I stay close to the max cushion shoes and these are just OK. For me they werent great. I couldnt get into a rhythm with them and they felt bulky. What they are really good for is walking. If you just wanted a really comfy shoe for long days on the feet then these are for you. For running.not so much.

For reference, I'm a mid-forefoot striker and wear all other brands in size 11 US. So, sensibly, I ordered the Glycerin Max in size 11 US.
When I received the Glycerin Max, I had mixed feelings: The midsole is soft, bouncy, and well-cushioned, a dream combo, but the fit was too roomy for my normal feet in length and width. I immediately wished I had ordered half a size down.
Due to the nature of my business, I'm often overseas, so returning or exchanging the shoes would be difficult. So, I decided to buy the thickest socks I could find (see attached picture) and tried the combo on the treadmill first before deciding to keep or resell/eBay them.
First run: Right away, I loved the ride. It was so soft and bouncy. Such a pleasure.Second run: 60 minutes - Even better. I felt the upper mold to my feet. The length and width were acceptable.
Third run: 45-minute recovery - I decided to do something I'd never done before: run immediately on the very next day after a 3-hour long run, for which I usually rest for 2 days. During this recovery run, the bottom of my feet were sore, but this wonderful midsole helped everything bearable and manageable during this tough run. I didn't have any other shoes in my rotation that could have helped me do that. The fit was fine. Strangely, I didn't find the shoes too roomy, probably because my feet swell up a bit.
After the run, I felt fine and was so happy. I rested for 3 days to recover and resume my training in different shoes.
Fourth run: 3-hour long run in the Glycerin Max in 7 days after the previous 3-hour long run. I'd never done 2 3-hour long runs in 2 consecutive weekends before.
The ride was great through out. The fit was okay. The only complaint was the weight during the last 30 minutes. But to be fair, for me, any lighter shoes would be too heavy towards the end of a 3-hour long run. The midsole was exceptionally consistent throughout the 3-h long run - so soft, cushy, and bouncy. Regarding the fit now, I don't feel the need to go down half a size anymore. I'd say the Glycerin Max is borderline true to size for me.
I gave the Glycerin 4/5 because of the loose fit and the weight. The midsole is a solid 5/5. Such an awesome ride!
I've never written a review for any shoe before, but I felt compelled to do so for the Glycerin Max. It deserves it, and I can't wait to see what Brooks has in store for its racing shoes in 2025.

Impressed with glycerin max overall . Positives- #1 plush step in feel #2 nice stack without feeling overwhelming high #3 easy to walk in with shoe shape/geometry #4 outsole rubber is impressive sticky plus durable #5 sit within the foam #6 plush upper great feel . #7 DNA tuned foam feels very nice cushioned if it last great new foam from brooks #8 wide toe box compared to most not pointy . Negatives- #1 Price is high #2 heel counter takes break in could be smoother #3 does not come in wide but might work for some ( overall the new glycerin max is very impressive a great new max cushioned shoe from brooks . It can be used for both walking and running . Could be a wonderful diabetic shoe for diabetics that need a max cushion for comfort . Also very stable shoe with max stack surprised plus impressed how stable it actually is . I had a good experience overall only problem is I have wide feet and fit was very close but not quite close enough without irritation. Sadly I had to return the shoes . If your between normal width and wide width shoe might work unfortunately mine are wide period . Will be keeping my eye out for wide in future just in case its a hit which I expect it will be as long as cushion durability is there . ) great job on brooks for taking the leap and creating something new may there be more to come in future verified purchase unfortunately not my size just a hair less width then I needed mid foot was tight on left foot . Guess its my loss for having two size different feet makes buying shoes difficult. Lastly so people know its not waterproof year around shoe as long as used in dry conditions can be used year around .

Amazing comfort, great responsiveness from heel to toe. Like running on clouds. Great for endurance long runs, slow paces. Can pick up some fast paces, but these shoes do better in slow paces for a smooth ride. Nice wide toe box, comfortable heel padding. Switched out my hoka Clifton 9s for these. Best decision, these are my go to endurance and recovery runners.

