I absolutely love these boots! They are exactly as pictured. I had ordered several different brands of less expensive boots in search of the perfect ones, and didn't like any of them. These cost more than I wanted to spend, but they are worth every penny! The leather is so soft. The first few times I wore them I had trouble with the zipper being difficult, and they rubbed a raw spot on the back of my ankle. But after wearing them 3 or 4 times, both problems completely went away. I wear these boots 3-4 times a week, and get lots of compliments!

Excellent boot! I'm kind of between a 6.5 and 7 shoe and had previously purchased a 6.5 which fits great. I would recommend maybe going up a 1/2 size if you want a less form fitting boot. It molds perfectly to my foot, but if you want to wear a heavier sock, then go up a bit. Excellent construction you expect from Frye and wears beautifully. Well worth the money for this boot, as you'll have a lifetime.

I bought these as a Christmas gift for my spouse. They are amazing. The leather is exactly what I was hoping forâ?¦great boot! True to size and the color is beautiful.

I love them! I purchased both the black soft vintage and the stoned antique. I returned the stoned antique because I did not like the fact that although the rest of the hardware is silver toned, the back zipper is more coppery colored. It is silver on the soft vintage. The soft vintage is also cut a bit more narrow in the calf, which fit better on my skinny legs.

These boots are gorgeous! As far as sizing, I did have to return my normal 7.5 size for an 8. Also, if you have larger/athletic calves, they may be too narrow for you. I have pretty thin calves and w/my skinny jeans, they are quite snug, which I love, but others may have to order a wide-calf version. The back zipper is very cool and people ask all the time where I got them. Zappos is the best!

I bought these boots as a Christmas surprise for my 21 year old daughter. She put them on Christmas morning and has been wearing them everywhere. They are so beautiful! The leather is rich and soft and she swears by their comfort. This boot has the narrowest shaft of any Frye boot, and that's perfect for her thin legs and skinny jeans. Zappos was was wonderful, as usual, prompt, courteous, and expert service! I was thrilled to give my daughter something she didn't need to return!

Love, love, love these boots! They are true to size and are perfect for my thin legs! I also have them in the grey, which is really more if a taupe. Very pleased and highly recommend.

Absolutely love these boots. I ordered both the dark brown and the distressed dark brown (too distressed for me, so back they went). Love the dark brown color. These boots fit true to size. I'm an 8 and they fit great. My most comfortable Fryes yet. I have two other pairs that I like very much, but these are fantastic. I know they are expensive, but you won't regret it!

I just adore these boots - got them in black and then immediately ordered in brown as well. I find myself wearing one of the pairs every single day. They are incredibly comfortable and look great with a variety of outfits (especially love the back zipper). I have been a loyal Frye boot customer for many years due to the high quality and reasonable pricing, and these boots are by far my favorite.

I received these boots as a surprise Christmas gift from my husband. They are wonderful boots. They look nice and fit great! Worth every dime!

I've tried on so many brands of knee high boots that I was about to give up on ever finding a pair that fit properly. I had difficulty finding a pair that fit in the shaft area. Almost all were to wide/large which caused my foot to slip up & down the footbed causing blisters. Frye boots do have a narrow shaft, these boots are very true to size. The boots are beautiful! Very we'll made and the leather on the shaft is so soft. I had a little difficulty with the zipper but it got easier with more wear. I found that the straighter my leg was when zipping the easier it was.

These are great boots! I have never put boots on that fit as well as these did. I usually order a 7 or 7½ but the 7½ fit perfectly and I do not even need to add an insole. I have narrow feet and usually have to add insoles or extra socks to make boots fit. But these were perfect!

I am a solid size 7.5 in all of my boots, but did have to return these for an 8 so i say go up a 1/2 size. I purchased the dark brown vintage leather, they are stunning! The smell of the leather is far superior to any other boots/shoes i own, the heel is sturdy/well made, they are just an all around gorgeous boot. Love them w/my skinny jeans and receive compliments every time i wear them. Yes, the back zipper needs to be handled w/kid gloves, just move it slowly and be patient, it loosens up over time. I never regret a purchase from Frye, quality is top notch and worth every penny.

