These don't breathe at all. My feet feel like they are in a pool of sweat. I've only used Brooks shoes over the past few years. This is my first time with the Ghost style. I definitely won't be purchasing it again. I had to start wearing my old, worn out Brooks shoes because they have better air flow.

I've been running in the Ghosts for probably 10ish years and I knew immediately that the 16s were going to be an issue. The tow box is MUCH wider than previous pairs & it caused my toes to slam into the front of the shoe. The tongue is also an issue digging into the outside of my right ankle. I eventually got used to the tongue issue, but I now how a hard bump where it was digging in. In all my years of running I've never lost any toenails, until I started wearing the 16s. My left big toenail is a nightmare... bloody, bruised, and the nail is hanging on by a thread. I hate writing a bad review because I love the Ghosts dearly, but man these were just not for me! Giving the 17s a whirl and hoping for the best! For reference I have a narrow foot with a high arch. Not bad for shorter runs, but long distance is a definite NO.

Very disappointed in the quality of these. This is my second pair of Brooks, and there's a night and day quality difference from my first pair.

I had 2 pairs of ghost 14. I was in love. This new 16 are not the same. They are uncomfortable, stiff. They make me feel pain on the bottom of my foot.

They didn't fit, still waiting on a return slip .

Three steps running in the Ghost 16 and I knew they would not work. The shoe seems smaller than past editions and my toe was right at the end of the shoe. I've worn Brooks Ghost for years for many reasons and one was the solid heel. I don't like a soft landing. Brooks complete revised the heal so that each strike is mushy. I am now scrabbling to find every Ghost 15 I can to tide me over until I find a new shoe to replace my formerly loved Ghost.

Not Wide. I love the Ghost shoe but I hate constant "updates". The wide is not actually wide any longer. Quality has gone down as well.

Ghost 15 were my favorite shoes and the only ones I could find with lateral longitudinal arch support which I need to prevent footpain. I ordered one of the Ghost 16 to try and although that support is still there, everything else is different. The upper feels incredibly thick/rigid and the heel rubs terribly. I even miss the old woven shoelaces which I loved because they absolutely never came untied. Unless they Ghost 17 is a completely different shoe, I will have to find new shoes again. SO dissapointed. Oh yeah, like another reviewer said, the colors are absolutely AWFUL (and so far the 17s look even worse). What happened to the fun designs and patterns in the 15???

I have been wearing Ghost sneakers for as long as I can remember. They have always been the most comfortable shoes for me, whether I'm walking, weightlifting, or working a 12-hour shiftthey're my go-to. My 15s are starting to wear out, so I decided to purchase the 16s. I'm so disappointed! They don't fit at all and are extremely uncomfortable. I have to return them and am hoping the 17s will be better; otherwise, I'll need to search for a different shoe.

I've honestly never had trouble with my feet until I bought these issues. They hurt all the time.

Horribly uncomfortable and the shortest laces I've ever seen. You can barely even tie them. Never mind double knot. The tongue is a ridiculous shape that digs into you feet making it actually painful. Super disappointed as I love my current pair of Brooks

The quality and comfort is not what you would expect if you are a past Ghost fan. The toe box is really uncomfortable. The footbed feels harder with less cushion and movement.

I returned these shoes. (I even tried a different size and return those ) They feel totally different than any other ghosts I have owned. I've been a ghost lover for years. Bummed that they changed the fit.

I was trying to replace my Ghost 14 shoes that I love. The Ghost 16 did not work, to wide in the toe area and the shoe was very uncomfortable around my ankle bone. I returned the shoes, thank God for your return policy, it is remarkable. I have placed my order for Ghost 17, hopefully they will be better. I phoned Customer Service and based on her guidance I ordered the Ghost 17. Thank you Brooks!

Ghost's have always been my favorite but this revamp is terrible. The toe bed is narrow and has hard plastic encasing that rubs the top of the big toe. Maybe consider sizing up for this version but I'll stick with Glycerin and Revel until they fix this poor design.

I love the shoes but they are too small. I have 2 other Brooks sneakers so I ordered the same size but these are too small

For the past few years, the Ghost designs have not been a good fit for me. This is the worst design yet. The toe box is wider across the mid foot (which is good) but narrows at the end swishing my toes together.
