Bought this bag because Chrome does not have the larger messengers anymore. Pretty solid overall in terms of long term usage especially when commuting around all day. The only thing I will mention is that the colors I choose were not as bright as the preview made them seem especially the orange, Scorched, was much brighter in the image but was more of a burnt color in actually (given the name makes sense but the photo was misleading) so I was disappointed in that respect.

I made my own extra small bag that is weather proof and has a reflective panel so the cars can see me at night. The bag is just big enough to hold everything I need day-to-day walking around the city - I live in New York. The extra small holds my water bottle and all my necessities, but I don't use it for a laptop. If you want that you'll have to go to small or bigger. I think the extra small is perfect for taking everywhere and not worrying about having what I need (shopping bag, umbrella, sunglasses, wet wipes, etc.)

My everyday bag. Light, spacious and comfortable. The smaller size suits my needs and my body. This is at least the third time I have purchased the extra small messenger. In the past it has come with a shoulder strap pad at no extra cost. The custom pad is way too big and unusable with this size bag.

Bag is very sturdy and well made. Only thing that I don't like about it is constantly having to unclip the bag to open it.

Really like the custom color option. Maybe it could be 1/2 inch taller, but the dimensions were completely explained before purchase, so I knew what I was getting. This is my 3rd Timbuk2 bag, and they have all been excellent.

Hi I am 71 years old and walk everywhere. I need a new bag bigger than a backpack. . I use it to carry groceries, shop at the hardware store, carry collapsible cane and umbrella, books for book club and laptop. It fits a lot of oddly shaped items. I like the color because bright yellow and reflective. In the picture it looks like the middle band is white instead of black. that's because the flash went off. So that's what it will probably look like when a car is coming at my back. And swerves to miss me hopefully.

Daily to and from work. Carry my laptop and folders, sometimes a change of clothes. Rugged and durable yet classy and eye catching. Lightweight.

I L O V E this bag! It is mahoosive. While I don't always need it's capacity every single day, I really like being able to haul my 17" workstation, tablet, lunch, drinks, schtuff, while still having room for more stuff and any random kittens the cat distribution system has graced me with. My only gripe is the water bottle pockets. It would be nice if they could accommodate a 1L Nalgene bottle but they definitely do not. They're snug around a standard 12 oz soda can. I can see that compromise being necessary on the small chassis but not on this grande of mine. Regardless, this bag is still fuego. The zips are rugged and stitching is strong like lumberjack. It's built tougher than a bank vault and holds more too. All that wrapped up in tough rain resist fabric that laughs at water. When the ice caps melt and the flood waters cometh, I'm using this thing as my own personal Ark. #weightlossgoals.

Fantastic bag, TONS of room. This is my second Timbuktu bag, as my old one was starting to fall apart after 11 years or so (I used it for everything). High-quality craftsmanship that looks like it'll last another 10+ years.

I love the workmanship and the ability to customize. The cordura is super tough and should last a long time. I added the laptop pocket and that sits perfectly in the bag. I also opted for the bottle holders inside, but they are a little small for my everyday insulated water bottles. Hopefully they can be stretched.

This bag is beautifully made. The stitching on the main seams and accessory loops is perfect. The materials feel solid and I hope the bag will be as durable as it feels. The interior is more spacious than I imagined it would be, and the organizational pockets are smartly placed. I also ordered the custom strap pad. It, too, is well made. However I don't think I will need it, as the strap by itself is substantial enough.

Now, If I'm being honest, I had no intention to get this bag. I'd been scouring online for a Legend Of Zelda style bag (either officially licensed or even something on Etsy or custom made). Despite my fandom demand, none of the bags I saw could actually hold their own with what I needed the bag to do. It had to be functional as well as fill the fandom wants. Alas... So, I got the large in Eco Cordura Canvas, Arctic Blue - which works out perfect if your a fan of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. The blue is the perfect shade for my needs, and the bag fullfills the basic functions and then some! Now that I've got the base bag, I can go forward with customizing the outside with personal fandom designs on my own without worrying about the bags performance. If I ever find myself in need of a new bag, fandom or not, I'll be buying a Timbuk2 bag for sure!

I bought this messenger bag for my walk to back and forth to work. It has been a serious upgrade from my tattered old Fossil bag. The custom options were extensive and the construction quality as well. There are numerous and diverse pockets to adapt to multiple uses and it's comfortable to wear, especially after breaking it in.

I bought this to serve as my man bag...well, my old man bag...at 71 years of age, I find myself needing more walking around storage than just my pockets. This medium size bag, which I had custom colored in my Zen color...gray...it matches my personality...is of a perfect size to carry everything I might need for a day's outing: Water, rain jacket, oxygen bottle! , anything else that I can imagine needing. Plus, these pockets! Brilliant, simply brilliant! You'll actually have to explore the bag to find them all. Like an Easter egg hunt... There are various and sundry options you can add to your bag. Go to the website to check them out. Plus, the construction and materials are industrial grade stuff. I have backpacks made of lesser fabric. Bottom line? I wanted a man bag that looked manly. This bike messenger bag spells macho with a capital "M".

This is my third TB2 bag and the first large bag out of three, my previous two were mediums. I decided to upgrade after 10 years in each of the previous bags as my metal Stanley lunchbox had done some damage to the interior weatherproof cover from being put and taken out. Additionally, it was a tight fit, even with next to nothing in the bag. That bag was not custom but did have most of the upgrades (strap, handle, interior mesh pockets). I also upgraded because the plastic cinching clasp for the main strap had become unreliable and would unexpectedly let go. As I don't use my bag on a bike anymore, this wasn't dangerous but mildly frustrating. The metal design on the new bag seems promising and reliable in the long term. Otherwise, the overall design is unchanged. The extra space is great and the custom panels and piping turned out way better than I envisaged.

Just buy it. Medium size is perfect - fits 16" MacBook Pro well and 14" not too small in the pocket. I went through a couple of non-Timbuk2 bags after my last one and very happy to be back again with a Timbuk2. Great for travel, home, work, and play.

My company in the 90's gave us these cool bags. I was robbed along with my bag which held up good during a struggle. So I must replace it.

I really like this custom bag, i took way too long deciding on the colors. I will say that the sky blue did take up a stain faster than I expected. I have an old TimBuk2 bag and the materials on that are much more durable and resilient, but thicker and heavier, so there is that trade off. I wish that some of the color options had a pattern to break up the color blocking so it doesn't look so much like a country flag.

This is my third Timbuk2 messenger bag in 13 years of hard traveling. I've wandered much of the globe, and haven't found a better bag. This is a high quality product that's built to last, and it's worth every penny. Thanks, Timbuk2!! Y'all Rock!!!!
