Beautiful and comfortable! I have a high arch so when I first put these on they were a bit tight. After wearing them for a full day, the leather stretched and molded to my feet. I am a runner so I have moderately toned calves. These are not a tight fit around the calves so there's room to wear thick socks comfortably.

These are very comfortable boots. They look great with pants and skirts. They have simple yet stylish lines and details. They are slightly lighter in color than I expected from the pictures. I originally ordered the dark brown which was darker than I expected. The dark color obscured the fun details. I ordered the whiskey color and I am very happy with my choice.

I needed boots that were stylish and comfortable and these fulfilled both. I wear a size 7 and that is what I ordered. The fit is great. The height is perfect and comes to my lower knee (I am 5'3", so that is typical.). I love the shape of the toe and have happily been wearing them since they arrived.

I loved the boot but it was too large in the calf. I would have kept them if they weren't so loose in the calf. The foot fit well.

I love these boots! I was debating between gray and brown and got gray. I think the gray color is great because it's unique and goes with almost anything. I originally ordered 9 and they were a bit too small, so I exchanged them for 9.5 and they fit perfectly.

Nice looking, very comfortable and the subtle detail of the buckle makes them stand out just enough. I can wear them to work and out on the town.

These boots are awesome but be sure and order the W if your feet are not extremely narrow. They run true to fit size wise but not width. Terrific material and workmanship. The quality is there.

These are cute and comfortable. I wear them with wool socks and have no issues at all. I am not sure that they would be so comfortable with tights or thinner socks. In any case, I would buy them again.

Cute, cute, cute... and comfortable right out of the box! Keeping these. I wasn't sure how I would like the back zipper, but I think I like it better. You cannot feel it. Shoe and shaft are very soft leather. I do prefer pointier toes or clipped, but these feel so good, it will be worth the comfort as I'm on my feet all day. Oh, and I am not a fan of the "hiker boot" soles, but you cannot even tell these have it. Just extra traction, which I need. I'm a clutz. Just saying.

It is a nice boot but too narrow even in a wide. The length was fine. I normally take an 8W. Also, I ordered the boot in black but was sent a different color! Never had that happen before! I will return these boots. Zappos has a great return policy so there should be no problem there.

I so wanted this boot to fit. From the reviews and sizing information I thought it would. However it would not zip over my calves despite being marked the same size as my calf.

I have only worn these boots twice and I love them. The leather is soft and the boots are comfortable. They fit true to size. Good value for the price.

I agree with every other review! I did go back and forth by half a size but ended up keeping my true size 8.5. It just really depends on how you like your boots to run. The color is very unique and I love how there are some dark and light patches. The leather is very soft and the inside lining is very warm. I love that the zipper is in the back. You cannot go wrong with these boots. They are great!

These boots met my expectations (which were high). Fit was perfect, plenty of room in the calf, perfect length and width. I think they will be really comfortable for lots of walking which was the goal. And they look fantastic.

These boots are butter soft, perfect color, perfect fit. Packaged well to protect and sent quickly. I have no regrets.

Love my new Sam Edelman Penny riding boot. If what you're looking for is in fact a RIDING BOOT, then you'll simply love it. Affordable price for a well made boot. What else can you ask for?

These are beautiful boots with extremely soft leather, nicely lined as well. They were a bit dressier than I wanted and not waterproof. They are not too practical for winter, but very nice...

The boot is a little too big and I normally wear a 9. I also must have skinny calves as the opening is too wide at the top compared to other boots. It is a pretty boot though...nice leather.

These boots are my new favorite thing. They are beautiful, high quality leather without a Frye boot price tag. I have narrow heels and with socks, my heels barely slip, the boot shaft keeps my heel in place, super comfortable and my feet are hard to fit. They are great over jeans or tights, just enough stretch to fit over skinny jeans. I wear the whiskey color with black and it looks great.

I have been looking for the perfect boot. It had to be leather (I have a pair made of Chinese plastic and although less expensive, cause my feet and calves to sweat, ew). These fit the bill! Love the soft leather and when I put them on, no squeezing of the bunions! Hooray! I put in an arch support orthotic. Perfect. I have walked a lot in them and NO PAIN. I SIMPLY FOUND THE BOOTS I HAVE DREAMED OF!

More luxurious than depicted in the photo. Absolutely gorgeous boot! And comfortable.

I love these boots but unfortunately have to return them as they are so narrow that I couldn't even get my foot in all the way. "M" width has never given me trouble before so I'm more than a little surprised--and disappointed--that these won't work. Side note, I have athletic calves and when I tried the boots on (after squishing my feet in as far as they could go) barely got the zipper all the way up with a bare leg so there's no way it would have gone up had I been wearing jeans or even leggings. I'm hoping the wide calf, wide width variety (that Zappos unfortunately doesn't carry) will work for me but goodness, Sam Edelman, way to make a girl feel self conscious about the width of her feet!
