Great cushioning and great fit. I wouldn't recommend it for wet conditions. Excellent shoe.

I have never left a shoe review before. Dear Brooks, please please dont change this shoe, just add some new colors. This is THE best running shoe I have ever trained in.

Love this shoe! Best running shoes that I have had. Trying to purchase another pair but they are out of my size 9.5. This shoe has improved my running remarkably.

Cushioning is good. I had to return it coz my left foot pronates. I had to rely on my hyperion gts. I wish u have 1 shoes that provides both.

Like these shoes right out of the box. Ill use them primarily for raciing, However they have been a hard not to pick for intervals and tempo runs.

These are fantastic training shoes for distance running. The drop is less than what is found from comparable options within Brooks and from other companies, which I prefer on my daily trainers. The textured shoelaces are perfect for preventing loose laces on long runs that traditional shoelaces can experience. The Hyperion Max 2's are more reactive than expected which is a positive for me since the modern plush cushion of some shoes can be irritating when running faster than a slow pace.

These shoes were excellent! Completed my first Ironman in Arizona this past weekend in them. I had trained all year long in the Hyperion Max and made the step up to the Max 2 for Race Day. They were very comfortable over the course of 26.2 miles despite never having worn them before race day which I know is very taboo. I had no blisters or discomfort only bouncy performance came out of these!!!!

I have 3 different Max shoes from Brooks (Ghost Max 2, Hyperion Max 2, and Glycerin Max.) They are all great in their own ways. I'm 40, 6'2 220. I still have very healthy joints luckily and I want to keep em that way. For trail shoes I like a lot less cushion, but on the tredmill and pavement these shoes are a game changer! I use the Hyperion Max 2 for anything 1/2 marathon and under. They have a great mix of plenty of cushion to lessen the aches and pains of running on pavement, but still feel like you can turn on the jets when you want speed.

I think Brooks has knocked it out of the park in the looks department; however, I didn't find it that comfortable and I plan on returning them. I don't understand why the insole in the heal area is so much higher on the inside of the shoe than the outside. It is uncomfortable and noticeable. The same insole design is used on the standard Hyperion's too. I'm going back to my Glycerins, I just wish they looked this cool. I think the tongue and laces on this shoe are awesome and I wish it was on other Brooks shoes. I thought the shoe was on the harder side and I hope the next iteration is 10% softer.

I have to start with the positive, I'm a Brooks guy. I really like the look of this shoe, the design and I had high expectations. I have the original Hyperion max and I love them for runs that are no longer than 5 or 6 miles. However, for some reason these have caused me some foot pain. particularly in the arch of my right foot. I have ran in them 5 times of runs between 4 1/2 to 6 1/2 miles each. I just can't figure out what the deal is. Maybe they're just not a good fit for me. I have flat feet so it's always a challenge to find the right running shoe. Overall, Brooks are all I run in. I'm open for suggestions for shorter runs. My Aurora BL are my long run shoe but I have ran in them for shorter runs as well.

This is the first Brooks shoe I've tried and I'm very impressed. The Hyperion Max 2 is comfortable, fast, cushioned, and stable. The ride is on the firm side but that is how it should be for tempo/threshold runs, intervals, and workouts. The fit of the upper is amongst the best I've ever experienced in a running shoe. The midsole is protective and well-cushioned but very propulsive. The outsole seems grippy although I haven't tried in wet conditions yet. Very happy with the Hyperion Max 2. For me, it wouldn't be a daily trainer as it really makes me want to pick up the pace.

I was excited to see the Hyperion Max 2 released as I was looking for a shoe to race my first marathon, having raced three half marathons in the original Maxs. Unfortunately, I will not be racing in this shoe. Firstly, why, just why Brooks, have you added so much weight!? This just seems crazy to me and almost a deal breaker for racing longer distances by itself. What is this shoe trying to be? My new size 15s are 3.4oz heavier than the original max, that's a 35% increase in weight!!! Although a better quality material, the upper is also much more rigid, meaning that there is more chance of a more uncomfortable ride, particularly on the inside of the big toe area, which I've experienced. I'm not sure if its the rocker (the plate does not act as a carbon plate at all) but this shoe also aggravates the area under my big toe, almost towards the inside arch. I have about 8 pairs of brooks in my current rotation (all size 15) and don't have this issue with any other model. Finally, and yes I'm bitter here, why does the Hyperion Elite (a lighter shoe) only go to size 13?! Almost all your competitors' super shoes go up to 14, some 15 (vaporfly, endorphin pro, etc.) Unfortunately I won't be racing in Brooks for the foreseeable future which I am gutted about, with it being my favorite shoe brand :(

Overall good fit, true to size. Light upper. Tongue can be a little troublesome getting into place. Really like the locking laces. Slightly slick bottom but very responsive, quick rocker feel to toe off. Can be challenging on inclines and declines but great for speed work and faster runs.
