So disappointed. Beautiful looking boot. But so stiff, could barely walk in them. I have narrow feet and I felt so constricted. I wanted to love them but back they go.

Really liked the look and thought based on reviews the width would work for me but much too tight so I had to return them I wear an 8W and these just didn't work for me

Disappointed I had to return these as I could not zip the boot up! Cute style, but sadly they have to go back. Also be warned the boots had a bit of a plastic smell when I opened the box!

I need to exchange these boots for a half size larger. Instead of a 7.2, I need an 8.

I really wanted to like these but the rubber that the shoe sits on is so much more narrow than the footbed and it feels like the side of my foot was hanging over. Sending back.

I tried these on at the department store and I liked them. They only had an 8.5 but I needed a 9. I instantly went to Zappos. When I received them (Whiskey color) they seemed to have a cheaper look to them than what I remembered at the dept store. I instantly returned them. I did love the fit. I just didn't like the look. I probably would've liked the black better but I have two pairs of black boots already. Zappos, as usual, was fast at getting these to me and handled the return easily and quickly.

Wanted to love these. The color is superb, the material feels amazing. But they are weirdly small and large at the same time. I wear a 9.5 and do not have wide calves, but these were skin tight around the top of my calf - not the widest part, they were loose there, and weirdly loose right around the ankle. Blergh I wouldn't be able to get even spanx leggings on under these. Too bad. They looked perfect.

These are beautiful boots. I loved the color! They are a perfect height, and I felt that they fit true to size, except in the upper calf. I have muscular calves, but for some reason it is so hard to find boots that aren't too wide in the leg. These boots stuck out so much from the back of my calf it looked ridiculous. I had to return them :( For reference, I am 5'3.5" and 114 lbs.

These boots were cute, but unfortunately were not deep enough, and squeezed my arch quite uncomfortably. Sadly will be returning.

I loved these boots they were so cute and seemed comfy at first but then as soon as I walked in them (just a few blocks when runnin errands) I got bad blisters on my heels... I have never had that happen with boots before, but I think it's from where the zipper attaches at the bottom of the boot rubbing my heel. I tried wearing them again after the scabs healed but the same thing happened again. So sad, I'm still hoping they break in.

The color if far lighter than the photos; more of a tan than whiskey.

I’ve been searching for black boots and I was so happy when I finally found these. Unfortunately, when they arrived I wasn’t so happy. I didn’t like that it has a pointer toe. I wanted a more rounded toe. Once my husband gave his honest opinion and said he didn’t like the buckles that made up my mind and I? returned the item.

I have to agree with another review about the width. It is not wide and also has a very low (top to bottom) toe box. Really cute, but I had to return them.

Wanted to love them! Loved the color and the construction but hated the darker color on the toe and heel. Wanted uniform color.

I think every pair of Sam Edelman shoes/boots are sized differently. In almost all brands I wear a size 4. I own Sam Edelman shoes in size 4, 4.5 and 5. They all fit, just depends on the style. I bought these boots in a 5 thinking they would run small like the sandals I purchased this summer. They were so tight I had to squeeze by foot in and then they were too long, about a full size too big. There is no way I would have been able to squeeze my foot into my usual size 4. These boots are very narrow! I will say my feet are a little wide, but the smaller sizes (4's and 5's) don't generally come in Wide and I can usually make due just fine with a regular fit. Overall the boots were nice, I liked the way they looked. I'm 5 ft tall and the shaft of the boot came just below my knee. The width of the shaft fit perfect around my leg. If they would have fit, I would have kept them.

Lovely looking, but tight across the top of the foot. If you usually wear a medium, I would suggest you try a wide. I'm simply returning them.

These are nice boots, but have to return them because they are too wide in the calf. It looks like I'm wearing rubber boots. Too bad because they do feel comfortable.

Have had good luck with Sam Eddleman boots before but these go back. Tight through the instep (so I didn't try on the 1/2 size smaller I also ordered) and the heel slipped. But the deal breaker is how large the shaft is. Way too big.

I bought these in an 8.5W in brown a few yrs ago and they fit like a dream. Bought them in black and they are very tight and seem like a smaller size. So disappointed and wondering why they fit different. Will try a 9W. Would have these in every color if they fit b/c they style is perfect!

I love the look of the leather but I don't think they'll be comfortable for the amount of walking I plan to do. There's not a lot of cushion.

I love the look of these, but they were too big in the calf. My calves measure about 13", and these gapped too much.

Way too narrow though I ordered Wide. I have a small foot with a high instep and I could hardly even put these on. Disappointing. They are more brown than 'whisky' too.

Disappointed in these boots. They just didn't work for me. I'm not that heavy and I couldn't zip them over jeans. I also didn't think they were very cute in person. Better luck next time I guess.

These are beautiful boots but they are not wide by any stretch of imagination. They seem narrow even for a regular size. I never order wider shoes, but since they had the option, I thought it would be more comfortable and allow for thicker socks. So not the case.
