These boots wowed me right out of the box. The leather is supple and looks amazing. The fit is great, and there's even some arch support. They look fantastic. I want more!

My favorite! I have them in brown and black. I'm a hairdresser and I can be on my feet all day in these shoes.

These boots look great. I love the color. The only complaint I have is that the snap in the back pops open and the straps hang out. I am sure this is something that might drive some people nuts. I don't mind.

I already had the Penny in black and had been looking for a brown boot. I couldn't find anything to fit my wider calf. Decided to get the Penny in brown and should have done that from the start to save me a lot of time. It fits perfectly and I could wear all day on the first day.

Especially good quality leather for boots in this price range. Got these instead of a much higher priced similar boot from Frye, and am very happy with them.

I really like these boots. Nice color, beautifully soft leather, and not much bling. The size fit me pretty true; other reviews said they were sized big. I'm very happy with them!

I love these boots! I get compliments on them all the time. They are comfortable and the perfect height for me (I am 5'4 and often times boots make me look shorter or fall in the wrong place on my legs). The leather is soft. My only gripe is the snap closure on the back comes unsnapped easily and then it clinks loudly when you walk. But it's an easy fix to resnap and keep going.

Lovely fit! I'm glad I went with the 8M after reading the reviews. The leather is quality and yes, they do look just like Frye's version but more reasonable in price. I'm looking another pair in Whiskey.

Beautiful boots! Very sleek, leather is so soft. Comfy right out of the box. Wear with dressy skirt or jeans. Only complaint is I wish they came with foam insert to keep them upright because the leather is so soft they fold over. Not a deal breaker however.

Love! Not a pair of boots with frills because these ones have a classic design. They're the perfect pair of classic black boots to go with my outfits.

I bought this boot, as it had good reviews for us gals that have a bigger calf size. My calf measures 14.5". I tried these on without jeans in them or anything and couldn't just barely zip them up. I was really disappointed. I returned them. But - if you have a calf size of about 13.5", then I think these would be perfect for you. The style is so cute. Some other reviews didn't like the darker "worn" look toe - but I loved it. I thought it gave the boot character. Alas, if only I had smaller a smaller calf size.

This is my second pair of these boots, the other in brown. The calf is a bit roomier than many I've tried. I like the back zipper and I think the price is good for the quality.

Of course, the boots arrived quickly - which I love about Zappos. They look 99% like the photo. I was looking forward to seeing the wear on the toe like the photo but it's okay that it was not there. They are very stylish without being obnoxious. The zipper and the snap in the back both work but I was able to get in/out without using them. These boots definitely fit the bill.

These are great. They are really classic cognac boots. The leather feels high quality! One thing that I noticed is that there seems to be some variation in color. The pair that I received is a deeper, more beautiful brown than the display pair I saw at Nordstrom's (which was lighter). They do have some shading, which is part of the boots - the toes are burnished. They seem like they will be comfortable for walking and they look great with jeans tucked in.

These boots are gorgeous. A bit tight across the front of the foot but after some wearing in it isn't too bad.

Love these, can dress up or down. Very soft leather. I get compliments all of the time. Fit true to size and very comfortable.

Love these boots! They do run a little big. I normally wear an 8.5 but ordered an 8 and they fit great. Fit nicely on small calf. Don't bunch up around ankle. Beautiful leather.

I am a shoe fiend and this is by far my favorite pair of boots. I normally wear a 7½ and the 7½ in these fit perfectly. I also have 15" calfs and these fit without any problem. They are the perfect sleek black boots and they go with everything. I definitely get compliments on these. The soles are pretty hard and my feet can get achey if I am walking in these all day, but it is nothing that an insert cannot fix. The zipper works great and the shoes do not clack on hard surfaces like some of my other boots which is nice. The only thing is that the snap on the back of these will undo itself and clack when you walk. Other than that they are great! I highly recommend these if you are looking for basic stylish black boots.

I ordered these at the same time as the Nine West Counter boots. I really wanted to like the latter because they were a bit cheaper, but these Sam Edelman boots far surpassed the Nine West boots in style and quality. The Counter boots felt thin and cheap and looked too shiny, but the leather on these feels great and is not too shiny. Also, when you wear the Counter boots, you can see the ugly brown inside. What a terrible idea to line the inside of black boots with that color. These are all black inside. If you are between the two, go with the Sam Edelman Penny boots. I generally wear a 9½ or a 10, and the 9½ fit well. On another note, this was my first experience with Zappos, and I am very impressed. The boots shipped quickly, and I received them in good condition. The return process was easy as well.

This boot is beautiful! The leather is so soft and comfy. Boot runs large though. I ordered my usual size & I am exchanging for 1/2 size smaller. Hope they fit 'cause I love the boot.

Love the color and the leather is very soft! The sizing in the toe is a bit snug but I am sure they will break in nicely. I think they are a bit pricey but I have a feeling these are going to be a favorite pair!

I absolutely love these boots! I bought whiskey color that is just beautiful! I have received tons of compliments already. I bought an 8½ though I typically wear a 9. I am glad that I sized down thanks to the previous review. They fit like a glove no pinching, squeezing and super comfortable! And warm to boot!

Love these boots! I get compliments on them every time I wear them. I've had them about a month now and they feel more comfortable than when I first got them, too. I usually wear an 8, but had to get an 8.5 in these. The 8s were a little too snug, especially in the calf.
