I love these shoes - perfect work shoes for those in the field. I am on my feet all day. These comfy shoes keep my feet free from pain and dry in the rain.

Great shoe. Just bought my second pair after my first ones finally bit the dust. This is the only shoe I have ever done a 100% repeat purchased. Light. Stays dry even when water is dumped on you. Buy a half size bigger! I have worn a 10.5 my whole life but the last two pairs of these I've gotten an 11.0. You will enjoy.

I bought a pair for my husband, he liked them so much I bought a pair for my son. They are active in Boy Scouts and planning a big hike soon. I found they loved these shoes, they fit their needs perfectly.

Really waterproof! I read that they required no break in, and was skeptical, but it really is true. Awesome shoe.

Love this shoe, felt good right out of the box. The style is such that they can be worn as an everyday shoe not only for hiking. Zappos rocks, I love the ease and quickness of shopping with them.

Pluses: 1. These shoes have particularly wide soles, which have probably saved me from injury. The soles keep my feet from ever coming down on their outer edges (supination) and injuring my ankles. 2. Until they wear out, these shoes are pretty close to waterproof, but they feel reasonably breathable. Minuses: 1. I don't find these shoes to be the most comfortable, although they did get better with time as they molded to my feet. 2. Not cheap. For me, the pluses were paramount, and so I recommend these shoes. I am now on my second pair.

I love these shoes, the are one of the few that fit my orthotics. I am pain free with these. I did have to get one size larger, probably due to the orthotics. They breathe reasonably well, I am sure the non Gore-Tex version would breathe extremely well. This is the most rugged sole I have seen on a pair of Merrells. Hopefully it will not wear down before the rest of the shoe, as has been the case with my other Merrells.

I spend time in the mountains native trout fishing. These shoes are excellent camp shoes and great for hiking. Very comfortable with great all-around structural foot support.

This is the second pair of this style that I have owned. These are in a different color. The first pair lasted close to two years of daily wear. They were super comfortable, waterproof (up until the end), lightweight, and looked great. These are highly recommend.

I purchased 5 pairs of different trail running shoes to try on including New Balance, North Face, & La Sportiva and these were the most comfortable. support. What impressed me the most compared to the other brands is how my ankle stayed put and did not slide or move when I walked or ran. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for good ankle support in a low cut shoe. Thanks to Zappos I was able to return the other 4 pairs without issue.

I am hard on shoes. I treat 'em rough and hardly ever baby 'em. But this shoe, well this shoe I just want to take up in my arms and love forever. It is by far the best shoe I have ever owned. I buy two pairs at a time. I wear them everywhere for everything I do. It's damn hard to blow them out! But alas I always do. Then I just buy another pair or two and start all over again. Without a doubt the best shoe I have ever owned. Thank you.

These are great. They tilt outward laterally for a very slight pronation correction. But don't worry if you don't pronate (I actually supinate) they still work great. They're classy: no gelatinous veins or inexplicable webbing on the surface. They don't "scream" like so many of these kinds of shoes do, which means you can wear them with street clothes and not look like a clown. The main color of the non-meshed part is chocolate brown, though it looks black in the picture. They follow the contours of your foot; the tread grabs in a nice rolling way with your step. Haven't tried the woods with them yet, but I'm sure they'll be great on hikes. Best of all they come in wide sizes. If you usually wear a half-size up in normal widths to accommodate wide feet, then you might want to order the wide size and stay a half-size up anyway (Merrells run small these days). Highly recommended.

Great cushioning; using for construction work. Not too heavy, but very comfortable. Glad to have a wide width choice.

Excellent shoe. I am in sales and on my feet all day. The only small drawback is that it is a little warm in the summer. I highly reccomend this shoe and also am a huge fan of Zappos.

Great overall shoes. Super comfortable right out of the box to wear all day. Good support in a light shoe, great for summer hikes or long walks. I've been using Merrell for years and so far have not been disappointed. Very comfortable and durable shoes.

This was the first pair of this type of active wear I have purchased. I had tried other brands on which said size 15 but were Euro size 48. The Merril\'s are a true Euro 50 and US 15. In my case this did make a significant difference and I am taking them with me for a ten day stint in California. Very nice brand.

Great shoes! My first pair of Merrell's are instant favorites. The fit is great. Having a size 13 shoe, they actually make my feet look not quite so large. I had intended on wearing these for trail shoes, so I may get the non-Gore-Tex version for run around shoes. The heel is very well cushioned and steps are well supported. Incredibly comfortable. If you’re hesitating because of the price, don't! These are worth the money paid. Oh, and Zappos had my order here on Monday, that was placed on Saturday! That's crazy fast.

I found these to be great shoes, especially as they were one of the few I could find in wide. I just came back from a trip and wore them around the rough volcanic terrain of the Galapagos Islands and then used them on the worksite for Habitat for Humanity. The waterproofing worked great as well, keeping my feet dry during wet landings and while mixing cement. Through it all, these shoes have held together great and I would definitely buy them again.

Great boot. Zero break in time. I needed these for a last minute trip to Machu Picchu. It rained the entire time on the trail. Didn't get the toes wet once. These boots were mighty comfy from first wear.

This is my 2nd pair of Merrell shoes and the fit is right on size. You will not be disappointed in the feel of these shoes once you get the fit right, as they are very comfortable. I haven't put them through the paces yet, but based on my first pair lasting me well over 4 years I have high expectations. The look on these is great, as they not only work for outside expedition type sports, but also go with jeans/khaki's for a casual night out.

I've owned many low-top hikers over the years, this Merrell is up there with the best. Comfortable from the moment I bought them and put them on. Great features (Gore-Tex and Vibram). Laces up nice and high with plenty of eyelets. I wear arch supports in ALL of my shoes anyway and this shoe accommodated them just fine. I ended up with a 1/2 size larger than I normally wear, but I think that is just American vs. European sizing that the shoe companies assign. I tried a comparable pair of Keen's and returned them the next day. Overall, these Merrell's fit well, feel strong, and are at a decent price.

1st Zappos is the best. I ordered somewhere around 8 at night and they were at my doorstep the next day. I couldn’t believe how fast I got them. 2nd the shoes. I usually wear a New Balance 12EE. I tried some of these on at stores and found a 13E is a real good fit. That is what I ordered and the fit for me is the best I have ever had with a shoe. It is snug around my foot and there is a lot of room for my toes. Some would say it is probably too much room, but for me I like it. I haven’t tried a lot of different brands, but these are definitely the most comfortable I have ever put on. I have done a little walking/hiking, but not a lot so I can’t comment on long term use. The tread is great, nice and deep, and they work great in the snow. A little snow anyway because your feet will get wet. I WILL buy Merrell again hopefully the size is consistent with all their shoes.

I have purchased at Zappos.com previously. It is one of the the most positive e-commerce experiences. I got the shoes I wanted in the the style I prefer and size I need at a discount, without paying postage and minimal tax - delivered to my door. What more could I ask for?

So far this shoe has performed as described. I bought them as a winter casual shoe that will transform into a summer camping shoe. Very comfortable and enjoyable shoe so far (about 2 months). FYI, the normal width felt too narrow to me, I got the wide size which feels better.
