I have bought Ghost 9 D (wide) for many years. They've always been my go-to for comfort and providing the ability to have a long day on my feet. I am exceedingly disappointed in the Ghost 16's. They are smaller in length and width than all of the previous versions. I am not the only one that is saying this. I've seen similar reviews on the Ghost 16 elsewhere. Why would Brooks company do this and risk losing customers?

This is the 2nd Ghost 16 I tried- the first one was a 7.5 W, very sloppy fit; the second Ghost 16 was 7.5 Med. width, not comfortable at all, my heels hurt, right foot goes numb. This is the worst Ghost shoe and I been wearing Ghosts for yearsI'm extremely DISAPPOINTED. Returning and don't know what to try ??

I gave it a two star because this pair was to big for me and it's the size I normally wear So I'm not sure what happened to this pair but I don't like them

I purchased the ghost holiday version; very cute with green canvas, ornaments in orange, candy cane trim and shoelaces. The shoe just did not fit my foot. The material was rather stiff, and with thick socks rubbed a bunion. With thin socks I got a blister on my heal. I was extremely disappointed the shoes didn't work out! I'd really wanted a cute holiday running shoe.

Don't like the larger toe box. Ghost used to fit my forefoot perfectly, now I have to add a 1/2 insole to take up the additional space.

I have worn Brooks for years as I am on my feet all day for work and I am so disappointed in this series #16. They just don't have as solid of a base and they lose support so quickly. The ghost 14 was so much better quality and held up longer. I sure wish you'd go back to that style.

At first these sneakers started out as comfortable with a lot of cushioning. The longer I wore them, the more my feet hurt, specifically the outer part of my foot near my pinky toe. I do not have a wide foot so I'm not sure if the design of this shoe was changed, but I can no longer wear these for an extended walk outside. I have never had a problem with Brooks sneakers before but these sneakers are not for me. I will be returning them.

Heel feels extra thick. The makes me feel like I'm running more on my toes which I don't enjoy. I've also worn the same size of ghosts for 10 yrs and with the 16 in my regular 9 I feel like my toes are hitting the front constantly while running. I'm not sure if this is due to the thicker heel or if they run small.

Too wide in the toe. My Ghost 15's are perfect. Why did you change them. Had to return the Ghost 16.

Wider than previous versions of my favorite shoe. Unfortunately, too wide for me. Also, I didn't care for the color, but tried it because that was the only color available in my size

I've been a long time ghost 13,14&15 and glycerin 19 & 20 wearer but the toe box design change in this ghost 16 and glycerin 21 hurts my big toe. I don't have wide feet so I found this really strange. I'm disappointed because this was an exchange. After a 2 mile run, my toes were so sore. I decided to make these walking shoes but and went to do an errand in them but they were still causing pain. So now they are sitting in the box in my closet.

Too Cramped - runs small? My big toe is sore at the end of the day. Fully expect to have a hole in the mesh sooner than later

Not what they used to be. I've bought Brooks Ghost for over 6 years. I've bought more than 15 pairs. Every year is where. When I first purchased, a pair would last me almost a year. Now I'm lucky to get three months out of a pair. They are less rubber and more foam. Less support. They are more and more expensive and less and less quality.

I want my ghost 14 option back! These are not comfortable, do not provide good support, are very flat even with the claim of having added support. And the pattern isn't cute at all.

I've run in Ghosts since 2016. I ordered the Ghost 16. The shoes were defective. In one shoe, the arch was closer to the ball of my foot and the cushioning was built up in the back. The other shoe was made properly with even cushioning throughout, and the arch was in the correct location. Returned the shoes and went into a local running store where I tried on Ghosts until I found a pair that fit correctly. Quality control needs to be better with this version.

I used to have ghost 14s and I loved them so I thought I'd try these. I got a blister after the first wear and shin splints after three wears. I keep thinking they will break in but unfortunately I don't think they will and I may just have to let them go. Not sure what changed from the earlier models.

They were incredibly comfortable when I first put them on. But I ran just three miles and my Morton's neuroma flared up after close to a year of no pain running in Ghost 15s. I had started running in Brooks to calm it down, and 15s did the trick. I assume the toe box is just different or a little smaller in the 16. I had to return them.

I have been a brooks ghost fan for 6+ years. I buy 4 pairs a year because I walk every day. Although the shoes fit as expected and great as usual. BUT the change in the sole design and material is very disappointing. The sneakers were bald after 3 weeks as opposed to 2.5 months. I will be trying a different style this time because I cannot buy 12 pairs a year. Disappointing.
