I have bought Hoka Speedgoats for years. These are far narrower than anything I have bought. I always buy 8D and these don’t fit at all.

Nice comfortable trail Runner. It seems the shoe is more narrow than the Speedgoat 5 so if borderline some may want to consider a wider shoe.

I've owned the Hoka Speedgoat 4 for a while but hadn't put many miles on them since I stopped trail running. Unfortunately, I made the massive mistake of taking these on a pilgrimage in Shikoku, Japan. Within days, I developed painful blisters so severe I needed urgent medical care. It completely derailed part of my trip.
For context: I'm a Boston Marathon qualifier, and I've logged thousands of miles in many different shoes. I was wearing cushioned Balega socks, which I've used consistently during marathon training without issue. So I know this wasn't user errorit was the shoe.
Whether it's the shape of the upper, the seam placement, or just poor long-wear design, these shoes were absolutely the wrong choice. I will never buy Hokas again.

Feels ok, still have to get out on the road or trail the really feel them out. Just wearing in the house right now. Will progress to the street when the weather changes.

I have been in speedgoats since the 1st one ( that one was not the best, not enough toe box room for me ). My only issue with the 6 is the tongue is too short. I fixed it with some added tabs. Would not let me add a picture, just add couple of strips of narrow duck tape on both side of the tongue. On my 2nd pair of the speedgoat 6, got about 9 or 10 months out my 1st pair of 6's. It has been a great shoe for me. And don't complain about the color, just go get them dirty.

I run every day (since 1992) and have been through all runnng shoes out there. In my humble opinion, the speedgoat is by far the best choice for road and trail running. Best built, best comfort, best durability, best consistency from model to model, best value. Highly recommend.

I thought the speedgoat 6 would fit the same as 5. The new speedgoat 6 are WAY more snug, to the point where it's slightly cutting off circulation.

I have bought so many hokas that I never worried about comfort or fit these are the worst ever I brag about hokas to my friends but wow these are hard as a rock I will have to look at other brands now .They use to be like walking on firm pillows.

Long time user of the speed goat product: 3, 4, and 5. Purchased the speed goat 6 from Hoka website. The shoes arrived were coming unglued. Just poor quality and finish. I never wore them and returned them to Hoka. Very easy return process. Hoka did a nice job of quickly sending me a new pair. The new pair were much better in finish. I wore them about 6 times, less than two weeks when the shoe string sliced through the eyelet on the left shoe when I was tying the shoe. I contacted Hoka and great customer service. They arranged for the failed shoes return and refunded my money. I am disappointed in the quality control of the shoe and the poor durability of the shoe that was known as a very high quality and durable shoe. I am pleased the customer service is good. I hope Hoka refocuses on the quality of their shoes.

Had seen my entire Dr. office have these on and decided to buy some. Glad I did. Softest shoes I have worn and feels like they heal my feet. Been on several hikes and they correct my walking so, that my knees don't hurt after long hikes. Well worth the cost and will probably be buying more in the future.

Seriously fire whoever is in charge of the colors. Don't bother trying to defend it either. A simple google search will show most people hate it.

I've been looking for a new pair of base/field shoes (baseball umpire) for years. These fit perfectly, have a mild amount of cleatage, and should be relatively cool when I'm on the field in the Summer and the sun is beating down in a 90+ degree day.

I have been wearing Hoka speedgoats for several years now usually wearing out 2 to three pair a year. I have wore the Speedgoats anywhere from 14ers in Colorado, The AT in North Ga, Trails in the Grand Canyon, and the Alps in Switzerland. I have swore by these shoes and have talked them up to every fellow trail runner and hiker I know, but this model is a different story. Unfortunately Hoka has made several changes and not for the better on these models. They took away the roomy and cushy feel of the Speedgoats and have made them narrow, uncomfortable, and too stiff. I get some people may like a stiff narrow technical shoe, but that's not been the staple of what the Speedgoats have been known for. I believe judging by the reviews and the comments on videos showcasing these shoes I'm definitely not alone in this view. Hoka please take people's feedback into account when designing the next Speedgoat model. For now I'll be trying out some similar models from other brands.

Purchased for the LBL 50 mile in the event the course didn't dry enough. It provided plenty of grip up the hills and in the low spots still muddy from the previous rains. Stable across rocks and roots. Perfect for a trail run/race.

I purchased this shoe for walking on vacation. The toe started peeling off after just a few times wearing it. The warranty department said they will not take it back because it was a wear issue. I have a pair I wear every day that got more wear them my speedboats in the first few days of work. Been wearing them every day for almost three months. No issue. The Speedgoat can't handle 6 days on a cruise ships, but the Bondi can handle 6 months in a work setting?
Shame on Hoka not backing their warranty's! Stay away from the Speedgoat! Way too much money for junk!

I trail run with these shoes aren't very comfortable. I normally run in Clifton's and the two shoes can't compare as far as comfort. After a run, I'm glad to take them off.

Great traction on rough terrain with good cushioning. Just not as responsive nor lightweight as I was looking for.

Shoe runs half size small vs SG5. I have had a pair of SG5's for a year and love em.
Foot bed not as soft as SG5's but only a week or two into wearing them.

Shoe felt tight for a trail shoe. I'd recommend sizing up a half size.

Better technical shoe than my MS4s which I love. Fantastic feel on the trail. I've had the 2,3,4, and 5 and this shoe is better. The Vibram on the 5 was soft and made a sticky sound on my tile floor. Not the 6, so I think it's going to be more durable. Only minor flaw is the tongue slit for laces is too low; so with a partially gusseted tongue I took it out and could tighten the bottom laces perfectly. I'm an 11D and wear 11.5 in Hoka's.
