They claim it is basically the same as the 7 but it is just a bit different, I can't explain why but they don't feel as amazing on my feet as the last version.

Love the shoes disappointed that the right top lace hoop broke the shoes are still in fairly good shape now I can't use them.

Due to nerve damage on one foot, for some reason, Lone Peak are the only shoes I can wear at the present. While they change each year, it seerms, the fit is basically the same. Roomy toe box, supportive, comfortable. I wear them all the time, every day, so yeah, they wear out quicker than most. Seems to be the case for all Altra shoes, that's why I did four star review. Wish they lasted longer., and I wish they would offer an all-black selection, because I wear them with everything. Please bring back all black Lone Peaks!!!!!

I've been wearing Altra Lone peak running shoes for over 5 years. Wish the laces were a little longer (use them for hiking and like to lace differently for downhill hikes and they are barely long enough). Glad they brought back a darker color again.

This is a great shoe! I've always loved the lone peak. I don't think this is my go to trail runner any more with the mont blanc and new timp but it is still a great shoe

This is definitely a comfortable shoe it's molded to a human food than other shoes in the market right now. The only issue I have is that the top of the shoe does feel a little tight so you might want to size a half size up if possible.

This was so comfortable to run in even out of the box! I wear a size 7 in most running shoes and the size 7 fit perfectly. You do have to like a wide fit on your toes to love this shoe. I think it's great for running, I feel like my toes have room to breathe and it's comfortable for trails. The low cushion is also so comfortable, doesn't feel too low either. Great support!

I love these zero drop shoes. There is a little cushion but they are not squishy. I don't feel any loss of energy when running and they are stable enough for crossfit. I do wish the insole was removable.

I love this shoe for longer trail runs or when I'm on my feet all day walking around.

These shoes are absolutely beautiful. They are a navy blue with a bright color on the bottom. They are super comfortable and I can see myself running errands and even running in them. I just wish I didn't order a wide because it makes the front look kind of funny, and the wide is too big for me. Other than that I love these! My mom is jealous. she wants a pair!

I was so happy to find this wide Altra lone peak 8. Finally my toes were not hurting anymore. Now I'm on a hiking trip 4 weeks in and the shoe broke. I'm so sad since my trip is all about hiking

I absolutely love my loan peak 6's I even went online to look for resale of them because none of the newer versions compare to the quality and fit of the 6's. I wear them for my job as a nurse, 12 hr shifts and workouts. I can't wear regular shoes with small toe box area anymore and would really appreciate if the 6 was brought back. I buy new sneakers every 6 mos. I have only bought 6's for the past 2 yrs, I don't even care about the color. I bought one pair of 7's and see that the 8 and 9 will be just the same. The material at the toe is so much cheaper, the toe box is too wide and the piece in the middle of the traction is gone. I will buy every 6 mos for years if 6 is brought back and stays the same! Started wearing these years ago, but each year the new models have become less comfortable. The toe box has become shallower and narrower. I'm on the hunt for something different. They are my hikers and everyday shoes. I won't buy them again.

After wearing these for years with "zero" problems and loving them, I suddenly had problems with my last pair. They are now laced in a half circle at the base of the flap. Relaced the regular way and relief.

I have worn Altra running shoes for many years and love them. I wear a custom insole. My problem is the heel depth feels more shallow now, and my heel no longer fits fully into the shoe. Why?

I wear the shoes to stand all day at my job and they are very comfortable. My only complaint is the color was not as expected.

Bring back the thinner heel cushion and tongue like the #6 please!

I love the look of these! I'm so sad I have to return them. I have the Paradigm which have been lifesaver since tearing plantar plates (both feet) and was looking forward to the same support in gray. I thought I could possibly change out the inserts, but the cushioning comes from the base of the shoe. Would LOVE high cushion ultras from this exact look.

What happened to the berry /purple colors? Will you be coming out with that. I saw a high top black and purple

These aren't as comfortable as previous Lone Peaks. They are stiff! I don't know if it's the midsole, insole, or both. Maybe the materials have changed? The cushion is just not there. I used to sell these as a pillow top mattress for your feet (with great support), but not this year. The color selection is excellent!

Someone else commented that Altra needs to bring back the Lone Peak 6's and I could not agree more and second that vote. The new versions of the shoes are too plush and padded feeling and aren't true to what made these shoes so great. I've bought these shoes for many generations and the 6s were the best.

Lone pine 8. Feel like plastic. They are navy not black. I liked my green canvas lone pine but this last pair is awful.

Just been walking around. Too tight at the instep. Tried different laces and lacing configurations but just don't work. Very uncomfortable feel. Surprised because I have worn Altra for years.
