My go-too running shoe is Brooks. Nothing feels or performs like the Ghost. Two years ago I ordered Ghost 15's in 9.5 wide. They fit perfectly. So I ordered the Ghost 16 (on sale) in same size/width. Unfortunately it took me three runs to realize how oversized these sneaks are. They are WAY too roomy in every direction. Now I can't return them and will donate to charity. So disappointed!

This is my second pair and so far I'm having trouble with the tongue top area of the shoe. I've run in Ghosts forever but this model seems to be giving me a blister in areas I've never had before. Top area of my foot and close to the side of the big toe. The tongue doesn't seem to stay in place well and has a little too much material there. I think that's why the blistering.

I thought I bought the exact same pair that I bought last time, but they seem to have less toe room.

Comfortable, fells like a great fit when standing or not moving. However, once I start moving the cushioning is "unstable" (for lack of a clearer description) and my feet bounce in the shoe.

Over all just not as good as the ghost 15 and precis versions. Feels cheaper. Doesn't fit as well. Fingers crossed they get better in the next version.

I've been wearing Brooks for years, but the toe creases are hard to ignore anymore. I chatted with Brooks and was told that the problem is usually when the shoe is too small. So I went up a half size. The larger size is more comfortable, but just two days after receiving them, the toe creases showed up. :-( Good news is that the larger size means the creases aren't wearing on my toes. This problem goes back at least to Ghost 12 (shown in the photo with three pairs) so I've really been ignoring it for a long time. But sadly it's become a deal breaker. I will keep this latest pair, as I have all the others, but from here on I begin the quest to find another favorite shoe.

Nice looking shoe, but ZERO arch support!! They are still comfortable, but I would much prefer good arch support!! They also run small. I am a size 10. I ordered size 10. My toes make contact with the front of the shoe....just barely, so I kept them thinking they would be okay. But after wearing for a day, my toes ached from being too short! I am bummed because I can't return/exchange them now since I wore them. :(

I've had so many pairs of Ghosts over the years. This one is not good. Sizing is standard Brooks sizing. Even though it's a neutral shoe, I pronate more in these than other Ghosts. There is a HARD plastic-like piece at the top of the toe box. It hurts! I really don't understand why they put that there, but beware for your toes. I wish they would remake the 13s!!!!!!

I didn't feel any cushion in either shoe. The right side shoe feels like there is a defect that hits me right the the ball of my foot. Very annoying.

Double wide is great, thanks for making this size. Insides need to be made softer

I've been a loyal Ghost customer for several years. I ordered the 422 - Peacoat/Raspberry/Apricot in 9.5 wide (my usual size). I'm a RN and the Ghost s have always been super comfortable. These felt like there was less cushion and the sides of my feet ached. I returned them. I still want to stick with Brooks brand but need a different style. I'm not a runner and have some arthritis in my feet. I'd love some suggestions.

The cushion seems OK, not that supportive and the shoe itself isn't very supportive

Not a bad shoe, looks nice and feels cushy on the sole, but for me the padding in the heel area was aggressive, tight, creates friction. I have a narrow heel too so I don't know how this works but everyone has a differently shaped foot. But the padding is thick and very firm at the heel. I have slightly wide forefoot and this seemed to fit fine in that area. I'm in a 9 in street shoes and got this in a 9.5 which I think was the right size, maybe 1 cm longer than my big toe.
I'd also recommend:
Keen, Merrell

They were not as comfortable as other ghosts. Not as much cushion or support. Had to return. A+ on return process though!

I usually wear a 7 D or Wide in New Balance. Some reviews of Ghost 16 mentioned Narrow and Short so I ordered a 7.5 Wide. Toe box area was still narrow for my feet and it still felt short. I will return and order size 8 wide.

Disappointed! I previously wore the Ghost 15 and loved that shoe. I read a few reviews stating that the heel cup is not deep enough and their foot comes out. I decided to still try them since I loved my previous pair. Unfortunately, I should of listened to the reviews. The heel cup is very shallow and feels awkward. I ordered my normal size of 10.5m and these were at least a half size to small. I expect more for the cost of Brooks.

Really wanted to like these but the back of the heel is extremely stiff and rigid. It is well padded but I could still feel the back of the heel cup digging in. Will have to return and get a different model.

Didn't feel neutral, and my heel felt like it was sinking on one side in the back, I thought it was just this shoe so I tried them on in store too and it's the same. I prefer older models, shame they changed, seems cheaper in the way it was made, less durable but more lightweight.

I was pretty shocked upon receiving the shoes to discover they have little to no arch support for someone with high arches. I knew immediately: I'd have to return them. I had high hopes for what is, by most accounts, the best walking/running shoe out there, but with my high arches and the fact I'm not getting any younger, these just don't work for me.

These shoes are OK. I was hoping that they might've had more cushioning and arch support.

I've loved all the previous ghosts, but something in this is different. I'm a nurse in an icu and on my feet 12-14 hours a day. My heels are killing me.

This is my second pair Of this shoe. Both are the same size, but different colors. I love the style of both , but they fit differently. 1st blue pair is a perfect fit and the gray pair is tight. So that is disappointing.
