Very happy - This shoe fits me like a glove! I have plantar fasciitis and needed something with support and a comfy heel. I also tried NB744, 792 and 926. 926 had a very nice heel as well but didn't come in white. The 700 series did not offer enough support for me. I also ordered my exact size (6.5) and didn't go a 1/2 size bigger like most suggested. All 4 shoes fit me great and were not too small. Love this shoe!!

Continued satisfaction - This is the third in a series of 840 shoes that I have purchased from Zappos. Starting with 842 then 843, these are the only shoes I can wear and all that I have worn for several years. I have back problems, arthritis in ankles and hips. I have orthotics that I put in both shoes prescribed by my orthopedic surgeon. The orthotics fit perfectly. These shoes keep me able to walk pain free. I walked all over Disney World in this summer with no problems. With no other shoe can I do this. I purchased the 844 as it is the 842/843 upgrade. It is just as wonderful as the previous versions. I will continue to wear these forever. New Balance, please continue to make this shoe!!!

Great service and sneakers - I found out about this sneaker when I looked up Morton’s Neuroma. It recommended this particular sneaker. It has been a great sneaker. My pain has diminished greatly. I needed a good narrow sneaker and this fit the bill. I do advise that you go up a half size for a best fit. I like the look and will most likely purchase another pair through Zappos. Great Walking Shoe - This is a very stable, comfortable walking shoe. I always go a 1/2 size bigger in a walking or running shoe. Keep that in mind when purchasing.

Great Sneaker - These sneakers have been great. I have a foot issue and need to wear them every day all day long. Very comfortable and the arch support really works. I highly recommend.

Disappointed with NB WW844 - As one with a hard-to-fit foot -- size 9AAA -- who has, in the past, been able to comfortably wear all of NB equivalent predecessors of this shoe, I was SO disappointed to see that they changed the last. The depth of the shoe seems to have changed (or something has changed!) so that the fit is now far too loose, specifically in the heel. Even an insert does not make the shoe wearable. I will have to return it. Unfortunately, I don't know what other options there could possibly be. I need a shoe to substitute for my very beat-up 843s from last year to wear "around" AND on our elliptical trainer. IF I'd known NB was going to change this shoe, I would have bought a whole closet full of them in advance!

It has a little better look than predecessor. This is a good shoe in which to use custom orthotics; however, its removable insole is very close to my custom orthotic.

Good shoes for poor feet - These are great shoes for anyone who walks or works a lot. They're the same as the white version but don't look as cruddy when you use them for outdoor work. Fit well with orthotics. Just a great outdoor work shoe.

A great shoe - Very comfortable right out of the box, no break-in period. I am ordering a second pair. I'm wearing them all day @ work.

New Balance's WW844 - comfortable - I have a hard foot to fit and have been reluctant to EVER mail-order shoes. The first pair I ordered didn't seem to feel quite right. I ordered another pair and was happy to see they felt fine! Zappos makes ordering and returning so easy! I have worn the 2nd pair on several outings w/ n “break-in" time at all and NO PAIN! THANKS ZAPPOS FOR MAKING THIS A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE!

Perfect! Since I wear orthotics, I have a hard time finding shoes to fit. These are perfect for me.

New Balance WW844 - I love these shoes! I own 2 pairs right now and I wear them at work every day. I work in a hospital and am on my feet and up and down stairs every day. My feet never cause me pain anymore. I also keep a pair at home to wear for my walks.

Great walking shoe - The New Balance 844 is a very comfortable and supportive walking shoe. It's well-cushioned but light on the feet. After my walks, my feet still feel good and energized. I can wear these from morning to night without a 2nd thought as to my comfort. Highly recommended!

Wife's new shoes - These shoes replaced an older pair of NB walking shoes. She is on the treadmill every day. She loves these shoes...a perfect replacement and a perfect fit.

Bought these for my grandmother. She is 86 and has bunions. SHE LOVE LOVE LOVES THEM!!!

Solid walking shoes - Good shoes, really good cushioning, run a half-size small, so beware of that. But otherwise, a good buy.

Best sneakers - Having problems with my feet and these are the most comfortable sneakers I have ever owned. I'd buy them again. They feel great and fit well!

I will stick with New Balance - I recently went to one of these "healthy foot" stores and the clerk talked me into buying a pair of expensive athletic shoes. They didn’t think New Balance were very good shoes. The shoes were awful- mushy, too big and ugly. I will never buy anything but NB again. These shoes are fabulous!! I have had 3 pairs of New Balance but these are the best. Supportive, comfortable and a good fit from the get go.

My doctor kept telling me to wear New Balance, but I was having trouble finding a pair that worked for me. These fit the bill. The toe is rounded for full foot box comfort but the design keeps it from looking round. They stretch a bit but not much. I finally found my walking shoe!

Walk in comfort - This is my third pair of New Balance shoes in this WW844 style. During the past few years I have worn the earlier numbers in this series. I have some foot problems and have difficulty finding shoes that are comfortable and look "normal". I try to walk daily and these shoes help make it possible. The quality is outstanding and I intend to keep buying my walking shoes from this series.

Unhappy with new version of 843 - I had the WW843 and loved the shoe. I thought the WW844 would surely be the same if not better. Wrong! I wear an 11 2A and the new version is most definitely a full size smaller in toe length. I can't even wear it for walking my usual 4 miles per day because my toes just hurt too much. New Balance made a huge mistake on the design of this shoe.

It's New Balance Again - New Balance always fits my wide feet and supplies good support for my high instep. Also, so many athletic shoes have a seam that rubs on my bunion. I've always had good luck with New Balance, and the size seems too consistent over time. Of course, it sure is great to get free deliver overnight!

Awesome! After wearing out my New Balance shoes, walking five miles several times per week; new shoes drew me to Zappos for the first time! After finding out that sr2 is for people with a half-inch or more arch I went with the WW844s; which I ordered this past Monday at 12:10 and received the next day before 12! They feel amazing, have a lot of cushion, and yet look small on my feet. I'm happily used to New Balance, and am used to buying their shoes a half size bigger than usual. I loooove New Balance, and these shoes are just as comfortable as any of my past New Balance shoes. Of course, I could not be more pleased with Zappos, which was first brought to my attention via a TV news, magazine type show. The ins and outs of shoes, the ones not in their glossary, were extensively explained by one of their wonderful service reps, their shipping and return policy could not be better and of course receiving your shoes in less than 24 hours is simply amazing! Love it.

Dream shoe - Who knew an athletic shoe could compensate for a lifetime of walking on the outside of my heels? These shoes are not only light and comfortable but help align my steps - eliminating much of my back and leg pain. Highly recommended shoe.

New Balance fan - I love New Balance. It's about the best fit and comfort I can find for the money. I have several pairs of different styles, but this one is great. I have 843s as well. The fit is true and the Abzorb is great for my foot problems.
