Something happened after the 13s. Brooks replaced the soft insole with a hard, uncomfortable foam. The outsole of the 16 bulges outward, which is also new to the design. I wear a narrow and this not only looks odd, it makes walking feel clumsy. If I want to be comfortable for all-day wear, I still choose my Ghost 13 over both the 15 and 16, even though they are more worn out. I really hope Brooks takes this feedback into consideration for future versions. The Ghost was a great running shoe!

The new model (16) is not as good as the older model (15). Not the same amount of cushioning, narrower toe box, slight elevation that causes your foot to slip forward when you walk. I had to locate a pair of 15s and put them for my long days of walking but I can use these for bumming around in. I am no expert at Tennis shoes but I can definitely tell the difference and unfortunately it's not a good change this time. No longer my go to shoes. Sorry.

I LOVE the ghost 15.please bring them back! They're definitely better than the 16s.

Only wore for half an hour in the house. Don't care for the instability.

I have been wearing ghosts for years and the 16s are giving me blisters. It's frustrating having to buy the new models when the old ones were perfect. Now I can't find the 15s anywhere. Don't fix what isn't broken

When I first started wearing Brooks, the ghost version I told people I had joined the cult. I didn't think I could ever change. For the first time in five years, I've returned the my first pair of sneakers. They have completely changed the style of the shoe. I thought I had a stress fracture that's how much pain the shoe was causing me turns out it's just cut more narrow. I'm completely devastated. I guess it's time to shop a new brand. Why do companies try to fix whats already perfect.

The midsile cushioning that was added in the 16 pushes my foot forward and pinches my toes. Not a comfortable feeling.

I've worn Brooks Ghost for many years. The shoe is now too narrow for me and hard. Maybe using too much plastic?

I've been pretty disappointed in the Brooks Ghost 15 and 16. I was hopeful this model would be better, but I still don't love it. The toe box is very narrow, and they are not as supportive as previous models. Wearing the models with more cushion in the insoles, it has left me with knee injuries during training. If I was running a full, I would send them back, but I'm only doing a half. After this set, I probably will seek out a new brand. If they were just for work or walking they may be ok. Also, the colors are so bland.

What happened!! I have loved all my Brooks Ghost tennis until the 16s. They are no where near as comfy and my arches hurt as if I'm wear another name brand shoe. I will stick with the 15s while I can get them.

I received a pair that was subpar due to the fact that there was a crease in the toe that never came out!

I've been buying Brooks shoes for many years and loved every pair I've owned. I usually buy a narrow fit. They stopped carrying the narrow in the Glycerin so I switched to Ghost. The Ghost 15 was great. I bought the Ghost 16 back in June and the shoe wore very quickly. The tread is pealing and almost gone and it has only been a few months. The padding inside has also shown a lot of wear. I walk about 2-3 miles a day and my shoes usually last 6 months to a year. I'm going to try another pair and hoping the last one was a design defect.

I normally don't write reviews but the quality of this shoe has me contemplating what to do next with my shoe choices. I am a long time Brooks Ghost fan and a daily long distance runner. I have been able to wear my Ghosts out of the box with no issues for over 10 years......until the Ghost 16. I am unsure of what they changed in this model but it was not for the better. The toe drop in the front is different causing pain on my big toe and the inside of my front foot rubs. Got a blister in the first 3 miles. Tried again a week later, used different socks and still got yet another blister. I'm unsure if this was a model resign or different manufacturer but I am glad I only bought this one pair of 16's because I'd return them if I was still in my window. I stock up on shoes and leave them in my closet to replace my previous shoes so I'm basically out the money for this model but never assumed this would be a problem because all of the previous models of Ghosts have been fantastic. I'm going to give the 17's one try but if they are similar to the 16's, I'm going to have to switch to a new brand of shoe.

I've worn Brooks shoes for nearly 20 years, have owned nearly 100 pairs. But I might be done with Brooks now. I have a new pair that I brought to Australia for a 3 month trip, and right away they formed a crease along the top of the big toe in both shoes, which rubs on the toe and is super painful. No way for me to exchange them because I'm on the other side of the world. These shows are too expensive for this sort of flaw. When I get home these will be thrown out and I will find a new brand. You had a good run Brooks, but this is too big a problem for me to overlook.

I wear size 11 women's. The shoes I bought were 11 1/2 wide. They still hurt my feet when I wore them, especially the toes. There was like a hard spot by each big toe. Am returning.

Don't like at all, miss the Ghost 15. These are too flat and both shoes squeak when walking and running. Bad purchase and now stuck with them. I will have to try something other than Ghost which has been my go to for 15 yrs.
