Tried a size 9, but was way too big even with thick boot socks. Returned and ordered a size 8.5. Still a bit tight in the toe box, but hoping it stretches.

They were very snug on my pretty narrow calf. Main issue for return is that the shoes arrived used. They were dirty on the bottom, had scuffs around the snap and hair in the zipper.

I bought a 9W but it felt too tight for my Wide feet sometimes I’m ok with W sometimes need the Ww

Originally purchased the regular width, but sent back and exchanged for wide width. I have SUPER narrow feet, and have never had an issue with shoes being too narrow. After I switched to the wide width, they were perfect! I gave 4 stars because I also have very narrow calves. The shaft of these boots is narrower than many I've owned in the past, but still a little wide for what I was looking for. All-in-all, I love the color and all-leather with a rubber sole and they fit great, so I'm keeping them.

Overall I love it. The calf does feel narrow but love it overall.

This is a very comfortable boot. Easy to wear walking around in the winter for extended periods of time with no discomfort. I originally bought them a few years ago in a wide calf. They have always been a bit too loose at the top for my liking. I reordered them in regular width and I did think they look better, but not so much better to own the same boot in two different calf widths. Sorry Zappos, but at least I got it out of my system.

Great boots!

These are beautiful boots. The leather is very soft and the dark brown is a rich color. The shaft of the boot is a good size. I have fairly muscular calves and was still able to get them zipped up. However, these shoes are not true to size. I ordered a 9W, half size up from what I usually wear to accommodate thick socks, these shoes were way too tight. I'm not sure if this brand runs narrow but anyone with standard wide feet should look elsewhere.

I usually wear M width but these shoes feel narrower so I returned the M and re-ordered a W, the W width fits much better. There is too much room around heel area so when walking my heels slipping/moving a lot; since it is very difficult to find navy color leather boots plus it is stylish with solid in quality, I plan to keep them, may consider adding some insoles trying to workaround this issue.

I like these boots very much and will probably order in another color (I have the black ones). My only complaint is the placement of the snap in the back. Whenever I cross my legs, then un-cross them, I inadvertently unsnap the snap! It’s become annoying because I feel I have to explain the noise when it happens so folks don’t think I passed gas or something! I’m just leaving it unsnapped for now.

Overall the fit is good. Just like most review says about the zipper on the heel could be hard to zip up. But i will keep it. The calf area is smaller than expected since it’s a riding boot. It does however make my legs look slim. Love it.

I’m between a 6.5 and a 7, ordered the 6.5 and they were too tight. However the shaft was a bit wide at the top. Did not fit snug on my calf. I don’t have particularly slim calves, I’m 5’3 and 118 lbs. Had to return.

After an extensive search, this seems to be the only boot ON THE PLANET that comes with the option of a wide foot and not a wide calf. Since I purchased this same boot in the normal width years ago, my bunions worsened, and I had to stop wearing them. I'n so happy they're still making this style and offering a wide foot with a regular calf size. Yay! This is a classic style.

I liked them, but I have arthritis in my right big toe and bunion on outside right foot. Therefore they were not wide enough in the foot. I had ordered a 6W but it was still too narrow. I have inserts for my arch suport too.

These boots are a good quality for the price. The color is a mid brown and easy to match with many skirts or pants. The foot felt a little tight while the calf part of the boot is a little to the wide side. The sole of the boot is rubber and has some tread which is helpful for winter wear. Overall - I am happy with this choice!

Nice boot, my second pair. The missing star is for the extra room just below the ankle that’s a bit weird but not awful. Not sure what the solve is for this but it would surely make this an Edelman rockstar in the boot category. As for the leather, it’s mid grade quality and works well with work and casual outfits. Certainly not your dressy boot. Finally, my first pair lasted through 5 northeast winters with annual visits to shoe repair for waterproofing spray, polish and heel. Averaging $25. Finally had to throw away the first pair when the lining of the boot tore and separated from the leather. I hope this helps someone in their decision making.

Great looking boots, I run between an 8 and 8 1/2 in Sam Edelman shoes. However, the top of the calf was huge; could probably sick my entire hand in there. Not a good look with skinny jeans so I will be returning.

I'm 5'8" and wear a size 10 in most shoes. The length and width of these boots felt perfect, but the shaft circumference of the boot was narrow. I was able to zip them, but I was afraid they'd be uncomfortable (and I might burst the zipper). I've had several pair of knee boots and never had to order "wide calf" boots. But, these will have to go back - - I'll try the wide calf because I like the style of this boot.

I'm a size 7, medium width, slender calves- this boot fit great and as expected. The leather is really soft and is thinner than other stiff boots I've tried (Michael Kors- too fancy for me), which is not good or bad, just a style preference matter. I loved the casual, approachable style of this boot and they look wonderful on! They fit fine over skinny jeans. The only complaint I have is the "whiskey" color-- I expected a rich cognac but it's more of a yellowish brown.

The leather on these are like buttah, which, here in New England, means they are fresh meat for the salt and nasty terrain. I will try to keep them in their virginal condition, but I can make no promises. I bought these because they are navy leather and under $300, the equivalent of the Yeti, in that they are creatures of legend. I wear a lot of navy and boots are my go-to in the winter because, generally, they keep my feet warm, so here we are. These are not waterproof and I will have to wipe them down immediately if I get them wet. They are a little tight on the top of my foot but they've molded and are pretty comfortable. For me, they are definitely worth the price but I know that I will likely have to go Yeti hunting in another two years.
