They are very wide in the calf area. My calf to body ratio is proportional and I just gave birth to twins so I thought I might need to get the wide calf version since I gained a lil weight and Im so glad I didnt. With the normal width, I can literally store a baby bottle in each boot while wearing them. So if you need cute storage, these boots are for you. But they are comfortable!

Purchased a pair several years ago, size 7, true to size, very comfortable boots even for all day walking in the city or traveling. Have the gray/green color and love them, but now worn out too much - the bottom heels came off and looking for the same color. Sam Edelman - can you make this same boot and color again or are the heels available to order/repair? The gray/green color is unique and pairs well with a lot.

I love Penny riding boots and have been buying this style for almost 10 yrs. Ive NEVER had any problems with them and have them in almost every color. However, my most recent pair purchased approx 1 mos ago fit a little tighter in the foot area and both of the leather tabs at the back of the boot, attached to the zipper, have pulled off. Both ripped at the stitching around the zipper, and one ended up coming off completely. Ive only worn these a few times. Past pairs Ive worn literally across the world through Ireland, Italy, site seeing, walking my dogs in fields, tiptoeing over pebbled beaches on the east coast. They have been the best boots! Im hoping this is a weird fluke and that my new black pair wont have the same issue. Ill update if resolved. Just seems like the newest version are not quite made the same as years past.

Absolutely love these! So much so, I bought them in brown, too. Super sad the black ones are deteriorating on the inside. And cant seem to locate a new pair in my size. Buy them when you can!!! You wont regret it.

I've had these boots for about a year now. While most everything is great, I will say, the leather strips wrapped around the heel of the boot are completely gone. They started coming off within a month of wear and now are gone completely, leaving a sad looking heel. Still wearing the boots because they are a great fit, Comfortable, and otherwise very stylish. But did not expect that given the price point and quality promises.

Absolutely beautiful boots. Love the look and comfort of the black boots. Purchased standard calf width which is 14.5 inch circumference. They are just a tad too wide and floppy around my calves 14 inch would be perfect . Wish you had an option for narrow calf. Unfortunately had to return they look too floppy on me.

These were my go to fall boots for the last several years, so I was incredibly disappointed when I took these out (of my climate controlled closet) and found the inner leather is disintegrating. I expect better quality for boots this price

I ordered these and they accidentally sent the wide calf in the regular box, I was swimming in them. My issue is different from everyone elses, I have skinny legs but big feet. I went to the store and exchanged for regular calf. I love that the regular calf is skinny, other boots look too wide, these are perfect, but, the toe box is too small, my toes are so cramped. And even with thick socks my heel pops up out of the heel of the boot while walking, so the friction causes skin irritation. The second time I wore the second pair, the leather zipper pull ripped off the zipper, so Im on my third pair since the original order. Im convinced theres no comfortable and stylish real leather boots anymore.

I think these boots for me are a perfect fit. I love the way they look in the brown. I had minimal break in period. Looks great with several outfits and not too tight on the calves.

I love these boots. They are well made from beautiful leather. A great addition to any wardrobe.

Love the boots but had issue like others with the heel falling off after a few wears several times, I will attempt again to get them repaired as they fit so well but its very disappointing and costly.

Sam Edelman cheated me, both by failing to incorporate a 10% discount it promised me, and by not adding a discount it advertised for that day. I complained and received no response - yet this is the third time Ive been spammed to provide feedback and reviews.

Im so disappointed with these attractive boots. They run big, not actual size. I had to add insoles because they are hard. I wore them once but the heal is already wearing down.

Just fit but couldnt fit even jeans under it I wanted.

My go to black leather boots. Second time Ive bought these after I wore out my first pair after years of good use.

I owned my first pair when I was a sophomore in high school in 2012 and wore this boots all the way till this year because I had ended up getting a whole in the sole and the leather was old and falling apart. This pair I got as a birthday gift and omg its just as comfy and still my to go boot to wear!

They look good. But boots are very stiff around the ankle and leg. I have not worn them out yet, so hopefully they will become more comfortable with wear.
