I have used this shoe 3 times so far and I have to say it is my new go to for many reasons. I have extreme metatarsalgia in my right foot and have been running in zero drop shoes from another company for about a year and a half. The Hyperion Max 2 is my number one now. As soon as I took off running my feet moulded into the shoe. the faster I ran the more comfortable the shoe was. I was able to cut 25 seconds off of each mile for 11 miles. perfect amount of reaction off of the ground. also ran them to the gym and made leg day a breeze!!!! Love these shoes!!!!!

I ordered an 11, which I always do. Had to return for a 10.5 which fit length wise. Once I got the 10.5 I went on a 6 mile run and the shoes were far too narrow. It pinched my pinky toe in the toe box and hurt to run in. This isn't a problem I ever have with brooks. I have a standard foot width. I wanted to love them, the color is cool. But the fitment is horrible. Wouldn't recommend unless you have a narrow foot, and order half a size down. I read complaints about traction. This is definitely something to consider. Light dirt on the river path made the shoe slip pretty bad. One other thing, I love the gusseted tongue. I wish more brooks had that.

There was no reason to add more stack height versus the previous version. I rain about 300 miles on the previous version without issues but I am having some mild knee pain post run in these. But the worst part is the tongue. The tongue extends and attaches to the sides of the midsole. Its elastic but TIGHT!!! I can loosen the laces and its still very snug to the point of causing pain over the top of my foot. I am hoping it loosens up a bit. Find every pair of the old version. I may have to send these back.

By far, the most comfortable shoe I've worn! Not sure if it really makes me faster but every step I take is much better than anything else out there. I love them so much, I'm about to order another pair in a different color!

The HYPE(rion) is REAL! I've been looking for a plated race shoe for quite some time now, and chose these over the Saucony Endorphin Speed 4. The Hyperion Max 2 offers way more cushioning compared to the Speed 4, and I love the look of this new model. The 'BROOKS' name on the inside is a nice touch, and makes this look way more elite than it is. The rocker-motion can really be felt, and the nylon (plastic) plate does a decent for the price job of propelling you forward and keeping you in motion. There are faster shoes out there, but with that comes additional cost. I like my decision and purchasing of these shoes, and will continue to choose Brooks for my racing and training needs.

I had a terrible experience with this shoe. Ive worn Brooks in the past and very much enjoyed them. This shoe after a single 5 mile run left my ankle swollen and sore for 2 weeks. Its likely a good shoe, just not the right fit for my foot.

I made the leap over from Nike Zoom Fly to Brooks with my last pair of Hyperion Max's. I really loved the Hyperion Max but had a few gripes that I was hoping would be addressed in the latest model: toe box space and tongue movement issues, . Brooks delivered in spades with the Hyperion Max 2! This is the best running shoe I have ever experienced. The toe box comfort has been obviously taken into consideration here as the constriction/hot spot I was feeling with the previous model is not present at longer times in my runs (1+ hours). Also, the increase in toe box space does not feel sloppy either. The tongue on this shoe is brilliant, as it is connected to the lower with an elastic that keeps it perfectly in place! I have never seen this in another shoe. Tongue's have always been problematic to me with all prior running shoes I have been in, but not this shoe... I will buy this shoe over and over again for this feature alone. The ride is FAST! This shoe really shines on a faster pace and has a nice spring when toeing off. Also, the foam is not overly spongy/mushy so energy transition from a midfoot strike to toe-off feels high energy without sacrificing cushion/comfort. I hope this helps and happy running!

I am very happy with my Hyperion Max 2 shoes. They are very comfortable and I love the material they are made of, it is very soft and completely adapts to my feet. The Hyperion shoes are very light compare to my Caldera trail shoes.

I prefer the feel of a lightweight shoe for short runs and everyday use, but the Hyperion Max 2 has really helped me with knee pain on longer runs. It feels supportive but not clunky. I will likely repurchase again in a few months.

Fit true to size. The tongue is perfect, almost; snug but not too tight, and ad if the laces are just there for normalcy but not really needed to secure the fit! This has a bit more foam underfoot but it doesnt feel like youre wearing a max shoe. Great responsiveness and pop from the plate but without any downside of carbon and Achilles/calf strain. The heal is and forefoot is a more soft while maintaining responsivenessthis is the major perceived difference from the original, but I like it. Overall, a great shoe that can be used for a long Zone 2 run, tempo workouts and racing a marathon. Great grip on the dry and sandy roads so far and no heat issues. Havent rain in the cold yet.

Been running with Brooks since the 70's. This shoe is the most exciting shoes I've owned. It provides a new level of support. I love the elastic 'sock' which holds the foot in place. The cushion is both soft and yet very responsive. Thanks for making this great shoe.

I like the stack height and cushioning but these shoes are a bit heavier than the original Hyperion max. However, I ran pretty fast in them and they felt pretty responsive

I wanted this shoe to work, I really did! At the age of 40, my knees dictate what I run on. I bought the Hyperion Max 2 from a Fleet Feet. I was so excited to try them. I wore them on two runs and the next morning after each run my knees were slightly upset at me. By the end of the day they felt fine, and I ran the following mornings on my recovery day shoes. The new foam isn't soft enough for me, it is a stiff foam and plate combo. I think if Brooks were to get somewhere between where they are now and some of the softer more bouncy foams then, they'd be on to something special. I love the feel of the upper. It was well ventilated and it felt like the shoes wanted to put in long miles for me. There was plenty of shoe lace, one would argue too much shoe lace. I really didn't know what to do with all the shoe lace. Overall, super comfortable upper.

Overall this shoe is amazing. At first its a bit firm but the more you run in it the more it comes alive. It can handle a variety of paces and keep you at that pace for awhile. The only drawback which i hope gets improved in version 3 is that of grip on wet roads. Its a bit dicey when you are running on wet pavement or roads and you have to pull back your effort in my opinion.

It's nearly perfect. The upper is snug & breathable but still feels durable. It foam is firmer than the modern trend of running foams, but it is responsible and comfortable without feeling dead under foot. I often feel like the Brooks offerings have been developed more as athleisure accessory than a competitive running shoe option. That is totally not the case here. I am actually excited about the future of Brooks if more shoes take strides like this one. Pun intended.

Great looking, plenty of cushion, no hotspot issues. I trail run but needed to add street shoes to pick up a few extra quick sprint sessions in between. Very comfortable. Cool shoes is the feedback I get from others.
