The fit was excellent and provided a snug but comfortable experience. It felt like it was tailored just for me with no areas feeling too tight or too loose. The design is sleek and modern but not exactly what Im used to. I was a little intimidated by the design at first but it did have a stylish look that makes it versatile for both athletic and casual wear. The fabric is high quality and breathable which is perfect for both intense workouts and casual outings. It feels soft against the skin and is also quite durable. The thing I liked the most is the overall comfort. If I could change one thing it would be to add darker colors. I run in a rural area so my shoes tend to get a little dirtier then most but overall its a lovely shoe.

To be honest, I was a little baffled by the excessive stack height and cushion of the new Brooks Glycerin Max. I usually steer clear of shoes with increased cushion, but this is my personal preference. I've found that for runs of 3 miles or longer, I gravitate towards shoes with far less cushion than the Glycerin Max. This is primarily because the excess cushion causes my Achilles to flex too much, and I develop pain. Despite this, I was excited to give these a try and see if I got similar results. My thoughts and impressions are as follows. As far as being a shoe geared for longer distances or tempo runs, I do not think these are the shoes for me. I felt as if the cushion was a little too excessive for my liking. I enjoy cushion, but after a few miles these felt a little unstable. I felt as if there was too much movement in both the up and down direction and side to side. My feet sunk down too much with each stride and this put excess strain on my Achilles tendon around mile 3. Although these shoes do not meet my personal preferences when it comes to longer distance runs, or shorter fast paced intervals, they were extremely comfortable to wear casually and for walking. I did put them to the test at work in a hospital where I spend up to 12 hours primarily on my feet as a nurse. I found them very comfortable to work in for about the entirety of my twelve-hour shift. I felt as if i was walking on a cloud. I did get lots of compliments because these shoes certainly stand out in the crowd and my co-workers loved them. Like the rest of my Brooks shoes, the glycerin Max incorporates the same high-quality materials that I have grown to love. The upper part of the shoe is silky smooth on the inside and makes them a pleasure to wear. They are very breathable as well, and the fit is very true to size. I have an average width foot and felt as if they were snug enough to keep my feet in place, but still offered enough room to counteract the potential for developing hot spots or blisters. overall, i was not sold on these shoes being the best for fast paced or longer distance runs. I do feel as if they would be great for someone who is looking to walk, or someone who desires an extreme amount of cushion. The Glycerin Max definitely offers a pleasurable wearing experience, but not when running longer distances. I overall loved the design and loud appearance. They stand out in the crowd, and this was my favorite feature.

These shoes are great! Very easy on the feet and very minimal break in. The only downside and reason I knocked off one star is because the sizing was off by a bit the shoes run slightly larger than usual. Otherwise I have no problems, they look sleek and feel great. I typically feel within the first mile if the shoes are going to work out or not for me since I have a high arch and I felt great and was able to run 10 miles with no issues. For break in I simply just wore them around for running errands prior to breaking them out for a run and they needed minimal break in. I am going to continue to wear these and re purchase. Will update review when I see how long lasting they are.

These running shoes excel in breathability and, most importantly, provide exceptional comfort for long distances. The fit is true to size, and the sole practically invites you to start running. The front portion of the insole slopes slightly downward, giving your toes a secure grip as you take off. While the design may lean toward a more mature aesthetic, it more than compensates with superior comfort. Overall, an outstanding choice for both running and comfort.

As an avid runner, I was really excited about these shoes. They are true to size and extremely comfortable. In terms of comfort its definitely a 10 out of 5. Super light and running in them feels like walking on clouds. I like walking and running with my kids and these are perfect for running on concrete. The cushion really helps with the knee pain that I get now in my old age. All my running shoes are from this brand but I never tried this line. The shoes are definitely more stylish than my normal shoes. I would have preferred more white rather than a yellow that reminds me of glow in the dark stickers.