Very excited for a max cushion situation after ~10 years of wearing regular Glycerins. No major complaints but, for me, the heel is a bit slippier/roomier than the regular Glycerin and Im hoping the next iteration holds my heel in place a little better. Still, this is a great shoe and I cant wait to run it into the ground!

The Gly Max shoe was extremely out of the box. I thought the fit was great and the shoe does look better in person, in my opinion. Unfortunately, it didn't meet the needs for my morning walks. I walk 7-10 miles in the morning and the shoe felt slightly heavier than I would have liked. There is a lot of cushion but I couldn't bring myself to wear them on normal occasions due to the huge cushion sole. This shoe could be great by reducing the large sole and slim the shoe down to a normal look.

Great shoe, comfort oriented and definitely good for those long runs. I've got 25 miles so far and don't really have too many issues with it at all. The left shoe definitely picks up some dirt in the crevasses in the out-sole but nothing you can't take off pretty easily. Lacing this up is pretty easy and definitely a true to size fit. I'll definitely pick these up for a non-plated easy day option.

I was so excited to get these shoes and try them out, especially after watching several YouTube review videos of them. When first trying them on, they felt great. I have only taken them on two runs so far, and have received blisters on each of the runs. I am still not sure on the cause of this, since the plush factor is also maximized, just like the midsoles. At first, I thought that maybe my pair was a defect, because the lacing system looked crooked, but they look the same way on the webpage pictures. I'll try them for a few more runs, and if I continue to get blisters, will return them, unfortunately. I hardly ever get blisters, so was surprised about that. Aside from that issue, they are comfortable.

I was using the NB More V5s, I think these maybe better. They never felt like they hardened through the run like the Mores. Less ground feel even. Great fit. I have a wide foot and this fit true to size at 10.5 USM.

Great long run or easy day shoe, but a little less of a Swiss Army knife than my go-to Ghost Max. Incredible comfort and bounce, especially after some break in period. The first few runs felt dead and too squishy but after ~25-30 miles they came alive and are my go to for when I just want to cruise at an easy pace.

I am 67 years old and run twice a week. Had calf problems with most of the "super shoes" and found that recent Brooks shoes work well for me. Currently running in the Ghost Max and Caldera 7. Both great shoes. Just started running in the Glycerin Max and like it so far. Very slightly heavier than the Ghost Max with a bit more cushion but not too much more. I usually do 4x400 once a week and have been using the Ghost Max. Tried the Glycerin Max and it was fine too. I have a feeling the Glycerin Max may end up being my regular road shoe. Kudo to Brooks for designing some really nice shoes!

Got them in the mail and next morning went for a 10 mile run in them. They fit true to size and are an absolute pleasure to run in. The cushioning is amazing but without sacrificing responsiveness. They also look amazing, actually caught a couple of runners looking down at them as they ran past. If you want to run for long distances in comfort then these are for you. Thumbs up!

I love running but I have plantar fasciitis which has bothered me for a long time. These Brooks have been the best thing that has ever happened to me, they are very comfortable and very soft. These are my third pair of running shoes from this brand and these are my favorite forever.

I run a lot (70~80 miles per week) and the great majority of those miles are in the Zone 2 easy run category, so I'm a big fan of max-stack shoes that provide protection for the legs and joints but are also fun to run in. I have several max-stack shoes from other brands that I like very much, but I decided to add the Glycerin Max as well based on the very positive experience I had Hyperion Max 2 that I love for tempo runs.
Although I didn't need yet another max-stack max-cushioned shoes, I'm really glad that I got the Glycerin Max as it is so comfortable, protective, and has the fun factor for long easy cruises covering over 15 miles. It's obviously great for set-and-forget cruising paces but can also pick up the pace seamlessly when I want to do so. It doesn't force me to pick up the pace or go faster than I want to and it doesn't bog me down either at recovery pace as some max-stack shoes tend to do. It's perfectly in the middle.
It also feels the better for walking and standing than the other max-stack shoes I have and I'll be wearing this for an upcoming trade show where I'll need to stand by a booth most of the three days of the show and do a lot of walking around as well. The only thing I wish the Glycerin Max had is a gusseted tongue, but I understand that could add more bulk and weight to the upper.
The feel and ride is smooth but can get peppy when picking up the pace. This DNA Tuned foam is something special. I look forward to more shoes from Brooks with this foam. In the meanwhile, I'll be putting a lot of miles into the Glycerin Max. Brooks nailed the max-stack max-cushioned shoe with this one.

