Shoes are extremely comfortable and live up to the standards of Merrell. Zappos is the best place to buy shoes or anything else. Excellent service. Will continue to purchase from Zappos and recommend them highly to anyone.

I tried many other brands because I have trouble getting shoes to fit correctly. Right out of the box it felt like it was made for my foot.No bottom of the ankle rubbing etc. The support was right on, just enough for my high arches. Have not really tested the waterproofing. I'm sure with the Gore-tex it will be fine. This is by far the best shoe of this style I have ever owned. I wear these everywhere. They have become my favorite shoes. I highly recommend.

his is a first time buy of a Merrell shoe for me. I intend to use this shoe for winter walking. The fit is consistent with my shoe size. The Moab XCR is comfortable right out of the box. The gore tex keeps me dry, even walking through standing water. These Merrells give all appearances of being a great shoe!

Great shoe!\r\n\r\nI have a wide foot and because of a toe problem need a stiff sole.\r\n\r\nThis shoe is very comfortable. The sole is stiff enough to offer comfort yet not as stiff as traditional hiking boots so the shoe can be worn for everyday use.\r\n\r\nIf your foot is between sizes I would order the larger size.\r\n\r\nI highly recommend this shoe.\r\n

My husband saw these in an REI store first and tried them on. His normal size was too small so we purchased one full size larger. He loves them and wears them all the time.

I had a hard time deciding on these shoes at first, because I had read several bad reviews. However, after reading reviews on multiple shoes I realized that in general shoes do not seem to have an "across the board" rating. So to possibly help someone else make the best possible decision I am 5'8", 150 lbs, wear a size 9, and have flat feet. Okay, so I put these on and they felt very comfortable, no rubbing, no blisters, they were ready to go. Wore them to work the next day and my feet still felt great at the end of an 8 hour day (I basically set up tables and chairs all day, I'm always on my feet). The shoes grip very well. Also, it has literally rained for two days straight here and I have not had any leaks. I am taking them out on a 2 day hiking trip next week, I will revise if necessary. Love the shoes so far and Zappos is the best!

Great shoe. I have wide feet and though it is a "wide" model and not a 4E, it fits better than any 4E shoes I tried (mostly New Balance). I've had great luck with all the Merrell line of shoes.

Love these shoes. They are very comfortable and offer a lot of support. I live in a warm climate and the shoes are very breathable. I highly recommend them.

This is the only time I have been able to find a hiking shoe in a wide size. What an enormous difference for my feet. Previously, normal width shoes caused me to suffer from Morton's neuroma, a burning sensation in the flat of the foot. It is no longer a problem with the wide size available in the Merrell Moab. Very highly recommended to those with wide feet.

These are my all time favorite work shoes. I have been wearing Merrells for years. I love that they are gore-tex. I am on my feet all day on concrete and they keep my feet dry and comfortable.

Merrells were not available; used email notification to let me know when new stock arrived. 2 weeks later email notified me that Merrells were in stock; placed order. In hands within 3 days. Merrells are the best shoe I have ever owned. Gore-Tex is great, no wet feet. This is my 5th pair of Merrell Moabs. Fantastic company, will absolutely place future orders.

I bought these Merrells to wear as my primary weekend shoe for New England winters. These shoes seemed to have the right combination of everything I was looking for, including the Gore-Tex lining. At first I was concerned with the snug fit of the toe box but after a couple of of nights with a shoe horn and a couple of wearings, I'm pleased with the fit of these. Kudos goes out to Zappos for their speedy shipping. I ordered at 9 pm and received by noon the next day; that was with their standard shipping!

These are the most comfortable shoes I can remember owning. The fit is perfect (glad I went with the Wide). I've only had them about a month, but I wore them on a hike in the hills of Belize (on a rainy day) let them air dry, brushed them off and they look like new again.

I bought these shoes for my husband. He works outside and is tough on shoes. The waterproofing is great and they hold up to the wear and tear. This is his second pair, he likes them so much.

Out of the box comfortable for hiking, did not need the usual 'break in' period. Biggest advantage of the XCR is that it's made with GoreTex and is waterproof, nice for light snow or sloppy conditions. Highly recommended.

My second pair of Merrell Moab XCRs. Very good shoe for waliking the dog rain or shine. GoreTex lining keeps my feet dry. With the rubber toe I can kick the tennis ball for fido, and not worry about scuff marks.\r\nZappos was great to deal with, got my shoes in a timely fashion. More shoes to come from Zappos for me.

I've had a few pair of Merrell hiking boots which I've been pleased with, so when I was looking for a pair of low trail/hikers that were still waterproof, I first checked Merrell. While it is most often dry/dusty in AZ where I hike, a lot of the trail shoes use a fabric which while makes the shoe cooler, it also allows for the fine dust to get into the shoe and your socks then are filthy. That's the main reason I went the waterproof, and I haven't been disappointed with the Moab XCR. I've worn daily on my 1 hour hike I do each morning for the past couple months and am pleased. I would even consider buying a 2nd pair for when these wear out. They are slightly warmer than those with more breathable materials, but for me, they are exactly what I was looking for.

These are the best shoes I have owned to date. I use them primarily for disc golf and they would be great for geo-caching. They provide stable traction in muddy conditions and keep my feet very dry. I feel confident scaling uphill and down. They are sturdy and provide nice arch support. They also work well on cement and are comfortable for walking and casual wear. The shoes started out a little stiff, but I wore them for a couple rounds of disc golf and they now feel like they hug my feet well. These shoes have a padded insert that can shift a little during a round of disc golf, but I like that it is not glued into place so it can be easily adjusted by hand if needed without ruining the inside of the shoe. This may be due to the fact that my left foot is a size smaller than my right. I played in a disc-golf tournament recently and saw many players wearing Merrells. I normally wear size 14E shoes, but I purchased these in size 15D and I am happy with how they fit. I don't care about style too much, but I think these shoes look nice and serve a purpose.

This is a great shoe! I own and work in a shop that requires walking on concrete all day. I used to be a strictly work boot guy but since I have discovered these I have been much happier and my lower back has been in better shape as well. I bought five pairs and put them up in the closet so that I will have them available for a good long time.

Great shoe! Lightweight, extremely comfortable, and with outstanding tread. I have a very high arch, so I have to put an arch insert in, but that is my fault... not the shoe! Would recommend without any reservations.

I tried on several medium shoes and boots and they were always a bit too tight. When this wide Merrell Moab showed up, it fit perfectly the minute I put it on. So, if you're looking for a wide, comfortable, nice looking, everyday hiking (or just wearing) shoe, this is one is awesome.

I spent two weeks hiking in China with these shoes and they worked great. I was walking both in cities and in the countryside, and while I had no problems, they really do seem more suited for trail hiking instead of walking around on paved sidewalks. They have an aggressive tread and are very sturdy, which means that they're heavier than tennis shoes, but that's to be expected. I would buy them again for weekend/day hikes.

Great hiking shoe. I am an active geocacher. I don't always want to wear hiking boots. These are a great alternative. They have held up well with continuing abuse.

Great for camping - I wore these to a camp out the day after I got them. Wore them three days straight outside on my feet most of the time. They were very comfortable. They are now my casual shoe of choice for anything from camping to running errands. I bought these because they come in a wide width. Regular width shoes are always too tight but these fit great. Great shoe.
