I have been looking for a black riding boot for the last few years but having a skinny ankle, I have found it impossible to get a good fit but this boot is great, fits well and through to size (I'm a regular size US8 medium width). Nice detail with zip up back and button enclosure at top with curved top.

These boots were adorable. Stylish, very soft leather. They are small though - not in size, just in general. I am petite - 5'2", 110, but I was looking for something a little taller than these. Also, while the leather is soft, I was actually looking for something a little stiffer - more of traditional looking riding boot. These are a great boot for a small person - just wasn't what I was looking for.

Great boots! A little edge, but not too much for corporate America. Very comfy and the little zipper keeper tab in the back keeps them quiet. Have to get used to a back zip instead of side, but it does make them easier to get on and off... They are a little loose at the top, and I have average calves, but will be easy to tuck skinny jeans into.

These boots are amazingly cute and comfortable! It feels like I could walk for hours in them! I have very finicky feet, and these fit like perfection. I will say that they are a little big at the top, but I have fairly skinny calves. Also, they do not come all the way to my knee (I am 5'4"), which is fine with me. These look a lot like the Frye Lindsay Plate, but much more affordable. I have these in the Whiskey color and love them, I might have to grab them in black too. I am a true 7½ and these are right on.

They are lovely boots, and great quality, but too way wide at the top for my calves. Back they go. So sad.

Great boots but the zipper pull and one of the metal buttons fell off.

Love these boots- I bought the same style 5 years ago and wore them out because I wore them so often. I would give 5 stars; however, when I received my new boots, the bottom of them had dirt and grass on them, indicating they'd been previously worn. Zappos was easy to work with in getting a replacement, but I would prefer to know the shoes I am getting are the first time they will be used.

too small overall

These are beautiful boots, but the arch hit in the wrong place and they are tight across the top of my foot. Sadly, had yo return them.

The fit was perfectly fine. Love the boots, EXCEPT there is a discoloration on one of the boots that makes it look like a second/ irregular. I would love to exchange them for even colors on both as opposed to on just one.

Beautiful boots but did not fit me - they were too tight and narrow in the foot area for me. I sent them back.

The quality was excellent. However, the upper leg opening was at least 5" wider than my calf. It was wide enough to wear them with snow-pants, though I bought them to wear with tights. I would re-purchase these if they came with a tighter-fitting top.

Fit is true to size. Feels like butter.
