing shoe. the gray (really lilac, not gray) doesn't look nearly as much like an old lady shoe as the other colors. my left foot has been the bane of my existence for the last decade with having had plantar fasciitis, a bad ankle sprain, a broken ankle, a partial ligament tear, and a morton's neuroma. almost everything i wear is painful within an hour, usually less. these shoes are so great - they are supportive while also super cushiony. they're great walking to and from the bus, standing on a crowded bus, walking the dog, and getting errands done. i hope one day they will come in a black version of the gray - mesh with white, not the all black leather one.

These have been my go-to shoes for years because they have some arch support where so many others don't. I also wiggle my toes a lot (always have, I'm in my 60's, who knows?), and now that I see everyone mentioning the generous toe box, I realize why these work so well for me! I would have liked to find them on sale at a store, or even at a department store online, but Zappos seemed to be the ONLY place that had 7 mediums in stock. I like the fast, free shipping. Great way to buy shoes!

I bought these because my other NB tennis shoes were too narrow in the toe box for daily walking. As soon as I put these on I could tell they were wider. They are very comfortable and don’t squish my toes together. I wear a 10N and NB have been my ‘go to’ shoes for athletic shoes. I have walked in these for the last 5 days, 2 miles a day and have had no issues with squished or rubbing toes. The gray is really more of a blue than a true gray.

New Balance is the shoe for me and this style best accommodates the large orthotic in my right foot. The large toe box works well as my right toes push out and can cause pressure. The left foot is happy to have extra room. I try to find this style in other colors. they are my party shoe.

I love these NB Walkers! Such comfort...great purchase. I do feel that there is moderate arch support however, because I have issues with plantar fasciitis I do use a different insert. But again, the shoes as they are are wonderful!

This shoe fits me perfectly. I hope New Balance doesn't do away with the style, this is the 4th pair I've purchased.

My wife wanted a pair of these because she already had a pair and wanted another pair. She wore these to Disneyworld a couple of years ago and her feet never hurt even after walking for hours in the park. She now wears these when she walks at the mall. She thinks these are the most cushy and comfortable shoes she has ever owned. And they clean up well.

I've purchased these before and really like the style and fit though I did return the first pair due to an odd way one side was sewn.

This is my fourth pair. Why? Because I wear them every day and love the comfort and fit. Don't want to lose out, so I always have a pair on hand in case my other pair gets dirty from walking every day. Oh and they should be called periwinkle not grey. Beautiful lavender shade.

These shoes are lighter than I thought. Despite that, the support of the foot is surprisingly very good. They're stylish and easy to lace up. The more I wear them, the better they fit!