I was initially skeptical when I opened the box and saw the Brooks Glycerin Max, but I quickly grew to love them. Typically, Im a fan of the Brooks Ghost line, but Ive also run in the Glycerin series, with the Glycerin 21 being my most recent experience.
What I liked: Despite the substantial cushioning that spans from heel to toe, the Glycerin Max is surprisingly lightweight. In fact, it feels comparable, if not slightly lighter, than the Glycerin 21. The comfort level is outstanding, with a generously roomy toe box. These shoes stay true to Brooks' typical sizing, with a size 8.5 fitting like most other Brooks Ive worn.
What I disliked: The aesthetic is where the shoe falls a bit short. It resembles a blend between a platform shoe and a running shoe. The Brooks logo sticks out from the side of the shoe more than on their other models where its typically flush with the side of the shoe. Additionally, theres a slight squeak with each step, though I expect this will diminish with more wear. I received the all-white version, which isnt ideal for outdoor runningunfortunately, theyve already started to show stains after just a few weeks. But theyre meant to be used so what should I expect, right? While I generally prefer more colorful running shoes, this is a personal preference and doesnt detract from the shoes performance.
Overall: Im extremely satisfied with the Brooks Glycerin Max and have confidently made it my new long-run shoe. Im optimistic about its long-term durability.

My favorite feature of this shoe is the comfort. It is so soft that it feels like you are walking on a cloud. My second favorite feature is the extended back heel, it's like a shoehorn that lets your foot slide right into the shoe.
The fit was true to size and the fabric was breathable and fully supported the top of the foot while running. When they got dirty from trail running, it was easy to hand-wash and dry. I put over 100 miles on the shoe so far and the bottom of the shoe showed no signs of wear. The shoe is designed to have yellow hues come through the sole, which I love the look of. Overall, this is the most comfortable shoe I've worn, and I constantly use them for walks, running and hanging out in the yard. I would highly recommend them and there isn't an aspect that I would change.

I am not a fan of these shoes, due mostly to their unwieldy structure and limiting construction.
The soles are so thick on these that I stand a good three inches taller after putting them on--they feel like platform shoes. I really don't like being so high off the ground with no ability to distinguish what terrain I'm on, most especially when I'm training. These shoes also feature an odd contoured sole that forces you to rock from heel to toe-tip with every stride. I did not like this feature at all.
Less important, but also a factor, the features mentioned above also make these shoes very ugly. Maybe they are meant to be a fashion statement, because I would not consider these as a viable choice for runners or any athletes whose training requires connection to the ground, motion feedback, and self-control.
That being said, the fabric and design are top notch, and I would love to see a running/training shoe with less padding, that allows me to move freely without forcing my gait and stride!

Wow, these Brooks Glycerin Max have more cushion than any shoe I have ever worn. They have an insane amount of bounce, and are extremely comfortable. This style of shoe takes a while to get used to and has a much larger sole than most, but besides that they are excellent. They are true to size and need no time to break in. I have hardwood floors and have even been wearing them around the house, they are so comfy! I would definitely recommend these for anyone looking for a comfortable pair of shoes that helps bring an added bounce to their step!

I am a 40 year male who runs on a treadmill at the gym everyday. Given my age, it's critical to have comfortable shoes that don't put much strain on my feet and knees. These shoes are perfect for my condition and have the extra bonus of making my feet feel like they are floating on the treadmill. As a result, I find that I am able to run for longer periods without any noticeable strain or stress on my feet or knees. I would highly recommend these shoes for the experience indoor runner in my age group.

Prior to even putting the Brooks Glycerin Max shoes on my feet, I could predict what the feeling would be. I imagined walking on a plush new carpet with the most luxurious underlayment money can buy. The notion held true when I tried the shoes on! The landings when walking and running were minimal, so its clear the sole was designed to minimize impact and maximize comfort!
I was curious to see if these shoes with such a design for comfort would translate to an actual run, and was pleasantly affirmed with each strides smoothness. The sole does not prevent the toe pivot which is necessary for each next step, and the sculpted design also allows for the easy transition from heel to toe.
Overall I am satisfied with this shoe - the fit is true to size, the design is true to the Brooks style, the extreme comfort of the sole was noticed immediatley, and the design which allows for a smooth stride!

The Brooks Mens Glycerin Max shoes are a great running shoe. They feel very light and have great cushion on long runs and great stability for shorter more intense runs. Ive spent about a week using these shoes every day and they will now be my new go to. The fabric on the upper feels very light but has great lockdown and makes my foot feel secure. The overall design of the shoe is great it looks good both on and off your feet. I would say this shoe runs slightly small as Im normally a 10 but this is a 10.5 and feels the same as a 10. My favorite part of this shoe is definitely the cushion it feels like running on clouds. If I had to change anything on this shoe it would be the sole, I think adding some more traction to the sole itself would be a good idea. Overall this is a great shoes and I would highly reccomend it.

