New Balance 844 - I had been wearing the New Balance 843 because of the amount of walking I do. The 844 is a very comfortable shoe and I would buy it again or refer it to anyone.

Great Shoe! I wear these to work everyday. Very comfortable. My only complaint is that some of the trim is grey not white. After a few months of wear the grey makes the shoes look dingy.

Great shoe - This shoe is wonderful! The shoe comes in enough widths so orthodotics are not a problem. Comfortable, great for walking. You will need a larger size.

LOCK HAVEN PA - Love this shoe. I've bought this same shoe 3 times now. But having trouble locating my size now. The shoe works really well with the left leg I crushed and had muscle removed from lower left leg. Still looking for a size 10 now. Female walking shoe 844 rates BEST FOR ME.

My feet are finally happy! I always have trouble with my feet. Recently we went on vacation and I had room to take 6 pairs of shoes. Somehow, none that were comfy at home were OK for all the walking we did. I found I could get these (in white) while on vacation, put them on and immediately walk for miles. My feet felt "at home". I wear a 9-1/2B and it fits perfectly with plenty of width and toe room. Plus, my heel is seated right in there. Nothing was wrong with them. They are the best New Balance walker I've ever had -- and I have a lot. A great purchase!

Very comfortable - I will be going to Italy in April and wanted something for walking. I always buy New Balance for the comfort. After shopping at a large shoe store in my area I found nothing. I always wear 11N. Every New Balance in that size was to short. I ordered a size 12N and it fit. Lots of room in the toe and good fit in the heel. I purchased the white with blue. This is my first purchase from Zappos. The staff was very helpful and service is great. Looks like I will be a loyal customer. Thanks.

I have nerve problems in my feet and the Doctor recommended this shoe for the construction and comfort. It is the only shoe that works for me.

First Pair of New Balance - My doctor recommended this shoe as I have a heel spur and I also am a size 5 and have extreme trouble finding my size in the stores. This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned and it is partly due to the wide width that I can never get. My feet are healing and I feel like I have more energy without always feeling like I can hardly walk. I did add padding plus I will be getting an orthodics to insert.

Not bad - This sneaker is really comfortable. I usually wear a 9 in other brands, but got this in 10 and it fits perfectly. I'm a high mileage walker and have been wearing this a week with no problems. The true test will be how long before it wears out. I'd add an insole for extra cushioning though because this sneaker, like all sneakers, has gone down in quality.

My first 844 - My podiatrist recommended the 843 last year. I bought 2 pairs of white ones and have been very happy with them. He said the 844 is the newest model with the same wonderful support. I bought a pair in black this time. They are perfect for me. I have a narrow foot that is normally difficult to fit, but the B width works fine.

These are great workout shoes - These shoes provide good support and great comfort for my narrow feet.

Love these shoes - I buy these for support and having black ones in addition to my usual white ones is fun. They offer great support for walking. Highly recommended. The fit is exactly like other New Balance shoes - I wear 10.5 in New Balance and 9 or 9.5 in other styles.

Great shoe - I like the 843 series better (you were out of them) but this is a great shoe. I have had trouble with my feet and have found that NB and some good insoles have cured the problem. I have been working on a concrete floor for over 20 yrs, and these shoes do the trick... Thanks.

Nothing like it! The 844s are great. I have plantar fascitis and this shoe makes it easier for me to walk. It's soooo light, like not having on anything, but gives good stability. Feels a little snug at first but then it's like it adjusts to your foot. This is my second pair and I'll buy them again and again, just wish i could find them in black in my size. Great service from Zappos!

Size way off - I love these shoes and buy them every year from Zappos because they carry so many sizes and the service is great. But, the shoe runs 2 sizes off. Every year I have had to order a larger size. Haven't had that problem with other brand shoes and I highly doubt at 51 that my feet are growing one size per year.

I have to stand on my feet all day and carry around extra weight all day d/t my job. Normally when I buy new athletic shoes, my feet hurt for a day or two until I break them in. These shoes felt great from the start. Worked overtime the first day, no problems! Would give them 5 stars!! And will be buying another pair to use outside of work!

Excellent walking shoe - I spoke with someone at New Balance who recommended this shoe for walking for people who are supinators and need a narrower heel. I also have an EE width. This works well for me for walking. I wear 3 different NB shoes- one for weight training, one for running, and one for walking. They are awesome.

Great Shoe - I have feet problems and usually have to wear an insert, but not with shoes. I do a lot of walking all day and they are the best shoes that I have bought in a long time. I have no pain and don't have to wear my inserts!! Don't miss out on this one!

Best shoe ever - This is the best shoe I have EVER worn! Prior to obtaining this shoe, I had developed pain in one of my arches and could no longer take my long walks. This shoe has enabled me to walk with no pain in my arch. I will continue buying this shoe. Have had it for about 6 months and LOVE it. I bought it 1/2 size larger and was delighted it comes in a 2A, as I have a narrow heel. The fit is fabulous if you get 1/2 size larger!

most comfortable walking shoe yet - The support and comfort of this shoe are the best I've encountered in any walking shoe, including other NB shoes. I could tell the difference the moment I put it on, and it's held up well through wearing.

Great comfort - This shoe fit very well. No discomfort after all day of being on my feet. Light weight but good support.

I have problems with my heels and these shoes help take the pain away.

Can't compare to the 843 - I have purchased the 843 six or seven times, so I had to try the 844. I've been forcing myself to "break it in", something I never had to do with the 843. It is not nearly as comfortable, has less support. I guess I'll have to try and get used to it.

Walking with ease - I have been wearing this model for a couple of years. T. They are the most comfortable and supportive walking shoes,: good heel cushioning and good lateral support. I find that I wear a larger size in these than in regular shoes.

Good choice for pronators - I have flat feet and read reviews (outside of Zappos) explaining how helpful the RollBar models are. I first tried a New Balance style without it and was not satisfied. Then I tried this model and found it much more supportive. I removed the insoles and put my prescription orthotics in the shoe. The blue trim on the white model is not as glaring as it appears in the photo. I am ordering another pair just in case New Balance decides to discontinue this style, as they often do. I second the recommendations to order a half-size up.
