I'm writing this review on behalf of my husband, who loved these shoes so much, I had to write something. He has been having trouble finding a comfortable, casual walking type shoe, and chose this one because of its color/appearance. The first thing he said when he put it on was, "That Merrell guy really knows what he's doin'!" He wears them all the time and says they're his most comfortable pair of shoes he owns.

Excellent, outdoor, waterproof athletic-style shoe. I've worn Merrell Chameleons for years. The latest model is just too stiff and heavy. These are far better. Lighter and softer, more flexible. They also required little to no break-in period. Excellent disc golf shoes.

I love these shoes! The Moab Gore-Tex offer amazing waterproof hiking shoe that doesn't over heat even in the heat of summer. Felt great right out of the box.

Overall good shoe. I needed a little more support in the arch area, so I added arch support. Other than that just as I expected. Zappos is awesome when it comes to returns. I ordered the wrong size and when I called customer service, they had a new size here in less than 24 hours. That was fast and that is what I call service! I have been recommending Zappos to all my friends.

My wife and I both have been using this particular model shoe for several years now and it fits well and gives great traction/support.

I bought these on a recommendation of a friend whose hiked with his Merrell's a lot. He and I are both in our 50's and need wide widths. Just got back with a group from vacationing in France along the Rhone and Saone Rivers with lots of walking on limestone trails and cobble stone streets. These Merrell's were great. It was very hot (90's), but never really noticed it with my feet. Highly recommended.

Put simply the best shoes I have ever bought. My only grip is that they don't vent all that well making your feet get a bit warm in the summer time. I recommend a good par of socks with some kind of moisture control technology. The ones I would recommend are made by Starter and sold at Walmart for about 4 of 3 pares. I have been buying shoes from Zappos for the last few years and every time I get excellent service. I am always amazed at how fast I get my order. The first time I ordered from them I put the order in at around 8pm at night and found the order on my porch the very next day. From that point on I was hooked on Zappos for life. A friendly word of advice for new shopper, always choose the free shipping because they almost always will up grade you shipping to next day air for free.

Highly recommended kicks. I love these shoes. Not only do they look cool and fit well, but they come in wide sizes to facilitate my 13EEE Chewbacca feet. After I got the first pair I bought another right away before they disappear from stock. Zappos Rules.

Great shoes for me. Waterproof but very light weight and attractive too.

I'm on my feet all day sprinting back and forth from the front to the back of the workshop, about 100 yards long, all day, and my feet are in heaven. These seem like the are holding up well to abuse, but only time will tell with that.

I looked forward to these as I love my Savanah's and they're along the same style. I have arthritis on the top of my right foot, so can't wear a strap over the top of my foot, hence these are a great design for me. They fit great, are really comfortable and look good. The first day I wore them, they caused such huge blister on the bottom of my feet; there's a seem where the beige part of the bottom connects to the black-- that's what caused it. Have tried to wear again, but rubs. If I hadn't worn them I would have returned them, then again wouldn't have know of the problem if I wore them. Too bad, first bad Merrill experience.

Nothing but good things to say about the shoe. Light, comfortable, looks great. Not sure how long they'll last, but am happy about everything so far. Had to exchange them for a half size up, so a special shout out to Zappos for their completely painless exchange policy and procedure; completely eliminates the advantage of brick & mortar retail outlets.

Great shoe. Very comfortable right out of the box. Fit great. I've bought my last 4 or 5 pairs of shoes off of Zappos and tell everyone about how great of a company it is. I will never buy another shoe in a store! This is my first time writing a review and I thought I must do it because I read the reviews of each of the shoes I buy and it helps so much. If you want a light, water proof, comfortable shoe, this is the one for you.

This is the second pair of shoes I've had like these. I love them because they are very comfortable and have a nice stable feeling. I use them to shoot trap in and I can walk and stand all day in them with no problems. Used them in the pouring rain this last weekend and my feet stayed very dry.

Terrific shoe - high degree of stability and the footbed cradles the foot nicely. It is quite waterproof. An excellent shoe for running, walking, and traveling. The shoe is quite warm, almost too much so in temps above 70 - don't wear a heavy sock! The treads are aggressive, and don't shed dirt and mud easily. The laces are slippery, and frequently untie.

I hiked all over Big Bend National Park with these shoes and never had to think about my feet. And that's saying something. My wife wore a similar model and felt the same way. We bought these over a more serious hiking boot because we're not really serious hikers at this stage in our lives, and we needed a shoe that could handle hot, rocky trails and remain light, comfortable, and inconspicuous enough that we could wear them around town, too. If you're trying to decide between this and the non-Gore-Tex model, go for this one. They're only a few dollars more, and Gore-Tex is useful in all kinds of weather conditions. My feel never felt hot at Big Bend, even while wearing wool socks.

I bought these shoes based on liking my son’s Merrell hiking boots, and my utter loss of confidence in New Balance products. I had never owned Merrell before, but needed some presentable shoes for outdoor and office walking. I’m very glad now that I made the switch. These are absolutely the best walking shoe I’ve ever owned. They are comfortable, very supportive, breathe well, and best of all WIDE. My foot is 10-1/2 EEE and very hard to fit. I found these shoes sized right in length, and very generously proportioned in width. Now I’m looking for my own Merrell boots! I’m completely sold on Merrell.

I just bought my second pair of the Moab XCR. I bought my first pair in 2008 when we went to Italy and spent much of each day either walking or standing. These are the most comfortable shoes I have found and offer so much more support than the other cross trainer type shoes I own. I am still wearing the original pair and the comfort and support are still great. They are starting to wear on the heels, although the uppers are in good condition. We will be traveling 17 days in May to France and England, so I bought a new pair. Plenty of toe room. Also, I wear a 12 1/2 but found the size 13 fits very well. On a Zappos note, I ordered the second pair last night about 10 PM and my order was delivered today about 3 PM. Zappos does the best job of any internet/mail order company I've ever used.

I had a pair of these and bought them for my father, who lives on a dirt road in Maine that often turns to mud. Gore-Tex is a must. He wears them all the time, which makes sense because they're about as comfortable a light hiker as you can find.

Great shoe, very comfortable. Absolute protection from ice, snow, and water (just don’t step into a puddle that’s too deep!). Breathability is truly excellent--only a hair lower than a typical running shoe. For me--and I’ve noticed this with other Merrells--the arch support is lacking. I will get either a custom orthotic or at least a more supportive insole to rectify this. I’m sure I’ll get a number of good seasons out of this shoe.

Love these shoes. I have wide feet and normally hard to find shoes that fit both width and arch correctly. These work great and I wear them for all my casual activities.

I purchased these for my husband for Christmas, he does not like to try new things out but needed something he could do lite hiking in and walking in cold and or wet weather. He loves them and wears them as a casual shoe, says they are comfortable and have kept his feet dry and warm. The arch support is also very good, he has a very high instep. I would recommend this shoe!

I'm very happy with the shoes. The size is just right and the shoe is very comfortable. Zappos customer service is incredible. I can't believe how quickly I received the shoes after ordering.
