Great shoe! These came in right before the big snow storm in north Texas. I wore these with some blue jeans while sledding and playing in the snow all day. After four hours of rolling in the snow, my feet were completely dry and I never once felt the cold. I highly recommend these. I’ll be buying another pair in a different color.

Great shoes! I love them. I wear an 11 in most of my other shoes but needed 11.5 in these. They are great for the messy weather. Super comfortable. Great shoe for the trails. Can’t believe how warm they are, even though they are so breathable. I walk the dog when its 10 or 20 degrees and my feet are always warm. Probable wouldn’t be the best if you were not going to be moving and were sitting in 10 degree weather.

I ordered these Merrell shoes for my husband for Christmas. He was so pleased with the quality and the fit that we ordered another pair. Zappos mailed them out so quick that I am extremely pleased and will definitely go to Zappos again for shoes.

Thus far, these shoes have been great. I have not gotten the chance to do any long range hiking in them, but they have performed very well in the snow and the Gore-Tex has seriously done well.

These are lightweight, comfortable, not too hot, and waterproof. All that and they look good. They are not too edgy, just nice looking.

I bought these as a gift for my husband. He loves them; he wears them every day. They are lightweight and comfortable, and run true to size.

I love these shoes. Excellent fit, comfortable and they are waterproof. They do seem to run about a half a size small. I normally wear a size 11 in Merrell, but I had to go to 11.5 for the right fit.

These shoes fit right out of the box first time. No need to reorder to get a good fit! The arch support is so good and I did not have to use my custom orthodontics. This is an outstanding shoe to wear in Florida when its not too hot. I have worn them for one month now. I've noticed my back is less out of whack from my last two visits to my chiropractor. I will buy more. They are much better than my NB shoes. I bought these because of the high number of good ratings. I am sixty-seven years old.

The Merrell Moab is an excellent shoe. It is very comfortable as I wore it on an all day hike two days after I received it. Zappos is a great way to go for ordering and with a full warranty return if you don't like it, you cant go wrong.

These shoes are great. I just bought my second pair I was so pleased with the first. I wear these shoes everyday to work outside in the forest/jungle. These shoes are light, athletic, comfortable, and WATERPROOF. The best combination in my opinion. The damp grass in the mornings does not leave me miserable all day with wet socks anymore. Zappos is awesome too. Ordered these shoes at noon on Thursday and mentioned I was hoping to have them for a weekend trip to Alaska. They sent the shoes free overnight shipping and I had them before noon on Friday! It blew my mind how that\'s even possible! Then to top off the great experience I received a hand written thank you note from the girl that took my order. Zappos is the best place to buy shoes!

Let me tell you about an amazing customer experience from Zappos. \r\n\r\nI needed new hiking shoes for a hiking trip later this summer. I actually went to another store to buy these shoes, but the store did not have my size in stock. I looked them up on Zappos around 10:00 PM and made the purchase. I selected standard shipping because it was free and I wasn\'t in that huge of a rush. \r\n\r\nI got the shoes next day. LESS THAN 24 HRS!!!!\r\nI was impressed!

Awesome. I accidently fell into a creek with these and my feet barely got wet...after a few days they were like new again! Very comfortable. The laces don\'t stay tied...but double knotting works.

Just got back from Hawaii after testing out the shoes on some pretty rough terrain. I purchased three pairs (for myself and two teenage sons). We were all very impressed. The shoes were comfortable, even though we didn't have much break-in time. Excellent traction on slippery surfaces, and we did not feel pointed stones through the sole. No one got a blister even after a 5-hour strenuous hike on the Napali coast on day 2. They kept our feet dry from outside shallow water sources, however all of us thought that our feet felt hot when wearing the shoes even indoors.

Runs super long, I would go down 1/2 to a full size. Was not that comfortable walking around the house. Very stiff.

Unfortunately, I had to return these shoes right away, even though I liked them a lot. The reason being that Zappos sent me a pair of shoes that have been returned: they came in a generic, unmarked box, and they had some tell-tale signs they had been worn before (light stains and dust). I called customer service within minutes to find out whether or not the shoes I was sent were returns, and Edgar (cs rep) confirmed that they were most likely returns, hence the lack of the original Merrell box. He even said that even if I requested an exchange, Zappos could not guarantee I'd receive brand-new shoes. Call me picky and unreasonable, but if I pay $140 for a pair of shoes, I expect to receive exactly that: brand-new, unopened, unworn shoes. If this is the way Zappos does business now, they have lost a customer. About the shoes, even though I only wore them for about 10 minutes, they seemed well made, comfortable and true to size, length-wise. They did seem a bit narrow, though, as my feet are fairly narrow and there didn't seem to be a lot of room on the sides. Maybe the shoes just need to be broken in a bit. The shoes seemed quite stiff and so they may/may not work for you depending on how firm you like your shoes. I'll be buying these shoes elsewhere, even if it means paying a bit more, and you'd be advised to do the same unless you want to wear shoes that may have been returned.

8.5 Wide because of the structure of the shoe, it is a bit shorter than the Rover, although the soles are exactly the same. there seems to be less room in the inside as well. I had already ordered a half size larger, maybe yet another half size in this model would work, but I went with the Rover.

These feel well constructed, and I'm currently wearing the second pair I've purchased. My only complaint is that they shoelaces they come with have to be the worst shoelaces I've ever had, they just will not stay tied. (I'm here now to order new laces for these.)

The Moabs are comfortable out of the box. My last 2 pair of Merrells were non lace up, so I'll have to get use to tying my strings. It would be much appreciated if Merrell made a better selection available for those of us with wider feet.

These are comfortable. They are perfect for rain or snow days and they add good support for long walks on concrete. The laces keep opening up so you need to double ties them. These are quality shoes.

My second pair of the Merrell Moab. First are hightop and still in use. Well made and will stand up to rugged wear. The one thing that bugs me is the laces. Can't keep em tied...constantly having to tie my shoes. So, I don't like the laces but the shoe is fine.

These are simply an okay shoe, but with a very not okay price. They are hard, flat, and without much cushioning. They do have a wide toe box though which was nice. In the end they were worth less. Not this cost. They were a no-go.

Excellent shoe for not only hiking but yard work and casual wear. This the 2nd pair of these I have purchased in the last 3 years. The first pair still look like new and I have abused them. They run a little wider which is fine with me as I usually wear a 4E. As with all shoe purchases today you have to upgrade the insole which is disappointing for the price.

My husband loved these and said it felt like he was walking on a cloud. However, after about 3 weeks of regular wear, when they were just getting really broken in they started to pinch and press on the top of his foot, right were the toe creases. He's really bummed he cant wear them anymore. I wonder if the Ventilator will do the same thing.

I had trouble finding any reviews directly comparing the Moab Gore Tex with the standard Moab Waterproof. Both are advertised as waterproof - the Gore Tex version has the official licensed Gore Tex, while I gather that the waterproof one is Merrell's own material. I bought the Gore Tex - very nice quality shoes, and fit as I expected. What I found, however, is that the Gore Tex upper is quite stiff, and makes the shoe feel very stiff. I was in an REI today and tried the regular Waterproof version, and it felt substantially more flexible through the front half of the shoe. If I could do it over again, I'd save the mney and get the more comfortable Waterproof one instead of Gore Tex.
