I've had my Timbuk2 bag for 20 years and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, oh yeah, theres the odd strap and/or reflector issues, but overall, for 20 years! This thing has been soaked by rain, snow, beer, soda, and more, I'm sure. Its been washed in commercial washing machines and never lost its ability to repel water. This bag is a life investment, not a fashion accessory or statement. Its the real deal. Of course, I love to look at the new models with all the new stuff that mine doesn't have, but I don't need a bag, because I bought the right one, 20 years ago and its still with me. Enjoy.

I love the fact that I could customize my messenger bag...it's important to me to have as many options as possible. My bag looks and feels professionally made.

This bag is THE BEST!! I bought my first bag in 1994 and it is still going strong! It doesn't have a single hole in the fabric, is till waterproof, buckles still click, straps are in the same shape as the day I bought them. I've used it for college, then as a diaper bag for my 6 kids. I take it to church, on bike rides, and hikes. I am a seamstress and I notice quality fabrics when I see them. This is well built and the fabrics are some of the sturdiest I've ever seen. I noticed the adjustable strap connectors are made of metal now instead of plastic. A step up from my 1994 bag. I recently purchased this bag for my daughter. She loved customizing her bag to her own personality and needs. She will use her bag every day out walking the streets of Estonia for 18 months. Then to college in the USA, and then as a diaper bag when she becomes a mom. Then as an everyday mom throughout her life. This bag is a purchase that lasts a lifetime. Worth every penny!

The small messenger is perfect size to fit my after work running gear (shorts and a top) and my lunch. Nice bonus to choose colors to match the interior of my car. Awesome purchase.

I've been using a Timbuk2 messenger bag for more than a decade. I had a small bag that I've used for carrying items to work as well as using it as a gym bag, but I purchased this new one in a medium so I could fit my gym shoes and lunch in the bag.

great quality of product. lots of internal little pockets. can be adjustable to suit needs. It is great for a busy educator - fits everything I lug around campus! my one regret - i didn't add the laptop pocket when i customized. If you are considering customizing, i think that would be an advantage if you frequently transport a laptop

You always feel a bit anxious ordering stuff from the other side of the world. We live in Aotearoa New Zealand. But the XS Custom Classic Messenger Bag arrived safe and sound several weeks later. My wife is a very keen cyclist and I wanted to buy her a special present. The Timbuk2 messenger bag is perfect. It was really nice to be able to have a wide range of colours to choose from. The centre panel is reflective. People are already commenting about her fancy messenger bag. It is well made and it looks very durable. My only grizzle is the cost of freighting it all the way to NZ.

I've owned a small Timbuk 2 messenger bag for years...probably close to 20 at this point. It's been my favorite bag for daily-use and my air travel in 2024 but I needed a smaller version for daily-use and got a customized XS messenger bag and love it! I've loaded it up with the reduced load-out of stuff I need with me and still had lots of room to add a third-party insert to give me more pockets to organize with This will be my daily-use and travel ("personal item") hand bag going forward! My small bag is now my carry-on item for the overhead bins when I fly.

I love this bag! There is plenty of room for my laptop, notebooks, water, and snacks without everything being squished together. There is a place for everything. Additionally, customer service was great!

My daughter-in-law suggested a messenger bag from you for my son's birthday present. He had one years ago, and basically wore it out. They moved to Spain for two years, and he left it behind. He needed one now, she said. He works from home, and when he needs a change of scenery walks to a coffee shop. He knew what was in the package and opened it a day early so he could use it before his birthday! He was so excited.

I use the small messenger bag daily for work. It carries everything well and has enough room for paperwork, lunch, and on snowy days my shoes. :-) I especially like the key lanyard for my work ID and office keys. The length makes it easy to use them without detaching and store them in the pocket when not needed. I also like I was able to pick colors that I like. I just found out about the Velcro covers which I am going to purchase. I only need the Velcro on 1 side.

Classic bag - tried and true. Love the new buckle. Reflective fabric is amazing for night visibility.

Great bag to hold everything

This is an awesome bag! I bought the first version of the commuter bag years ago, and I absolutely love it. Having the opportunity to design my own version in a smaller size that fits another need was great. Thank you, Timbuk2! I'll be ordering from you again!!!
