I designed my own bag, which is an amazing option! It made it more unique and is exactly what I wanted. I was so excited when I saw this option because while I really wanted one of these bags, I couldn't find one that suited me. There are a lot of pockets and places for all my things. I use this as a work bag, taking along all my essentials for the day as I park pretty far from work. Even once I get inside, I end up wearing it a long time before getting to my office and it's comfortable as can be. The only negatives aren't a big deal: I think the strap could be slightly longer than it is. And, the water bottle holders I paid extra for are funny. They are super small, and may possibly fit a tiny disposable water bottle. Nothing realistic. I just put other stuff in the holders and toss my large water beside them.

I was playing around on the custom site, tried the French flag, tweaked the red to raspberry, liked it & ordered it. I like the little changes for this year, like the slight narrowing at the very top. I use this as an everyday purse most of the time and it's fantastic on trips.

This bag takes a beating and keeps on ticking. Took on the road into minus 12 degrees heavy snow in Japan and it kept everything inside dry and safe. For easy reach around grab and go convenience on trains planes and automobiles nothing Beats the classic messenger.

I like the bag, it is the successor af e previous TIMBUK2-Bag with a similar Design. I am very happy to stay with the same tool in a similar desiagn. - A five year story of success will continue!

having to carry 24 hr supplies for hospital shifts, commute on trains or by foot, the bag gives me the ultimate solution. endless capacity, excellent load handling, rain resistant. however, I would have liked more inner pockets and easy access compartments on the outside.

Overall the bag is perfect! Ordered a water bottle pocket and it is not big enough for a water bottle!

I bought this messenger bag to allow me to pack all of my technology needs, along with all of my books, to and from the classroom. I am a professor of management and I need to carry with me the following: 15" Macbook Pro, iPad Air 2, chargers, and connection cables. I also need to be able to carry at least two large textbooks each day, depending on what I'm teaching that day. Finally, I always like to have with me a 32 oz Nalgene water bottle, numerous Clif bars and other small snacks, and a smattering of OTC medicines (ibuprofen, antacid) and my Leatherman tool. This bag keeps all of these items organized and still has room to spare! It is comfortable to carry and looks great. In addition, it is waterproof, which is good for the Oregon rain showers I have to brave on a daily basis. I couldn't be happier with this amazing bag and would recommend Timbukt2 to anyone looking for the highest quality messenger bag.

This is a great bag for all my students' homework papers and still have enough room for my attendance book and lesson plans. I am 5'2" and it is perfect for my size, any bigger would be too bulky. Because the bigger my bag the more I try to put in it!

I have carried a Timbuk2 bag for 25 years -- large messenger in my biking days, laptop bag in my working days, tote in my mom days and now this small messenger. Perfect for every day use yet still all the same great features -- durable, waterproof, stylish. Thank you!

I use this bag almost daily since I got it a few weeks ago and it is AMAZING! Yes, I could get a larger bag somewhere else, but I think this size is perfect- I wouldn't want to go any larger, and it fits a lot of stuff. After commuting often with a bookbag when I had errands before or after work (gym, grocery shopping, etc.) this has been a much more stylish & comfortable option. I also feeling safer knowing that I have the reflective details on my bag to supplement my bike lights. One tip: I highly recommend paying a little extra for the strap pad. You won't regret it!

I'm 5-foot-2 and got the size small - perfect size to hold everything I need for work without ever feeling bulky. The shoulder strap is a must. Lots of pockets, super great quality.

I was on the border of buying the bag in the beginning as I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the money as I already had a bag to commute back and forth from work in. But I decided to get it as my old bag was starting to wear and just wasn't big enough anymore. I now have plenty of space to carry everything I need and throw it over my body so that I have 2 hands free and not have to worry about my bag.

