I fully love this bag, I got my first one 20 years ago, and the straps finally gave out on it. This has been a FANTASTIC upgrade and I'll probably only be alive long enough to buy ONE more when this one gives out because, 20 years per bag and after this one give it up, I'll may not even be able to carry a bag anymore anyway. I have tried other bags, but always come back to my Timbuk2 and I will never buy a bag from anyone else ever again.

Love the ability to customize the bag beyond just the colors. Didn't necessarily need a padded slot for the laptop, so having the ability to just choose a divider was great. Also having more than one size to choose from was great. So far the bag has been great, holds my laptop (in a padded sleeve), iPad, ergo mouse, and several notebooks in addition to a small water bottle in the interior pouch. Hoping for many more years of use.

I have a Timbuk 2 messenger bag that I've been using to commute to work for the last 15 years and it's still going strong, so when I needed a durable bag for my laptop, getting another Timbuk 2 bag was a no-brainer. These are study bags that can take a beating while looking stylish. Lots of great pockets for organization too!

This is my third messenger bag, although I bought one used. This is my first custom bag and I could not be more pleased! I paid for expedited shipping, but it was finished and shipped in less than a week. High quality as always and so durable! I love it.

Great for grocery shopping when riding my bike. Excellent strap system keeps it in place on my back. Small size doesn't carry much, but medium would be bulky. Color choices are also excellent, I got all yellow to maximize visibility.

I love my messenger, use it for work to carry laptop, tablet, drinks, cables etc. and it holds it all & is comfortable to use. This is my 3rd messenger and it's near perfect. I miss being able to select the colour of the old timbuk 2 but that's a tiny niggle.

great space and durability for laptop bag

This is my second custom Timbuk2 messenger bag and was a gift to my SIL. I've been carrying my first custom bag non stop for probably 10 years and thought about replacing it but it doesn't need replacing. It's perfect. It still looks great after long term constant use. I use it everyday even when I travel. Frankly, I'd be lost without it. It holds 2 glasses cases, a large wallet, an iPad, 3 checkbooks, keys, tissues, chapstick - I could go on but you get the idea. I hope my SIL gets as much happiness owning her Timbuk2 messenger bag as I have owning mine.

I bought this bag (custom color) for my husband to use for his healthcare MBA class. For a middle age adult man, it looks professional in the gray colors I chose. It easily holds all of his books and laptop and he says it is very comfortable to carry.

I love timbuk2 bags. Durable, practical, look good. However, there are a bunch of differences between my new bag and my last bag (also a custom)...including some things that I wish they'd keep. Ah well, change is inevitable and they do make a great bag!

My custom medium Classic Messenger is a good-looking, comfortable, and versitile daily companion. I got it in black to be fit almost any situation and in the rip stop material. I was surprised at how soft and "cottony" the material feels, a pleasure to touch. The black fits almost any situation. The organization helps keep everything easy to find and use. Finally, with the stabilizer strap, I can secure the bag for a bike ride or any other activity that requires minimal shifting of the bag. It is no wonder the Classic remains a "classic."

I take a Timbuk2 Messenger Bag EVERYWHERE! Regardless of the task(s) at hand: in town errands, out of town travel, visiting, hiking, camping, etc. I like them so much, I have the Classic Messenger Bag in medium, small and extra small. Going out of house, grab a Timbuk2 bag! I just grab the right size bag, for the task at hand, load it and go. I live in the Arizona Desert, close to the San Fransisco Mountains. Weather changes very fast. In the summer, I carry the XS with a water bottle, smart phone, wallet, dry shirt and other essentials. As the season changes, I will carry a medium or small to carry warm layers. That way, I am never thirsty or hungry; do not have bulky items in my pockets or warm layers left behind. Keeps stuff organized and easy to find. I keep it loaded so all I have to do is fill the water bottle. No more rushing out and forgetting something important.

I bought this bag to replace my original medium classic messenger bag. This version in large with the custom colors has been everything I'd hoped for. It has enough room for 3 music binders, my ipad, electronic gear flute, several water bottles, umbrella, pencils, phone and all my pocket gear for teaching/rehearsals and performances. I love the change in the configuration of the Velcro on the front. My medium bag got stuck to everything. I've only been disappointed with a few things so far. The flat Napoleon pocket on the front. I thought it was two pockets instead of one pass through pocket. The second is the strap on the laptop holder, I wish the velcro was longer to give the fit more adjust-ability. I often use it for papers and it's a challenge to get it to stay closed. The last is the shoulder strap system. I wish there was a set of instructions included. I have been having problems keeping the length where I want it since the my original bag.

The customizability is lovely, and the bag is well made and roomy. The colors are beautiful and rich. Lots of great pockets to store things in.

I used my first Timbuk2 messenger bag for work every single day during 14 years, including in Africa where I temporarilly worked as an epidemiologist. Its resistance was incredible. I eventually changed it for a new one that seems even greater. I choosed a custom one. The strap fits perfectly.and the grab handle is a plus that was absent on my first bag. Definitely a great messenger bag as most other bags cannot last so long.

I love this bag, it's my everyday bag! I enjoy how versatile the pockets are. The customization is great because I got to choose colors that would suit my style. It's the perfect size too. I would buy this bag again and recommend it to friends.

I like how you can customize the bags to your needs. The size I chose is perfect for hauling my work "junk" around and still have space left over for my lunch and other things. Aside from that, the workmanship is excellent.

Love my messenger back which I custom colored. It's so well-made and has plenty of space for all of my belongings. I really appreciate the way my 16 inch laptop, fit securely and comfortably in the pocket. It all came in a lovely package too!

This bag is the perfect size, it fits my laptop and everything else that I need to take to work. I only wish that it came standard with more pockets/compartments instead of it being an extra cost. Anyway, it appears to be extra-tough, waterproof and easy to clean. I see it lasting a long time to come.