These shoes were a gift for my boyfriend. He always complains that his feet hurt in majority of the shoes he wears. Well in these shoes, he compared wearing and walking in them to walking on clouds! When he first slipped his feet into them, he didn't like them off gate. But after a week of wearing them, he began to warm up to them and enjoy them. Due to the weather, we haven't had much opportunity to run. But we did have to be in the hospital for an extended period and he wore them there. Let me tell you, a trek through a hospital is no easy task. He and my nurse (who also happened to be wearing Brooks sneakers) shared some common and mutual positive feelings regarding the footwear. On the other hand, he didn't like the instant memory foam feeling, saying that it felt like he was sinking, but he did like the added height of the sneaker. The white shoe made it stick out to him and he would prefer a different color, but he said the fabric is similar to some of his other sneakers. If you want comfort and support while engaging in various physical activities, these are definitely going to be the shoes for you! Especially if you can get over the initial feeling of your feet slipping into a marshmallow.

This is my second pair of Brooks and I love them. They are one of the most comfortable running shoes I own. The tall slanted sole design is very thoughtful and helps with running. It prevents the shoes from bending too much. The shoe itself is very breathable and my feet don't sweat much. The fabric is easily washable with a sponge and little soap. The fit is true to size and fits perfectly on my foot.

The Glycerin Max shoes are the most weightless and cushioned sole I have ever tried. They fit true to size with a generous toe box so they dont feel tight and narrow! While running, the shoe feels light weight and has a great soft cushioned sole, which helps my feet from tiring quickly. With the sole being so cushioned, I will say I am not a fan of how high they make the shoe look. I would prefer less of a bulky looking shoe as I dont find the Glycerin Max shoes the most attractive. The fabric is breathable and easy to clean with mild soap and water. I would like to see the sole be a little less bulky and a design that is a little more attractive so I would be enticed to wear the shoes more often and for casual wear. But I am definitely adding these into my rotation of running shoes!

The fit and feel of the shoes is fantastic, they are true to size and have a comfortable cushion support in the sole. For walking, they feel balanced and do not tilt in or out. The cushion is very thick compared to other shoes, which may take some getting used to, but does not leave me feeling out of balance while walking or running.
The design of the shoes is very appealing, they do not stand out excessively but look sleek and sporty. There is a thick rim around the top of the shoe where your ankle is which feels a bit like a bunching sock at first, but after wearing them a few times its no longer noticeable. The shoes are also very lightweight as compared to their appearance and that makes them easy to use and easy to take on and off quickly.
The fabric is very breathable and mesh, so they dont make your feet excessively sweaty under normal use. After wearing them for hours, my feet are still comfortable and even in Southern California heat the shoe feels fine for outdoor use in the day. The material is not waterproof, so these are definitely only going to be fair weather shoes. Finally, I would pick a darker color if the roads you walk or run are especially dusty, light colored shoes should only be used on paved surfaces to keep them looking fresh.
What I like most about them is the thick foam sole, it adds just enough of a bounce and cushion to my step to make me feel a little bit taller and have a strong confident stride during a run while still being nimble and lightweight for regular daily use. The one thing I would change about the shoes is that rim design to make it just slightly more comfortable, but, as mentioned above, it was a minor issue that I was able to get used to very quickly.
