The best everyday shoe that I've ever owned. After many many years of wearing these pretty much every day to work, they are finally starting to fall apart. I got right on Zappos and ordered another pair. They are extremely comfortable. I could walk around in them for hours on end and my feet wouldn't get tired. Gore-Tex = waterproof for reals. They never got stinky, so they really must have great breathability. Plus, a nice, subtle design. Overall, I really recommend this shoe.

This shoe arrived the day before -12F weather appeared. Walked to work every day with it. It's perfect. Exactly what I've been searching for. Waterproof for slogging through snow and slush, comfortable for all day wear at work, and a thick enough sole to insulate my foot against subzero temps while walking to work.

Really like the shoe, love the service. Honestly, I ordered the wrong size and it all worked out.

The shoes were exactly what I had expected. Since I needed waterproof footwear, I decided to get snow boots instead, (also from Zappos). Am returning these today, used the snow boots for a visit to Chicago at Christmas time, which worked out great!

I like to keep a pair of trail shoes for everyday, running around doing errands, etc. The Moabs are my latest shoes to fill this purpose and they are the best that I have owned in a while (compare to Scarpa, Lowa, Nike). There is good toe room. The heel cup felt a bit narrow at first but it has broken in well. The build quality is very good. Spring for the Gore-tex, it is worth it!

These are well made and fit like a glove. Can't wait to try them on the trail. No arch support, but I always use my own Spenco insoles anyway.

Wasn't sure about the color. I thought these would be too dark, but they look great with jeans. Also, sturdy support, which I was looking for. Regarding the 'waterproof' factor: I had to go out walk in the snow without socks and my feet stayed warm and dry.

I love these shoes, bought them for winter walking, I walk my German shepherd 6 miles a day 7 days a week and they are better than most walking/sneaker style shoes I where the rest of the year. I'm thinking I might just buy another pair when these wear out.

The shoes are great and Zappos is very easy to use. I am completely satisfied with the product and the service.

My 12 year old son LOVES these shoes! They are his primary day-to-day winter shoe. This boy is out and about and on his feet a lot, and his feet feel and look great. We gave only four stars for style because the shoe was overall dark and plain. We replaced the laces with bright orange bungee laces to match the Merrell logo on the shoe, and my boy has received tons of compliments on the shoes with that look.

This is my husband's second pair of Moab's. Perfect for trail hiking and walking. They stay pretty dry and our super comfortable. Highly recommend.

I love these shoes! They feel wonderful on. All day comfortable. As is typical with Merrel shoes, the stock orthotic is not very good, though in these shoes they are slightly better than all the prior Merrels that I have owned. Put a pair of orthotics in that suit your feet and go hike the Appalachian Trail! The only other slight complaint is that they are a bit on the heavy side. However, for everyday use and wet weather, these shine.

These are great shoes. This is my second pair. I had the first and wore them almost everyday for work, outside, lasted 14 months. Length and width fit me exactly as stated.

I have arthritis in both feet. I also need WIDE shoes and nothing else. These Merrells are the only shoes I can wear with comfort.

These shoes are very comfortable and fit as described. They provide a warm, waterproof environment, even after being out in a week of rain and mist.

These boots are nice. They are basically well built sneakers with heavy tread. They are a bit larger in length than I expected, but that might be alright with thick or double socks. I ordered the wide variety and I am satisfied with the purchase.

Have found Zappos provides excellent service. Merrell's Moab GOR-TEX is perfect for a light waterproof hiker.

I've owned many a hiking shoe over the years and I'm impressed right out of the box with the XCR's. Finding a good wide hiking shoe is always a challenge. The quality, comfort and fit are perfect. They already feel like they're completely broken in. Looking forward to many happy months and hiker miles with these shoes!

This is my first pair of Merrell shoes. Based on other reviews, I ordered these shoes to take on a ten day trip to Germany and Austira. The sizing is perfect and the shoes are very comfortable. I am extremely please with these shoes and will definately consider purchasing Merrells again in the future.

I've been buying this same style for years, only sneakers I wear. Great quality & keeps your feet dry. Was not able to buy them locally, glad I found them at Zappos!

My last pair lived for 8 years of constant use! There only seems to be one small change in 8 years since I purchased the last time and that's only the texture of the brown suede on the outer shell. Clearly Merrell has this shoe engineered to the max and there was no need to change them over the years like other brands. The GORE-TEX works great, recently out hiking and it thunderstorm poured down for 4 hours, 2 to 3 inches of standing water everywhere, feet stayed perfectly dry (shame I can't say that about my other clothes). Amazing footwear!

This is my third pair of Merrell's. At the time I bought this pair, I purchased my wife's second pair. At good as our previous pairs were, we are even happier with these generally due to improvements in comfort and support. We bought these mainly for use playing disc golf which we generally play early since our dog, a boxer, is not good with afternoon heat. Thus, we are usually in wet grass and woods and the Merrells perform superbly. The twisting and turning required to throw a disc taxes the shoes considerably and the Merrells handle that stress quite well. Don't expect the Merrells to stay waterproof forever if they are used as we do, but I have gotten three years of use from mine though I also used them for other fairly strenuous activities. My wife, who uses hers mainly for disc golf, has not lost the waterproofing on her first pair yet.

My husband has worn this brand/style for many years. This grey/black color was a welcome change to the brown colors he has worn in the past. He says they are very comfortable. He wears them daily to work at an office job, for years before showing any signs of wear.

Excellent shoe: rugged, stylish, perfect fit, extremely comfortable. My only nitpick is the laces: they are rather smooth, so the knots often work loose. But the laces are rugged and attractive, and long enough to double-knot, so no big deal. I'm extremely happy, it's like walking on air.

Most comfortable hiking boots I have ever purchased! I can walk for hours and my feet do not get tired. I have yet to develop any abrasions with long term wear.
