I am 5' 2" and this boot was too tall and hit the back of my thighs when I sit down. Also the width is too wide at the top and looks sloppy. The shoe portion of the boot is not very stylish and rather loose around the top of the instep. They looked great in the picture...

Boots were beautiful but the fit was off. Much too narrow in the toe yet my heal lifted while walking like the boot was 1/2 size too big.

Cute boot, but my calves were too large for the boot to zip comfortably even with the stretch panel. Didn't think I had large calves.

These were super tight in both the foot and shaft. The zipper stuck when zipping and unzipping. Super disappointing, I looked a long time for simple boots of this color

I am disappointed this boot didn't work. I love the style. It was just a bit too narrow, even when I went up a size.

Fit as expected around calves. Quite wide around the ankles, which I didn't like. Leather was already sagging around the ankles, expect that would get worse with wearing more. Returned because I did not like that look. Also seemed large, I got my normal size and I had a lot of space at the toes, could have gottenhalf a size smaller.

Very chic and smooth boot. No calf give, tight in the toe, but loose heel.

I ordered these in the Whiskey color.....unfortunately these look way more orange than Whiskey! Yuck! Like the fit and style of the boot, but I will be returning these and will try the dark brown color instead. Hope it is actually brown! The "Whiskey" color description should be modified to say "Ompa lompa".

Gorgeous boots and well made. Leather was soft and boot wouldn’t require much breaking in at all, were I to keep them. My only complaint is the toebox; I wasn’t expecting it to be so narrow/pointed and this was a dealbreaker for me. If you’re used to dress boots or heels the toebox won’t bother you. It really is a gorgeous boot and it pains me to return it. Highly recommended if you are looking for a dressy (yet casual enough for jeans) riding style boot.

loved the quality but didn't like the different hieght on each side also a little tight on calf and I don't have large calves - will exchange

Too narrow

The leather in the whiskey color looks dull with an orange hue. Not the rich whiskey color I was expecting. Foot sole is comfortable, narrow toe box and I have narrow feet. Boot style itself is great. Wish the leather was a better quality and color,

Beautiful gray boot; however, the entry from which I ordered came up from search for wide-calf gray boots. It also said, "Penny 2 Wide Calf." The top of the shaft is wider than an most boots' shafts, but the actual calf is not. Beware!

Just okay -- small metal embellishment looks cheap.

This is a beautiful, well made boot. Based on other reviews I ordered a full half size bigger and the shoe was so small I couldn't get my heel in! I also have "athletic" calves, but these did not come close to zipping over them. (May be due to sizing issue.) I love the boot. I hate that I have to return them. Buyer beware with sizing and calf width though.

fit was super narrow across the top of the foot. looked more suitable for an older person and I'm 46.

Didn’t like the zipper in the back, nice leather, very narrow and stiff, buttons/snaps more antique looking than glossy gold.

Loved the fit but hated the extra height on one side - made me look like a pirate. Back they go.

I agree with other reviewers-the style was very nice, but the ankles felt baggy-like the leather is too thin.

Loved the style and fit. Exactly what I was looking for. However, even though I eventually had 5 different pairs, none were found to not have a major flaw in leather, zipper and snap in back. Zappos was AMAZING to deal with and more than made it right.

Color is much lighter than the stock photo. They felt a pinch too narrow in the foot. Will be returning because they also bunch up at the ankles which I do not like.

These are very nice boots that look great with skirts or jeans. I’ve been looking for a pair like this, with a low heel and not too many embellishments, for a long time. But I’m really disappointed that they gave me blisters on the back of my heels on the first day of wear, just around the office. I’m worried about how comfortable they’ll be if I try to walk around town in them.

These run small all around. I have pretty normal feet but needed a wide sole. I made the mistake of getting the normal calves when I should have order wide. Order wide everything unless you are tiny.

These boots were way too tight across the toes, and had way too much room in the calf area. I wanted to like them but because of these things, I had to return them.