This shoe is, without a doubt, the most comfortable I've ever worn. The fit is spot-on, and the cushioning is nothing short of incredibleit genuinely feels like walking on a cloud. Im not usually one to get excited about shoes, but the comfort level here is mind-blowing. I cant quite fathom the technology that went into making this shoe, but whatever it is, it's pure genius.
One unexpected bonus is that these shoes make me feel a bit taller. They have a platform-like quality, and the thick padding gives me confidence that I could step on something sharp without even noticing. The design is not just functional but also stylish. I particularly love the color of the sole and the excellent grip it provides. Whether Im walking around at work or hitting the gym, the traction is reliable, even on the court.
The fabric is incredibly soft and cushioned, adding to the overall comfort. The shoes are white, so they might get dirty easily, but the material seems durable and well-made, suggesting theyll stand the test of time.
The only minor drawback is when slipping them onthe heel area feels a bit tricky. It's hard to tell if the material is being pushed inside or if the back is properly in place. Not sure if that makes any sense. Despite this small quirk, these shoes are a game-changer for both everyday wear and athletic activities.

I recently started using the Men's Glycerin Max shoes, and they have quickly become my go-to footwear for both running and everyday wear. Heres why:
The fit of these shoes is absolutely perfect. They hug my feet just right, offering a secure yet incredibly comfortable feel. The cushioning is exceptionalsoft enough to absorb impact during long runs, yet supportive enough to keep my feet feeling fresh even after hours of wear. The moment I put them on, I could feel the difference compared to other shoes I've tried.
The design of the Glycerin Max is sleek and modern. I have white shoes, which are very stylish and versatile, making them easy to pair with anything from workout gear to casual outfits. The attention to detail in the design, from the subtle branding to the well-placed reflective elements, really makes these shoes stand out.
The fabric is another highlight. It's breathable, which keeps my feet cool during intense workouts, yet durable enough to withstand regular use. I also appreciate how lightweight the material feels, contributing to the overall comfort without sacrificing durability.
What I love most about the Glycerin Max shoes is the balance they strike between comfort and performance. Whether Im running on the road, hitting the gym, or just walking around town, they offer the perfect mix of cushioning, support, and style.

These Glycerin Max in Grey/Black/Nightlife stand out and give you visibility during late or really early runs. They have more cushioning and a taller insole, so you feel like you are flying. They have a built-like-a-tank outsole that gives you lots of lift and plenty of padding so your feet are comfortable.
There is a spacious toebox, so your toes are not crowded together. They offer great stability and grip when needed.
These shoes are REALLY comfortable right out of the box and fit like a glove. The interior mesh is suede-like and super cushy, so you can easily run sock-less in them if you prefer. The mesh upper breathed well so my feet don't sweat. The lacing system secures the midfoot well and holds the shoes in place. The color and design stand out and are really noticeable. I am pleased with these shoes and would definitely recommend them.

As an experienced runner, the Brooks Glycerin Maxs have become my go to shoe for training. I run several shorter races a year and find these shoes are comfortable and supportive. They run true to size, the fabric is durable in a variety of weather conditions, and they look great aesthetically. They are not only great for running, but I wore them the duration of my vacation abroad and was able to comfortably walk for hours with no pain or blisters. These are my new go to shoes. I couldnt recommend them more!

Is this the best running shoe of 2024?
Its up there, you want to run a bunch of miles and be comfy the entire time? This is it! Its not super fast but the sole/cushion is some of the best of 2024. Well worth the price tag, I find myself pulling this shoe for most runs now.
Grade A for everyday running.

What an amazing shoe. Since wearing them I have improved my pace by about 45 seconds without any leg fatigue. Not only is it comfortable but with its new technology it provides a rocker motion like no other. Highly recommend this show for those looking for something to help them train and improve their stride and pace. Or just an all around great running sneaker.

There's a lot to like here. Very comfortable and nice ride. The issue is that they are very roomy. I have an average width foot and never had issue an issue with Brooks shoes before. I'm going to keep the shoes but not use them for running. I hope this is corrected in the next version.

As a dedicated Ghost Max runner, I have found the Glycerin Max to have a more refined and/or responsive feel at impact than the Ghost Max. It is something quite unique. I will not abandon my Ghost Max, but the Glycerin Max is my now go-to running shoe. And, the OrthoLite insole is such an awesome upgrade!
