With the help of Zappos' excellent staff I found this model in the proper size and width for my feet and am able to take long walks in comfort. I purchased 2 pairs.

I love these shoes...they are the only shoes I wear now. I bought these shoes because I had a part time job that required me to walk for 9 hours 20-25 miles. I was only after a week of working at this job, I realized I need wide shoes and a good pair. I researched a lot on the internet and finally settled on these New Balance wide pair. I love them. I have never spent so much on a pair of shoes, but these are worth every penny. Although I do use an arch support and a gel sole for extra comfort, because I have flat feet.

I bought these shoes for the stiff sole. I have arthritis in my feet and have found these shoes to be the best for walking. I use an orthotic in the shoe.

These shoes were comfortable right out of the box! I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and these shoes really help. I would definitely recommend them.

I have plantar fasciitis and the doctor recommended these shoes. I went to a speciality shoe store first to be fitted and then bought them at Zappos. I saved quite a bit of money. They are very clunky looking, but when you work in retail and are on your feet for eight or more hours, they are a lifesaver. Staff at Zappos were great in helping me with my order when I had questions. I love the staff!

Zappos is great. I ordered shoes and got them right away but they didn't fit so I called Zappos. I found another pair and they credited me for the first pair before I even returned them. I have a lot of problems with my feet but my feet are happy in these shoes. The are soft and comfortable inside and easy to walk in. I love the shoes and Zappos. And free shipping both ways!

I hesitated to buy this shoe after reading several reviews that said the heel slips too much. Since I was desperate for a new walking shoe, I decided to go ahead. First I ordered the style in beige in my usual size, 7 1/2 EEEE. That size feels OK to me and the right heel slips only if I don't tie my shoelaces tight enough. However, after wearing them awhile, I decided to try an experiment in sizing and ordered the black in a 7 EEEE. Well, now I know that in this particular style the size 7 fits me better. The right heel still slips if I don't tie the shoe well enough, but I have had that problem with all shoes for several years. I did have to buy longer shoe laces for this size, but otherwise, I LOVE these shoes. I'm keeping the larger shoes to use during summer months when my feet seem to need a larger size. For my weight and foot shape, I must have New Balance shoes with the SL-2 last, so I am glad these have worked out for me.

I have rhuematoid arthritic feet....Disjointed and deformed, painful to walk. With the wide sizes I can make my orthotic insoles fit. Able to keep walking!

I recently purchased a pair of New Balance walking shoes from Zappos.com and I couldn't be happier. I needed a wide width and this was just the shoe for both comfort and style. I would definitely order from Zappos again.

I am age 68 and have wide feet. I have had a hard time finding shoes to fit me. These shoes are the most comfortable I have had in a long time. Finally a shoe that is wide enough.

I am loving this shoe. I needed a sturdy, leather, supportive shoe that would let me walk comfortably on city as well as country terrain, and the 928 fits the bill. It provides breathability, stability and comfort. I highly recommend it.

These are the perfect New Balance shoes. I am on my feet all day at work, I put the shoes on and they are perfect. They are so comfortable that I just ordered white ones that I cannot wait for them to arrive. Zappos is the only site to order anything and everything from.

I have a very wide foot (2E) and cannot find shoes locally to fit me properly. Recently I purchased 2 pair of the New Balance WW928, one black pair and one white pair. These are without a doubt the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! They are plenty wide and very supportive. I would highly recommend these to anyone and Zappos is a great place to purchase them because of the free shipping and free return.

My husband and I both have feet problems and were looking for comfortable shoes. A friend recommended the New Balance 928, we have never owned shoes this comfortable! The fit is true to size, they have a great arch and are extremely comfortable.

Finally, NB produced this great walking shoe in "mesh" and I love it. It is much cooler, both temperature and looks! I also have the white and black versions, which are also wonderful, but this one works best for our outdoor Arizona morning walks.

These are top-notch walking shoes, and this is the second time I've purchased this particular brand and style. My old ones are still in perfect condition, but unfortunately, my feet are still growing!

These felt a little tight getting on - but very comfortable once I adjusted the laces. A keeper! And I really love that they are made in the USA.

I like the shoes because my feet are very deformed and these are the only ones that really help me walk. My experience with Zappos is terrific! It is the only on-line retailer I'll order from directly, their prices are great and their service is tops.

These are the most comfortable shoes ever! After retiring a few months ago I hadn't worn shoes with any support at all and my feet and heels were killing me! The pain was so bad I could hardly walk. Since my old sneakers were worn out I ordered these...what a difference. The insides are so soft and cushy it's like walking on a cloud. The pain in my heel is almost gone and I wear these almost every day. Love these shoes. Thank you!

First off, I love Zappos and because I have such a wide foot and also have bunions, I need a sneaker that will accommodate both. I work at a job where I am on my feet all day, so comfort is of the utmost to me. This sneaker does all that...I get the width I need, the style that I need to deal with my bunions and it is a stylish sneaker. Sometimes what is offered when you have special requests, is just plain ugly. This sneakers style does it all for me. I ordered extra wide and it is true to size. The front has no stitching where my bunion is, so that makes it comfortable. I order the same style each time. Great sneaker! Also was told by a foot doctor that New Balance was the best for people with problem feet.

I love these shoes! They were comfortable from the beginning. they are very supportive and seem to absorb impact very well. I have problems with my knees and a little with my lower back and hip and these shoes have been very helpful in mitigating some of those problems. I walk every day and I don't want to stop. These shoes are helping me to keep going.

I wear this shoe with an orthotic and it is very comfortable. I can stand and walk for long periods of time.

I bought these shoes due to weight and heel spur issues. I wear them with jeans and, yes, I bought the black. Tired of cleaning white shoes. They do not look bad . . . and they have been heaven. I have bought NB for a long time and will continue to do so. If you are on the fence about purchasing these - go for it. You cannot lose with Zappos’ return policy. I was serious about walking and moving more . . . and these shoes were part of the program. I wanted the support and the stabilization of ankles.

This updated version of the 927 seems to be as well made as the previous, and fits just as well. I need the EE width, and it has plenty of room in the toe box and the heel doesn't slide. The arch support is not too large, not too small, just right. This is the only sneaker I can wear that doesn't aggravate the plantar fasciitis or neuroma I have, I love it!