I have carried a Timbukt2 messenger bag very day for the last 10+ years. I have several and love to custom design them. I am a dance studio owner and dance teacher. The bag serves as my purse, dance gear bag, office and bank bag as I depend on the outside zipper compartment to securely carry payments. I have tried other bags, and just always go back to my beloved Timbuk2. My most recent bag (cool stingray pleather) has a strap that is not the same heavy quality as my others. I prefer the much heavier strap. My only complaint! Thank you so much Timbukt2 for a great, stylish, high performance bag I could not live with out! XOXO

I use my extra small custom messenger bag for everyday things. I find the extra small to be the perfect size for me because I don't carry a laptop or tablet. I am pretty old fashioned; I carry a book, a notebook (the paper kind), pencils and pens, a thermos, sometimes a water bottle, knitting, phone, wallet, lipstick, Kleenex, hand cream, comb, etc. It all fits with room to spare for things I add during the day. I love the zipper compartments, the pockets for water bottle and thermos, and the slip pocket for electronic devices (which I use for notebook [the paper kind] or other papers that I like to keep flat). The only thing I don't like about the bag is the massive Velcro which catches my knitted garments and my knitting and makes a lot of noise when I open the bag. I am not sure how you could get around the Velcro; I know it helps hold the bag closed, especially if I don't have time to clip the clips shut. This is a minor complaint, but the Velcro is a drawback for me. Otherwise, this is the perfect bag (and I have tried A LOT of bags)in size, shape, amount of stuff it can hold, compartments, and LOOKS since I designed it myself. I love the custom option.

I built this small messenger bag to replace my original one, which I purchased almost 15 years ago. It's still going strong, but I wanted to take advantage of a sale you had going on. I have never been dissapointed with your products. I am so impressed with all of the improvements you have made. This bag is perfect for every-day use and will serve me well as a diaper bag when our fourth child is born next spring. I love the slash pocket and the internal water bottle pockets. They are great for seperating my things from kid stuff and keeping small things from getting lost in the bottom of the bag. Again, thank you for your quality products. I am a long-time customer and very happy to stay that way.

This custom bag is my second Timbuk2, but my first custom bag. I spent hours putting it (and about 1000 other options) together in the customizer before choosing this one. The waxed canvas has a great color to it. I got the large, knowing I planned to use the bag for day/weekend trips. So far, it's performed wonderfully. It holds so much but doesn't feel bulky. I wish I could find a reason to buy more bags, customizing is so much fun and easy.

I purchased the Custom Classic Messenger Small based on the measurements from the site to carry my future purchase of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 after it was announced. The Surface Pro 4 with a sleeve fits perfectly along with all the items I need including the chargers for the Surface, mobile phone, watch; eyeglasses, umbrella, important files, towels, etc. Everything is organized with all the pockets and easy to find. The build is exceptional and the flat bottom makes it easy to stand up. Outstanding bag for my needs.

The messenger bag was gave to the person as a birthday gift, she like the panel of colors that I pick out for her messenger bag. Now she is using it as daily messenger bag and love it, she stated to me that she need a bigger purse to fit all her things in it.

Love the bag and the design, it's a perfect "in cabin" airplane bag. There are only two suggestions to make it perfect: have some kind of optional fold out velcro "silencers", so that you don't make intense noise while in a red eye flight and wake up everybody around, or while in a sound mixing studio, as you open the bag (the velcro unlocking is really noisy). Some camera bags have this to make sure photographers don't disturb weddings and other stuff while they reach for their gear. 2. Perhaps make the laptop pouch a zipping pouch rather than a small strap that goes over the laptop and velcroes. Great idea about the high tech shock absorbing lining! Overall a very amazing bag. I got hooked on the customizing features

Fantastic product for commuting on a bike or motorcycle. Durable, keeps the wet off, doesn't slip or slide around while riding. Strap is easy to adjust and the included cross-strap anchors it solidly. I got the small version, and it's too small for most computers, but works for ultrabooks. I mostly use it for documents, books, and bike lock and it works perfectly for those. I'd say I'll buy from them again, but the bag is sturdy enough that I doubt I'll buy another bag for a long, long time.

Bought my custom bag over a year ago. Still looks great. I got the medium messenger bag and it was perfect. I am am a 5'4" female and this bag was perfectly sized. It holds my computer, i-pad, school books, notebooks and other necessary items for college. Would definitely recommend to my friends.
