Finally, I have found a pair of tennis shoes with a wide toe area. I wear a brace for foot drop and this shoe in width 2E accommodates my brace better than any others I have tried. I have two pairs...one for every day and one for golfing. Hopefully New Balance won't change this shoe like they have so many others. I also wear orthotics and this shoe works well with them. It is a very good shoe for wide feet and spacious toe area.

The wide widths in the 928s are not wide in the toe like the 927. I need the room in the toe, so these do not work. Since every other athletic shoe brand is also narrow in the toe, this change in New Balance is a real loss. Also, the new "D" width is narrower than the 927 D. The soft fabric lining is very nice. I wish they fit me.

After trying and failing with the 1540's as a replacement for my beloved 1123's, I read a Zappos review about the 928. It's almost the shoe the 1123 was and I can feel the tendonitis caused by the 1540's slowing receding. Like many others, I am constantly walking or standing for 11 hours a day at my business. Good shoes are imperative. Many thanks to Zappos for the support they tried to give me with the 1540.

I have always worn New Balance, as I have severe joint problems and for me, I can walk in the shoes without swaying back and fourth so much, and I don't think the shoes are ugly at all, in fact they go well with everything, and I like they don't look so much like sneakers, they have a little style.

Purchased this shoe and took them to a local New Balance store, they fit me perfect and treated the Nubeic Leather to avoid spots and staining, you can also treat them yourself with Scotch Guard. Mine look very nice on. I have had Brooks and for the first 3 months they felt great, but then my feet really began to hurt, so for me No more Brooks, also I have had my family Doctor, and my Ortho doc, recommend the New Balance for anyone with joint problems which I have a lot of, I am very Happy and can walk with less pain.

This shoe was recommended to me by a foot specialist that fitted me for a foot brace for drop foot to be worn with this shoe. It has certainly proved to be a great purchase and has greatly improved my stability, balance and gait.

My wife is very happy with the New Balance shoes - she has a small wide foot which is what I ordered and they fit true to size. As usual Zappos came through with fast delivery before Christmas.

Since suffering from plantar fascia, these shoes were recommended. Since wearing these I have not had problems in over a year. These are the most comfortable walking shoe I've owned. I am now on my 3rd pair. They are pricey. That is my only complaint.

A little clunkier and heavy from my usual running shoes I wear at work but surprisingly super comfortable. I like the tan color. I think they look sort of orthopedic but cute!

I have waited years for this shoe to be sold in this color in my 11AA size. Thank you New Balance for making it, and Zappos for selling it.

I like NB running and walking shoes because they come in narrow sizes. The SL2 last, which has a narrow heel, deep toe box, and wide forefoot, fits my foot the best. The 928 has a SL2 last, like the 570 series walking shoes. I really like the color of the suede. It looks much better than it does in the photo.

Very comfy shoes! The mesh really helps your foot breath vs the non-mesh same style that I used to get. Easier to break in.

These are the best shoes I've ever owned. I'm a waitress, so I'm on my feet all day, and I've tried so many other styles of shoe, but nothing compares to the sheer comfort of these. Great for working out, too! I highly recommend these shoes to anyone! As a bonus, the look very nice, as well!

This shoe was recommended to me as the best style for plantar fascia. It is so very comfortable, I bought 2 pairs, the white and the tan so they will last a long time. I can walk all day with no pain. They are just great!

This is my 1st pair of New Balance, anything. I always read the reviews, so that I can decide if I even want to try something. My foot Dr. recommended NB, because I need the balance and support they offer. I've had them for a few weeks, and find them to be outstanding. Zappos is great, prices and shipping can't be beat.

I have a fused right ankle and extreme pronation on both feet. This shoe allows me to walk more normally with less pain. It has a straight last that enables me to navigate the subways.

These shoes are great. My foot doctor recommended them as I was having trouble with hurting feet. I walk a lot and these are wonderful.

I wear NB almost exclusively because it comes in narrow widths. I got these shoes in white mesh about six months ago and they are the most comfortable walking shoes I have ever worn! I had to add heel pads which isn't unusual for me, but otherwise they fit perfectly. I would wear them all the time if I could! In fact I have now been buying Aravon shoes for "real shoes" and love most of them as well. I prefer a very cushioned walk and these are the best!

Doing business with Zappos is a pleasure! Unlike many other stores, internet sites, and outlets, Zappos had my size -- 10EE! -- in the desired model. Love the ventilated upper part and that the shoe is wide enough. The newer New Balance shoes are too narrow for me. Haven't found another shoe that is wide enough.

Like other reviewers, I wore 927 in the past. I didn't notice these shoes were wider in the heel nor did I encounter any of the other issues mentioned, but I wear them with orthotics and cushioned socks.

Really nice shoe. Improvements are nice from the 927 model. Very safe and secure shoe, and very comfortable. Highly recommended if you are on your feet for an extended period of time.

I purchased two pairs of these shoes; white for home, and black for work. I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. With these shoes, I absolutely have no more pain. The price I paid for them were a bit cheaper than many other places that I checked out.
