These run super small. Order at least a half size up and you may want to consider ordering a wide fit as well. Also, the whiskey color is nothing like how it is shown in the picture. It is much lighter and does not have the nice tone variation shown in the picture. These arrived with a couple of black marks on the shaft so they probably scuff easily. Would not recommend.

I have been in search of boots for a few years but I thought now is the time to splurge, but it just didn't work out. These boots really didn't look much like the picture. My boyfriend even asked if they were the same boot as the picture, and he doesn't notice much in the way of fashion. The boots I received were lighter than the rich whiskey brown as advertised, and are stiff, unlike how they look soft in the picture. Maybe they would soften with age? Lately, it seems that 10's have been running small in the shoe store so I ordered a 10.5, but they were too long, yet much more narrow than normal. I'm returning them...boo!! I am so disappointed that I STILL don't have boots.

Does not match the picture. I was expecting something that looked like the rich leather appearance in the photo and this looks like a weird synthetic kind of off color tan. Not at all lile picture... almost seems like a different boot. Returning immediately.

This boot ran very small. I have never had to buy a size larger than an 8 in ANY shoe and could not even zip this one up over my heel. The color is also much lighter and less appealing than is shown in the pictures. Returning.

These boots looked so good onscreen, but didn't cut it IRL. The leather is super soft and feels like high quality, but it's waaaaay too big around the ankle, particularly in the front. It's sloppy and looks ridiculous. Also side note - I've never had this happen before with zappos and I've ordered a lot of shoes, this time the packaging was bad. Like opened the zappos box and inside it was just an unmarked plain cardboard box. okkaaaayyy...no tags anywhere on the boots, piece of masking tape stuck on one with numbers handwritten on it. They were clearly returned by someone else which is fine, but normally Zappos does a better job of re-packaging before selling them again. This definitely felt like opening a box of used boots. They're going back (again, apparently.)

I really loved these boots. Wore them at times through the winter, spring, and fall. The reddish brown was an awesome color for black or brown clothing. However, here a year later, they are already worn out. The zipper is broken on one shoe, the sole is literally falling apart, and there is a little flap at the bottom of the zipper that keeps getting hung the wrong way inside my shoe. I have taken care of them by conditioning the leather, but the leather even looks worn out. I am disappointed that I made such an expensive purchase, and they are already worn out. They should have lasted longer.

These boots are gorgeous, but they are SO NARROW. I have owned these boots in both regular and wide and I honestly think the regular ones were wider than the wide. The "wide" size is so tight that they cut off the circulation in my feet after about an hour of wear. I have never had this issue with any wide shoes before and to top that off, my feet aren't even THAT wide. Sam Edeleman refused to do anything for me except have me pay to ship the boots to them so they could "inspect" them. Absolutely awful customer service. So, if you have even slightly wider than average feet do not purchase these boots.

I bought these in the olive color size 6.5M. Holy wide calf! My calves were swimming in these. Have to return. Thank goodness for Zappos excellent return program! I wasn't too pleased with the quality of the leather. It was borderline "pleather" looking like the other reviewers said.

Fit just wasn't right. Purchased wide as I always do but the front was still too narrow yet my heel lift right out when I walked. I loved these in the picture but the color wasn't exactly as shown either (the lighter brown but were even lighter than in the picture).

The foot-part of the boot fit very well. However, I ordered this boot in a 9 (the size I usually wear) wide calf (mine measure 18 inches) and it would not even zip half way up. I returned and ordered a half size larger (per other's recommendations) and it still would not zip. I would go another half size up, but then my foot would be swimming in the boots. I am very disappointed because I love the color and they would be able to be dressed up or down. I just wish that wide calf boots were actually for wide calves!

These boots run terribly small! I am normally a 7.5 or an 8 with some room in a boot. I ordered an 8 and could barely zip them over my ankle. they were so tight that I lost feeling in my foot just trying them on! I immediately boxed them up for return :(

I was really disappointed is the proportionality of the shoe. The foot part was so huge it looked like a clown shoe. If I ordered a half size down I was worried that they would be too narrow. I sent them back.

I loved this boot. Great style, very comfortable but the sizing is really strange. I am always a size eight. The 8 in these boots was way to big (3/4 inch of space between my toes and the top of the boot), so I ordered the 7.5, which felt like it was a full size smaller. Sadly, I'm returning both.

Don't love these. Size - One thing to be aware of is that the boots stretch, so you may want to buy a half size small. Had to return the first pair after 2 wears when they expanded to be way too big. Warmth - They aren't warm. Any small drop of water or snow feels very cold on the foot. Style - so so. A lot of people have these and they don't look that original. Comfort - so so. Despite being flat, they aren't that comfortable to walk in.

I loved the look of this boot, but the shaft circumference was way tight. Ended up returning the boots. Still I love the style and feel of the leather. Still looking for the perfect boot.

Very nice boots. Leather is soft and a good color. But they wouldn't even come close to zipping over my calf. My boots are usually very tight around my calves, but these were more so than usual. Disappointed.

Returning. So bummed! The shows I received are NOT the same I ordered, albeit I think they're "suppose" to be the same. In the photos, the hardware appears gold, but the ones I received look like brushed metal or something. Minor thing, but the details make the boot! Also, the ankle was really wide on me. I have thin-ish legs; the calf however was good, which is hard to find, so Im even more bummed. I almost wonder if these are knock-offs...or the bottom of the barrel inventory usually sold off to Marshalls or TJ Maxx? The bottom stamped logo does not match what is pictured, leading me to wonder what happened here. It almost seems like a downgraded/cheap version was sent to me & the leather looks like something you'd find at Payless, not at all like what's pictured. SO. BUMMED. :-(

I'm disappointed in these boots. After wearing them they slouch so bad. They look like peter pan boots, not sleek at all. I actually hate them now. The leather on the upper is so thin and cheap the boots can't even stand up on their own. I'm not sure how different they would of been than a boot under this price. I wish I'd just saved up more money and bought Fyre boots to get better quality. I do like the color so I"ll give them 2 stars.

Ugh! Was so excited to receive these boots. I ordered 2 different sizes...the 9 and 8.5. The 9 not only fit snug, but these boots are very narrow! Also did not like the feel of the zipper...it ends low on the heel and when you walk you can feel the zipper! Otherwise a nice looking boot! Please Sam Edelman make a boot that is 15" high. Not everyone has long legs. I am 5ft 5"...My legs are not skinny, nor are they very heavy, but they are short from ankle to knee! Thank you for you consideration!

This boot did not zip up my calf, I am a runner and it didn't wouldn't zip and I didn't even have jeans on, I had a thin pant on. It bunched a ton in the ankle and the boot was too big in the foot area. I wear a size 5 and am short and this boot was too tall, too big in the foot too small in the calf. Had to send it back.

Penny Boot I wanted to love these boots (in black), they are comfortable for the most part, a little snug. They look nice but after 2 days they were very scuffed up; so easily, I didn't spend much time outside(other than walking to and from my car) or any active movements indoors so the severity of scuffing is a true surprise. The leather is not as thick as it appears, not work in my opinion, I don't believe these will last me another season, I needed shoe polish after 2 days of wearing them. They might be better in the brown/cognac shade as far as the visibility of the scuffing goes. I personally will not be risking it.
