My new favorite shoe. Ive owned Hokas and Ons these are by far the best running shoes Ive owned. Extremely comfortable and my feet dont ache after running Marathons. You wont be disappointed with this shoe and your feet will thank you later.

So far, I have about 20 miles on them. Very comfortable great cushioning for this older runner. I'm going to use them for a half marathon this weekend. I'll probably get 1 or 2 more pairs to keep in my rotation.

Ive logged 85 miles in them and only have one complaint - the orange dye on the inside of the heel cup has stained all of my white socks. I typically run in saucony endorphin speeds but found their newest update to be too narrow for me. The foam on the Hyperion max 2 is not as soft as the endorphin but it didnt seem to bother me much. The use of the plastic plate stiffens them up and makes them feel really good at marathon pace workouts. The longest run Ive done in these is 12 miles and my feet felt fine afterwards. My favorite part about the shoe is the fit of the upper. Its fantastic. A little warm on hot days but still fantastic.

The design of this shoe is quite impressive with a seamless comfortable upper. The material is breathable, lightweight, durable and supportive. The upper is roomy, breathes well during hot California summer heat while being insulated enough for mild winter conditions. Its an optimal multi season shoe. It is a light shoe that goes the distance for comfort and speed. A neutral shoe with a secure snug fit that runs true to size. Great shoe for racing, the kick off feels good on this shoe. I have these in my rotation and use them for speed runs because of how light they are. They broke in nicely after a week of running. I wasnt a fan of brooks before but these have changed my mind and are now a go to in my daily rotation:

Love these shoes but horrible design with the orange inside the heel. These have stained everyone of the socks I have worn as your feet sweat or get wet it leave a color ring on them pinkish in color. What can you do about this.

Several runs in the bank on the Hyperion Max 2, I enjoy them even more than the first version which I liked alot as well. Cushion is better and response is better - it's easy running shoe. I have used for interval training as well as medium distance runs. It will work as a trainer as well as race - one horse shoe if you want.

Well. I tried not to love these shoes. The look is just not my favorite. That swoopy toe, the branding, the colors...not my jam. But the fit??? Ooh baby. I feel like I could run 20 miles, jump 15 feet straight up, then thunderkick a ninja. I'm willing to concede that I might be an old man, and comfort wins out over cool factor. Bury me in these shoes.

As a former elite runner, formerly sponsored by Brooks, I wish this shoe, in addition to the other Hyperion shoes, was available.
Excellent spring off ground for a midfoot striker.

This was my first experience with a running shoe that has cushion and impact protection. The verdict? I LOVED it. It was like floating on air. Granted, most of the time, I was walking my puppy and not using it to the fullest extent by running, but it made the early morning and late night strolls super comfortable. The design was fresh, the fabric easy to clean from grass stains, and the colors were trendy, matching my workout gear seamlessly. The fit was perfect, true to my regular size. Nothing that I would change. The few times I did use it for running, it upped my game. So, whether you're walking 1 mile with your four-legged friend like me or you're a road warrior, I would highly recommend this pair.

I like this shoe. Fits well. The sole is stiff enough to provide inherent support, but cushioned enough to be soft on the feet. Unlike the Ghost Max, which is not stiff at all. This Hyperion is a great daily trainer for long and tempo workouts. Could work pretty well for Threshold workouts too, but not quite responsive enough for VO2 max efforts. I don't love the laces. They are about 3 inches too short and the coarse fabric is weird to tie. But, these shoes would do perfectly well with stretch laces because the inner has elastic that really hugs the dorsum of the foot.

I have run or walked thousands of miles over many years and have worn many pairs of shoes. Across all those miles, and all those shoes, the Hyperion Max 2 is my favorite! I wear a size 13 and they fit perfect--not too tight or too lose. When I wear these shoes, I feel like--and I cannot believe this is possible to say about a pair of shoes--I am walking on a cloud. They are firm and supportive, but also light and airy, a sensation hard to describe but oh so comfortable to wear! I also love the zipper like feature of the laces. I had always double knotted my shoelaces to keep them from untying while walking or running. But with the awesome Hyperion Max 2 laces, they stay tied with a single knot. Overall, the shoes are lightweight, durable and feel amazing. Hands down, this is the best shoe I have ever owned

The first thing you notice about these sneakers are that they look really cool! Great color and style to them - if I were judging them just on design they would easily be my go-to sneakers for training. They also fit really well and are true-to-size with comfortable padding where my feet feel secure but not overly tight or loose. However, while they feel good and look great, these sneakers have a little too much bounce than what I prefer. A little bounce is good for training, but these have what I'd refer to as "Extra bounce". While I will still use them occasionally, I wouldn't use them all the time as a result. But if you like the extra bouncy training sneaker, these are definitely for you!

