The shoes hurt my feet. I wore them a few times thinking that they needed to be broken in. This is just my experience. Everyone is different. I've always had great experience with Hokas.

I recently purchased a pair of Speedgoat 6's and have worn them on a few hikes. Overall, the shoe is okay, but I am disappointed when I compare them to the Speedgoat 5. I have had 4 pairs of Speedgoat 5's and used them primarily for hiking in rocky terrain in AZ. While I found the 5's not to be the most duarble shoe, they were far and away the most comfortable and I was willing to sacrafice the durability for the comfort. My expectation of the 6 was that it was going to be an upgrade to the 5, it was not. Please consider bringing back the Speedgoat 5.

I used this product only on vacations. So in the first few months of owning the shoe, it was worn maybe a dozen times. Noticed how uncomfortable the top of the shoe is with its horrible design for a tongue. Why would you construct such a nice shoe like the Bondi and then design this one so cheap. After only a dozen wears, the rubber on the nose of the shoe has started to separate. If you want a good shoe go with the Bondi. Stay away from this garbage.

I've been wearing Speedgoats since Speedgoat 2s. I've had around 20 pairs as I go through them pretty quickly. I can't believe how backwards they went with the 6. I hope they read the feedback and go back to making the best trail running shoe on the market.

I alternated between two pairs of the camo ones. One of the pairs has over 300 miles and is still feels lively with tread that is decent for their age. 95 percent of my running is trail running which could help explain their remaining tread after so many miles. Going to continue to buy these until I can't find them anymore.

I'm no expert, but it feels about the same as the SG5. Comfy, Grippy, and durable.

I got these after trying the Challenger 7, I had always used Speedgoat since the 4th iteration before that. Challenger 7 to my feet is like a brick compared to the Speedgoat 6. There were a few outlier bad reviews that made me try not want to try to Speedgoat 6 which was a mistake on my part. Speedgoat 6 fits great for me, there is a negligible tightness in the toe box compared to the Speedgoat 5, but not enough to bother me. If you have wide feet definitely get the wide version. I ran a quick 5k after putting them on for the first time and it felt great as if it was my already broken in 5's on my feet. Each footfall was smooth and soft as I have come to expect from Speedgoat. I also did not get any burning on the bottom of my feet like I did the few times I wore the Challenger 7s. Highly recommend you at least try these before anything else in trail shoes.

Having bought well over a dozen pair of models 1-4, which were out of the box 15 mile peak bagging perfect rides, I am so disappointed in the redesign of this shoe. The heel cup is so flattened out that if any rock or branch catches the outside of the shoe half your foot comes out of the shoe. The cheapened toe box and side foot protection now consist of some drips of rubber. These are now an expensive pair of sketchers slip ins. Please fix this shoe, I want to be a HOKA customer again.

It's definitely better than the 5 but it's not great. The Speedgoat Used to be my go-to trail shoe for me for my daily trail runs but the midsole just doesn't have the bounce, cushioning and responsiveness as other models. I wish hoka would give us some sort of supercritical foam update to both lighten the show and give it that pop it needs to compete. I've always loved this shoe line but there are other models within hoka that are way better ( mafate speed 4) other brands that are making similar shoes with much better midsoles and feel superior to this shoe.

Preface: I've been wearing Hokas for a decade, and the Speedgoat 5's are my favorite trail shoe of all time. The Speedgoat 6's are the last Hoka I will ever buy. I wore them for one trail run on a moderately technical local trail. They caused blisters to form on the outside of my feet where the upper folds weirdly due to the overlay extending past the axis where the shoe flexes. I rolled my ankle twice, which has never happened in >600 miles in the 5's. The 6's are very stiff and communicate nothing about the surface - I felt like I completely lacked proprioception when wearing them. They did not have any of the playfulness/springiness of the 5's that made them so endearing. The toe box is a strange shape, too. It tapers excessively, kind of like a men's dress shoe, resulting in laterally-scrunched toes, even in shoes of the correct size. In summary, these shoes feel like running on plywood that gives you blisters. Hoka has managed to completely ruin what was a wonderful shoe. So, I thought, I'll just return these, wait a year, and hope the 7's are better. I attempted to return the shoes using Hoka's 'Retail return policy', which states "Item can be new or used." I paid for return shipping, as per the policy. About three weeks later, I received the shoes back, with a note saying the shoes were not accepted due to excessive wear and tear - apparently Hoka considers a single use as causing excessive wear on their shoes, which should tell you something. I called customer service and was told to take them to any Hoka authorized dealer. I did that, and the local running shop unsurprisingly said "yeah, I can't do that." I called Hoka customer service again, and this time was told decisions from the returns depatment are final and there's nothing they can do. I've wasted over an hour on the phone and another hour running around town, as well as $18 of return shipping, for a pair of shoes that are now going in the trash, where they belong. Never again.

I have 6 pairs of Speedgoats, 4 years old. The material of these new SG6's feels like old fashioned canvas. Nothing like my older shoes.

The tongue is not long enough. The shoe also seems stiffer than previous versions. I would suggest trying another model over this particular model

Poor design: the heel loop came off right away which ripped some of the fabric from the back of the shoe.

Bought a pair in June of last year. Wore them 3x before a 60k trail race and once since then. Cause blisters, rub on my ankles and just look all around awful thanks to the color scheme. Why Hoka, why did you ruin the best trail running shoe? Have used every version since the initial release and the 6's are an uncomfortable disaster................... Currently, they are sitting in my closet waiting to be recycled since my request to return them was denied. Silver lining was that it pushed me to look at other trail shoes by other companies and find some great options. Hopefully Hoka will rebound but I am jaded

I have several Hoka shoes (Arahi, Clifton), all in size 10.5. These Speedgoat 6 shoes in size 10.5 were too tight and I had to return them. Maybe a size 11 would fit but I chose to try a different model instead.

I put around 300 miles on my speedgoat 5s and I loved them. I decided to purchase a set of the version 6 to begin wearing in for when my other ones wear out. Huge mistake, the version 6 is nothing like the 5. Complete upper change, and a 10.5 fit amazing in the v5 but in the v6 it was extremely too tight and had my foot crammed in the shoe. Attempted larger sizes, but was still disappointed. I wish Hoka would go back to the speedgoat 5 design.
