These boots felt accurately described and I did like them, but unfortunately they were too tight around the calf and I couldn't zip them. Sometimes I need wide calf boots and sometimes standard works, so I would say the calf of these runs on the normal-to-narrow side. Sam Edelman is always a brand I gravitate toward since they offer a larger range of sizes and widths (10.5! W!). Unfortunately my preferred size combos of either 10.5W or 11W were both out of stock, so I rolled the dice on the 11M. I ended up returning these and went with the Born Poly in 11M which fit me much better (very snugly around the calf but I did manage to zip them and I know the leather will relax with wear).

I bought 2 pairs of blue, both have a click in the right heel. Very annoying and for that reason will probably return. I don’t want to pay that much for boots to make annoying sound walking around an office with everyone telling me my boots click

I really wanted to keep these boots. They are a beautiful style and color ( I ordered the redwood brown color when I saw the reviews for the Whiskey color were more tan than I wanted) but the I couldn't get them zipped over my 15" calf. I tried sizing up a 1/2 size and were able to zip those, but not over jeans. They definitely run narrow, so sizing up a 1/2 size from your regular size should give you a good fit. Sadly, they must go back.

These are a nice supple leather. They fit well and the short time I walked around the house they seemed fairly comfortable. I returned these though because I really didn't like the darken toe and heal. It just wasn't for me. If you like that look then I recommend these boots...but your foot should be fairly narrow to wear them.

Great looking boot, runs a bit small. Too tight on me, couldn’t add a sock so returned for larger size.

They were cute boots. The leather felt nice. It was a nice shade of grey. However, they crinkled more than I liked at the top of my foot when I walked. They just seemed too wide in that area. It gave a sloppy look, so I sent them back.

I really love these boots. They’re stylish and comfortable. Only problem with these boots is the same that is true if most boots for those of us with a high arch, too tight across the midfoot. I’m bummed I have to return them.

These were almost a good fit. I don't know what Sam Edleman's "W" width equates to, but it was just a little too narrow for my typical "D" width needs. Everything else about these boots is nice: style, leather quality, soles, etc. They did seem to have a strange proportion to the instep area of the footbed. The insole just didn't hit right and my feet felt like they were sloping back towards the heel a bit.

I loved the boots. They were very comfortable but unfortunately for me they were too tight around my calf. These boots will go back.

I have very wide feet and am always on the lookout for cute shoes that come in wide sizes. I needed to replace a pair of brown boots and was excited to come upon these. The redwood brown is a very nice color, but the 7.5 wide size was just too big. My toes were like an inch from the end, and they were so tall that the back of the boot poked weirdly behind my knee when I climbed stairs. I plan to try a half size smaller to see if that's any better. Overall they seem like a nice boot though.

These boots (in Redwood Brown) are drop dead gorgeous. But they feel a bit narrow, so I am hoping the W width get restocked soon so I can get a wider pair!

Even though this boot was beautiful and stylish, I found the toe box to be narrow.

I liked everything about these (the soft leather, the styling, the back zipper and tab detail) except that they were quite wide at the ankle compared to some of the other styles I tried, and the risk of cankles was too great.

Smaller than usual and more narrow. I do not wear wide but had to order wide in order to be comfortable

Cute boots, but the snap over the zipper was annoying and felt as though it would likely break over time. Shaft height at 16+ inches was just a bit too high for me since I'm just 5'4" on a good day. Certainly a great price for stylish boots.

I got these boots for my daughter who is in college. She thought they were very stylish and comfortable but they were huge on her calves. She worried that even with wearing long socks and tucking her jeans into the boots, her calves still would have been swimming in them.

This boot is beautiful--exactly the color I wanted and loved the style. However, I have a wide toe box and even though I ordered a wide, it was too narrow. Therefore, I have to return them.

Beautiful looking boot, very stylish. Size runs a little narrow, I ordered a wide and it worked well. I thought the leather was a nice quality.

unfortunately they are too short for my lower legs - not seeing another in that price range to try right now - please credit my credit card number and I hope to get something in the future.

Loved the color and style. Wished it had a bit more heel height.

This is my fourth Penny boot as I have them in various colors. The leather is soft for the price and I find them extremely comfortable. I have a bad back and bad knees and I can walk in these all day thus the four pairs. I like the full zip for easy on and off and no leg contortions required. I purchased the regular calf but they are still a little wide around the back of the boot even though I do have an above average calf. I would also have appreciated if they were an inch or two taller.

Unfortunately, my niece is in between the regular and wide calf sizes. The former she can't get zipped all the way and the latter is swimming around her calf. Her calf measures about 15.75" around and she wants to wear skinny jeans inside them, so she needs about a 16" calf circumference.
