These boots look great, but I have bigger calves and these didn't work for me...I could zip up but they were too snug...I'm returning them and trying in the wide calf option....

I got these in gray and cognac and tried both the 7.5 and 8. I felt like the 8 would have been perfect but the boot was super narrow and I don't have wide feet. Need to return.

These were very pretty boots. I'm not sure I liked the black shading on the toe, so I am returning them. They are also at least a half size smaller than normal.

I loved the simple style- it didn't have buckles, etc., but the zipper in the back contributed to a lack of support around my heel- it kept slipping up when I walked. Tried an insert but that didn't help either.

As mentioned by previous buyers, the leather is really nice. The main issue for me is that the toe box is very narrow. Usually mediums widths fit just fine but not for this shoe, would have to get them stretched. Also not a fan of how crumpled/relaxed the boot is around the ankle. If those things are no issue for you, then this is a great boot and you can't beat the price!

Love the boots but so narrow on the feet. I have a wide foot and athletic legs (I run) so unfortunately they were not made with me in mind. But gorgeous!

Nice leather, much lighter color than pictured, way too snug in the calf. They do state on a slip in the box that the leather may vary due to hand-processing, but be aware that "vary" can mean a wide range of browns. That said, I would have kept them if the back zip hadn't foiled me and my generous calves.

Love the look and style of these. But am returning because the zipper up the back rubbed my heel. I tried two pairs even. Sad they didn't work.

Beautiful stile, minimalist and chic. Narrow fit (which is good for me), leather seems to have good quality. Happy with the product, would totally recommend it!

These may be the most comfortable boots I have ever worn! Honestly the style wasn't exactly what I was looking for after seeing them in person but after putting them on I didn't want to take them off!

This is a gorgeous boot with soft leather and a clean classic shape. I love the olive color that is neutral, yet not the same thing you see everywhere. Unfortunately this boot is too narrow for the front of my foot. Since it's leather it might stretch with wear, but at the price I can't take that risk.

I really wanted to love these but the shaft of them was slightly too wide and also the boot top hit my leg in a strange spot. They almost looked too wide - like a rain boot. And, I have wide calves, so, on someone else, they must look really wide.

These boots have wonderful style and arch support. They are comfortable, and the leather is supple. The quality and craftsman ship is excellent. My only concern is that the circumference of the boot was not large enough. I am 4'9" 110 lbs tall. Basically I am average build for my height. I ordered the size 4. I had trouble zipping them around my calf muscles. I needed to spray rubbing alcohol on them and wear them to stretch them out. Now they no longer cut off circulation! Sadly a water mark was left from the process. In general I believe the shaft and circumference formula for all shoe designers making size 4 boots is a little off. If all petite women were the size and shape of a nine year old we would order children's shoes. Just with age an adult's leg muscles are going to be more developed.

Beautiful boots, but unfortunately a bad fit. They were a bit snug for my calves, but more importantly, they were too tall and dug into the back of my knee. I'm 5', so shorter girls, take note!

This was my first Zappos purchase and I am very pleased with it. These boots are comfortable to walk in out of the box and look great. I spent a 4-hour walking day in them right away and they were fine. I am 110 lbs, 5' 3", and usually wear a 6. These are 6M / 37 and they fit great. The opening at the calf is wide and leaves lots of room for tucking pants in. If you're looking for a boot that doesn't cling to your leg at the calf, this is it. I gave it 4 and not 5 stars because the color in the photo is not true to the boot. In the photo the leather looks much more reddish, shiny and irregular in texture (which I liked), whereas the actual boots I got are a much more even brown, and not as shiny. Everything else is exactly as pictured.

Great fall/winter black boots! Great tread, leather, style details, and construction quality. I also like that they have a bit of a heel and the almond-shaped toe. The top of the shaft does flare out a bit but it's a style element I also enjoy. I am able to wear these to work on snowy or rainy days and also casually. I've got meaty calves and haven't had any problems with the shaft circumference. They're pretty comfortable and never hesitate to wear them full days. I've gotten quite a bit of compliments on these boots and think I'll be able to hang onto them for a few years.

Love, love, love! Cute boot, very nice leather and comfy! If you have wide feet I would not recommend, but other than that they are exactly what I was looking for in a fashion riding boot.

I like these boots. They are comfortable and have the minimalist feel that I was looking for. I have the black and have had trouble keeping them scuff free and clean, but no major complaints. For the price, I don't think that I could have done better.

Beautiful leather and stylish boot that I unfortunately have to return. I wear a size 10 normally and this boot runs small and was super narrow.

Love these boots! The leather is soft as butter. Really like the worn-in dark detail at the tow & heal. Very comfortable. Definitely recommend. Only con is the zipper - the puller can rotate & is hard to correct, and when I cross my legs, the snap over the zipper comes undone.

I wasn't too sure about these boots at first, they were a little shorter than I expected, and also not as tight around the calf as I wanted. I sent them back because they felt a little too small in the sole as well. I am 5'7 and 105 pounds and they seem to be built for shorter people and felt too wide. The leather quality is great though and they are very soft.

I found the fit to be true to size. I have thicker calves and the boots fit fine over them. The only problem I found was that the leather was so soft that I had gapping around the ankle. I was worried that the gapping would worsen with time and look slouchy. I am returning but I will they are very nice looking boots and comfortable out of the box.

The boots looked nice and the leather was soft. As previously mentioned, I wish the the material had a little more strength in the shaft. I have muscular calves and they fit perfect. The foot was a bit tight. I am a good 9 but these will be too snug. Have to return.

Great boot. Fit well and I found them to be stylish. They are more olive than brown so be sure that's the color you want. I love the olive color so it was no problem for me.
