Was scared to order this shoe due to me wearing the 927s. The reviews were spot on with the width of this shoe. I usually wear the D but had to go up to the EE width. Over all it still is a great shoe for someone with the square foot. It also is the shoe that takes the orthotics. Thanks to Zappos letting me return shoes. I have ordered just about everything and had to go back to my New Balance. So I ordered more of the 928s. Also I actually like the look of this shoe more than the 927s.

After almost a year of constant pain from plantar fasciitis, I bought these shoes upon the recommendation of a podiatrist. They have provided major relief and enable me to walk several miles at a time with no pain. They're not exactly stylish, but I don't care.

I find this shoe to be a half size smaller than my other shoes I purchase but is a very well made and supported shoe. I have been purchasing this shoe in different numbers for years.

Only shoes I can find that are comfortable. I wear extra wide and need a wide toe box. I also need the cushioning in the heel for a bone spur. I find them very comfortable

I have worn New Balance shoes for years--size 10 Narrow. I remove the foot bed and put in my own orthodics. I have suffered from flat feet for a long time and this really helped in any of the New Balance models. However, I am 71 years old and have hip and knee problems now, too. I am making an effort to avoid surgery with my lap swimming to which I have had to be extremely faithful. That's another story. The stabilizing factor on these have helped me to reduce or, at times, eliminate pain. I would be much less ambulatory without this shoe, even with another model. Now when I put on my 811's which I believe NB replaced with the 812, I can feel a very big difference, having leg and hip pain beginning almost immediately (on a short walk from the bedroom to the kitchen, for instance). Yes. I am in rather bad shape. Without this wonderful shoe, I certainly would be doing a lot worse. By the way, even with the narrow width, I don't have the heel fit problem that some other reviewers have mentioned. The good thing about Zappos is their very easy return policy and great attitude.

I've been wearing New Balance shoes for many years because they have so many styles in a narrow width. Surprisingly, this pair of shoes was too narrow. I returned them and got another pair in a medium width and they are very comfortable.

Very comfortable shoes! I wear them all day almost every day, and my feet feel great. I've had trouble lately finding decent walking shoes that aren't crazy colors and that look ok for wearing to work. These are perfect. I would definitely buy them again.

Best shoes ever. This is the third pair of NB I have ordered, they last a long time, I still have one old pair for hacking around, and my new pair when I want to look better. Wide box (where your toes go) allowed me to wear them 12 hours a day walking around the hospital. Good shoes.

I always order this shoe since I wear a brace. It offers good cushioning and strong ankle and arch support - just what I need.

I got the sneakers a few months ago and wear them every day of work they are so comfortable you hardly know you have then on, before these I was wearing a Sketchers same with but not the comfort and your feet need to be comfortable your your just not I recommend these to any one who is on their feet all day, great for long walks too I will never get any other sneaker these are really good.

As a nurse working 12 hour shifts I found these shoes very comfortable. I used to roll my ankles all the time, but with these shoes my foot is more stable. I also have minimal foot and leg fatigue at the end of shift.

My order arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I have had the opportunity to speak with Zappo's customer service, WOW!!!, not only do they know their product but you are treated with such great respect!! Wish other companies followed their example. One of the best places I have every dealth with and will continue to order.

The shoe has some good points but one not so good. The tongue on the right shoe keeps moving to the inside, and I have to either let it be or pull it back to the middle. If I let it be, the tongue sometimes causes pain to the leg bone as I walk. And too, it simply may be that this is not the best shoe for my feet. I wear my orthopedic inserts with these shoes, so I cannot judge arch support. I had to return one pair and reorder in my normal shoe size. It has ample toe room. The best feature on this shoe is that the heel is squared off; it is wide at the back and that gives great support in the heel when walking. Overall, it is a pretty good shoe. I have knee problems and occasional plantar fasciitis so needed a good walking shoe. However, I probably would not buy these shoes again if I had known about the tongue problem. I do not believe that they have the quality of my former pairs of New Balance; I have owned three previous pairs. But does anything have its former quality!!

Love these shoes! I first discovered them at a local New Balance store and now just pick out the number of the shoe and my size, order them from Zappos and I'm done! They arrive the next day and no muss, no fuss.

These shoes did not disappoint. They are well made and very comfortable with all the padding they provide. The toe box is spacious enough to accommodate my extra wide feet and long toes. They are a delight to wear.

I have knee problems and this shoe works well for me. It does take me about a week to break in but is comfortable after that. It is very durable. This is my second pair.

I am 70 years old, 5' 5", weigh 175 lbs. and am not in bad condition as I swim laps 4 or 5 times a week. I wear orthotics and have arthritis in both hips and knees. I have a lot of pain in my left knee and shin. I have lower back bone loss. I used to wear the New Balance 812 with my orthotics and they were very good. However, the 928 is unbelievable, supporting my problems better than any shoe I have ever purchased. I have them in tan (which is suede) and also black leather. Because they seem to align my most troublesome leg from hip to foot, I find that I get more pain relief from this model than any of the others I have tried over the last 10 years. They were comfortable from day 1 and have very simple design lines. I wear a 10AA.

The first time I put these shoes on, I walked 2 miles. They felt great right off the bat. Lots of toe room, and they felt really good. I ordered 2 more pairs. Love them!

I have been using the 927s for years but recently found out that I am a supinator, not a pronator as the 927s are designed for, so I am going to try the 928s for the first time since they are designed for supination, unlike the 927s. The 928s are not upgrades, they are for a different type of gait.

I love these sneakers! The only issue I have is with my inserts my feet push forward and my toes become crowded, I would love a wider toebox. Zappos and New Balance have always worked well for me.

Wonderful shoe! My feet are so hard to fit and I wear orthotics. Zappos is so patient, I order a lot of shoes as I continually search for good shoes. This pair fits the bill! Great toe room/ great support/wish it was prettier but I am happy to find a great pair anyway. It is easy on my old feet/arches and I walked better in them so my sore knees held up a little better. Give them to me in brown suede and I will dance a jig.

Very comfortable. Helped a lot with over pronation and plantar fascitis. Can be in them all day with little to no pain.

These shoes finally help my feet, True to form fit and very comfortable. I've tried 9 pair of shoes in similar styles and this one won my choice.

I love these shoes. I can walk on my treadmill and in the world without much trouble from my plantar fascia. These work better than the ones I got from the local orthotic shoe store and cost less.
