Shoe overall is solid. Tounge bed built into shoe is short and a bit awkward

Shoes have the vibram sole, but are very meshy, you can see your socks through them. Also, the tongue is impossible to get past, even with thin nylon socks, the inside of the tongue catches on your socks and folds under the laces.

I recently picked up the HOKA Speedgoat 6, and I can confidently say this is a 10/10 purchase for me.
Right out of the box, the fit felt spot onsecure without being tight, and with just the right amount of room where it matters. It hugs the foot comfortably, making it feel stable whether you're walking, running, or just on your feet all day.
The cushioning is outstanding. It's soft enough to absorb impact but still responsive, so you don't feel like you're sinking. Long hours in these don't leave your feet tired, which is a huge win.
On top of that, they actually look really good. It's not always easy to find trail shoes that perform well and have a great design, but these definitely check both boxes.
Overall, I'm 100% happy with this purchase. Great comfort, excellent fit, solid performance, and stylish to bootdefinitely worth the money.

I was surprised they felt so tight. Had to return. I have never worn a size larger than the 10 that this shoe was.

Not a big fan of the tapered thickness tongue. It tapers to near paper thin around the top edge. I worry that when I pull on the tongue, sooner or later it is going to rip. Plus it is so thin that it always gets folded backwards when I put my foot in the shoe.

I usually don't ride for my golf game and I find this shoe is excellent for walking the course. It offers great grip on wet grassy slopes. Very comfortable and supportive.

Fit and size is good. Unfortunately after 4 trail runs the sole began to detach from the shoe upper. It is actually quite substantial too on both shoes.

Color was shown as gray, looks somewhat gray indoors but in the sun it is straight purple. The heel loop is horizontal, which I can't stand. Not as comfortable as I thought they should be. Rarely wear them.

I did about 400 miles a few years ago on an older model speedgoat, so getting back into trails now and thought this would be a trusted design. But I have some bone spurs including ones on top of my feet above the arch. So I need the tongue area to be soft and forgiving. Unfortunately these are designed with a somewhat structured tongue and an odd foot shape with a very stiff area around the heel. My feet hurt the moment I tried them on, and wearing them around for a couple hours hoping they would relax didn't help. Really disappointed with a formerly trusted brand! Went to another old faithful wildhorse 10 and they fit immediately with great comfort.

The new Speedgoat 6 has a horrible fit. I can't really comment on the rest of the features, but since the side of the shoe drives into your ankle, it's unwearable. I tried a pair and had to return them after giving it a few tries. I couldn't make it much more than a mile. I used to love the model, and it would have been my fifth pair. But now I've had to look elsewhere. And it makes sense why they keep on offering it at a discount. The people at fleet feet told me the same thing, that many people were returning them for the same problem.

I love that these shoes are made for trail running because I use them for walking on different terrains. They are comfortable, durable and look great. This is my second pair of speedgoats and I hope they keep making them. I like the fact that they don't look wide like a pair of flippers, like some of the other models. 5 stars! Keep making them!!!

Excellent shoe the lightest trail runner I've ever worn I run trails in Northern California where I stop and harvest wild bolete, and chanterelle mushrooms. Most likely will get a 3rd pair since I know they will discontinue shortly..I also bought a pair for my daughter so that's 3 pairs in a month

The Speedgoat just hasn't lived up to expectations since the 5th edition. The 6th is not very durable and the ankle is cut tight, rubbing on your ankles creating a pain that is nasty after a few miles. We did a few longer hikes and I'm sending them back to see if the 7th edition is any better. The one positive note is that the tread and traction is second to none.

I've heard only good comments about Hoka's and decided to give them a shot. I have an extremely high instep, can only wear lace up shoes and boots and have a hard time finding footwear that's comfortable. To compensate, as I did when ordering these shoes, I'll go to a EE width for the extra material in the uppers. Sometimes this works, unless the tongue is anchored to the sides using a non-elastic material. This pair is snug, but I'm able to wear them for extended periods and hope they loosen up a little with time.

Never have had an issue with HOKA shoes. I'm on my 7th or 8th pair. The last shoes I bought, seem to be sized smaller than normal. I usually buy 10.5, but next time I think I need to buy 11.