I picked up the Hyperion Max 2 last month and have immediately made these shoes my goto for all of my outdoor running. I really have grown to like how comfortable they are. It only took a single run to break them in and now they are perfect. They are very light and it has been easy to run in them even in the hot summer days!
The look of them is also pretty good. I think they are pretty fashionable and i enjoy the color scheme as it matches with many of my clothes.
I would recommend these types of shoes to anyone looking to make a switch from their current brand.

As a runner who's been loyal to Brooks for over 18 years, clocking around 60 miles per week and consistently running sub-three-hour marathons, I have extensive experience with their shoesfrom trail to road models, even spikes. Ive run in countless Brooks models, and prior to this, I wore the first generation of the Hyperion Max, which I loved so much that I replaced it three times.
Unfortunately, the Hyperion Max 2 has been a major letdown. Right off the bat, the shoe feels excessively heavy, especially compared to its predecessor. One of the most frustrating issues is that the shoelaces wont stay tied, even when double knottedthis is a small but critical flaw.
Things get worse when the shoe gets wet. It soaks up water to the point where it feels like Im running with bricks on my feet. In fact, a running buddy and I have started calling this model the Bricks Shoe as a jokebut its a sad truth. When wet, it weighs in at over 11 ounces per shoe, which is unacceptable for a high-performance shoe.
What makes it more frustrating is that the shoe had so much promise! The technology of the sole is great, but why not focus on making the shoe lighter and more efficient? My plan moving is to use the first generation until I see a significant reduction in weight for a 3rd generation of this shoe.
I cannot recommend the Hyperion Max 2 to other serious runners. If youre a fan of the first version, this update will likely be a disappointment.

These shoes are great! I have had Brooks shoes in the past, so when my wife showed me the Hyperion Max 2 shoes I was so excited! They fit my feet great, not too tight and not too loose. I mostly run on a treadmill, but I can still feel a difference in my joints when wearing the Hyperion Max 2 shoes. My knees are less sore after a workout wearing these shoes. The soles feel amazing. They are so soft and cushiony, and the shoes themselves are so light, it feels like running on a marshmallow. I feel like I can run faster too when I'm wearing them, which makes my run more fun. The shoes are very breathable, so my feet get less sweaty, which my wife appreciates.
Overall, these shoes make my work-out much more enjoyable. I think the only thing I would change is the color, I like darker colors that help hide the dirt.

These shows have a lot more support than my previous running shoes. I have largely stopped running, and mostly bike, so I have a dedicated pair of cycling shoes, and some casual athletic shoes that I rotate through, but most of them are barefoot adjacent, though I never committed fully to the barefoot running trend.
That being said, these shoes *look* cool, and I like the pop of color on the neutral background. The fabric is very breathable, which is nice for hot days and sweaty feet.
I liked trying something with a little bit more support and a lot more sole. They felt very awkward at first, but where I previously ran on the road or trails, these shoes are good for the gym, especially when switching between running and weights. I am still getting used to them, but I do think Ill be using them as my dedicated gym shoes for the time being, and hopefully once theyre broken in, Ill feel more used to them.
With them being more supportive inside, they did fit well, but they didnt snugly hug my feet like my other shoes. My feet run narrow, but I can wear standard shoes if theyre the right brand, and the width of these is another thing Im adjusting to.

Brooks have always been a favorite of mine, but the Hyperion Max 2 are by far superior. The level of comfort and support are excellent. They fit my size 13 feet perfectly and the material is obviously high quality. The design has character but isnt too in your face. These Brooks are so comfortable, I wish I could wear them for all occasions.

Ive been running consistently for about 3 years now and am currently starting to train for my 3rd half marathon. Ive always gotten flat shoes so that I can feel the road. Im also tall, so I tend to lean away from anything elevated. I got the Hyperion Max 2, not really thinking I would like them, but was more than pleasantly surprised to have been wrong.
First off, they are light and airy, which I love! Its already been fairly hot where I live, these kept my feet cool during runs. The fabric is breathable and minimal. I also enjoy the tongue being sewn into place so that it doesnt move around at all. The shoes look sleek and made me feel as though I had upped my run game!
At first, running on a more elevated shoe felt weird. But as I got used to the feeling, I actually really enjoyed the extra cushioning as my feet were meeting the pavement. I also noticed that these shoes helped me to keep a better posture during my runs.
Only a couple of things that slightly bothered me. I love the elevation while running, but it feels very awkward and clunky while walking. This wouldnt cause me not reach for these shoes for runs, but if I have longer walk periods planned, I would select for a different shoe. Secondly, the sole inserts are not removable, so I have to put my custom made inserts on top of them, which makes the shoes more snug. Other shoes I have, I am able to remove the insert to put mine in. They are glued down in this shoe.
Overall, I will really liked the Hyperion Max 2 shoes and will continue to use them during this training cycle.