These are beautiful boots! The leather is very soft and the boot is very comfortable. I get compliments every time I wear them. The can be a bit difficult to zip up and down, hoping it gets easier with time.

Gorgeous, high quality and perfect in every way EXCEPT one...my athletic calf was more than she could hold (or zip over for that matter.) The circumference measurement for this boot was 15 inch and my calf measured right at that, so I would say it runs small in that respect. I hate to, but I must return.

Love these boots! I found these boots to be comfortable right out of the box. Was worried about the back zipper after reading the reviews,but I worked the zipper several times before putting them on and I have not had any problems. Lots of compliments on these boots as well. The dark brown vintage was not as chocolate/brown as I was expecting, it has a slight burgundy tint to it. I called Zappos and naturally, they sent me the cognac color (my second choice) right away! I decided on the dark brown after all as I was looking for a simple, classic boot to wear with leggings and skinny jeans. The cognac was gorgeous,but I have some other boots similar in nature and I felt they had more of a western look in the cognac color. The leather has started to stretch after just a few wears, so take that into consideration. I normally wear an 11 in most styles of Frye boots and that was the better fit for me in these as well. Eventually, I will buy these in another color. I think anyone on the fence with these boots will be very happy when you decide to purchase!

This is my second pair of Frye boots. To be honest, I was a little less than impressed with my first pair, so I was hesitant to purchase these. However, I loved the way they looked and decided to give them a try. I am so happy I did. These boots are so stylish. They are sturdy and hug your leg. No sagging whatsoever. As others have said, the zipper does take a little while to loosen up, but it does loosen up.

I absolutely love these boots! They run true to size and are comfy enough to wear for hours. I have rather narrow calves and feet, and they fit perfectly. There's room to tuck in skinny jeans or leggings, but they're not too wide to wear with just socks or tights.

I love these boots. They are worth the money because I know I'll have the for years! I have a high in-step and had a little trouble zipping them the 1st one or two times. They are fine now and they look great.

I ordered these boots in cognac and I absolutely LOVE them. They fit true to size and you get what you pay for. They look and feel beautiful. I especially like the firm fit around the calf, not too loose, not too tight.

Best boots I have ever owned! Every time I wear them I get compliments. The patina is gorgeous and they look lived in when you get them. They look equally wonderful with black as well brown clothing. So versatile that you can wear with jeans or a dress. Love these boots!

Love everything about this boot, feels great and looks great! They do feel snug at first but after wearing them for couple days they are perfect! The grey vintage color is a taupe color which goes perfect with brown and gray, a very versatile color!

These boots are so amazing. They are very well built with the highest quality leather. I am crying that my calves are too muscular and I cannot get them zipped up. Frye, please make wide calf boots!

Let me just say I am a boot collector. I love boots. I wanted a pair of Fryes for a long time and finally just bought these. I've been wearing them non-stop. I had to break them in a bit since the leather is thick and stiff, but I look forward to years of wear. They go with everything. The foot bed is snug while the leg shaft is looser. I am 5' tall at 115 pounds, thin legs. So, I've been wearing thin socks with leg warmers and jeans - I love it. They feel very cowgirl, you can go horseback riding (Western style) or just go out with these darlings. They are not plush inside, don't expect padding and fur. They are classic old-fashioned leather boots, just quality leather with a well-assembled footbed. I usually wear a size 6 and that's what I ordered. Although they are a bit large, I don't think I would've gotten my foot into anything smaller.

I absolutely love these boots! This is my sixth pair of Fryes! They are super cute and look fabulous! They are very comfortable, too! I have foot issues and the Fryes that I have purchased do not hurt my feet! If you are hesitating on these do not as you will not be sorry that you bought them!
